I’m a little bit concerned that my car will hit the curb. What do you think about it? Will the system recognise it? I really don’t want to scratch my rims.
I’ve driven a few different brands of cars with these systems, and I’ve never had one scratch a wheel yet. It’s still good practice to keep an eye on what’s happening outside the car, so you avoid any minor accidents
@@WebbyOnCarsMy bullbar sensors have never worked properly. Even after 2 visits to ARB. I would never trust the park assist. Never used it in the 4 years owning this Ranger.
You’re absolutely right! It does take a while to trust the system, but once you’ve used it a few times it’s much easier. They do park a bit close to the kerbs sometimes, but I find it’s pretty consistent which is nice.
hi...does you hear sqeak, popping noise when you make fast U turn?..or when you make U turn and hits a bump..it is metal to metal sound....in my caise it is steering stops (lock-stops)..is it normal?
If you're not sure how to use the semi-active park assist on your Ford Ranger or Everest, this video will explain everything you need to know.
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Everest in Australia, where are they assembled ?
@@gutadin5 they’re all built in Thailand
@@WebbyOnCars are the Ranger Wildtrak and Everest in Australia reliable? 3 years or 50,000 kms without any issues.
@@gutadin5 you shouldn’t have any problems in that timeframe doing that mileage
Thank you for the video. Does the XLT 2.2 2020 have a park assist?
@ithutengnkhereanye3362 We don't get that engine here in Australia, so I don't know. Park assist was an option on that year of Ranger XLT though

I still havent done it in my AMG , Webby I might need your "assistance" 😉
@MDW8 most people who have that function on their car don’t use it which is a shame because it works really well
Does it brake or does the driver do that while parallel parking
@Murray Hall The car only does the steering so the driver has to do everything else
Continually going from lock to lock while stationary. Stressing the steering linkages & scrubbing the tyres..
@diver4818 True, but I don't imagine many people use this feature every day
What about when your going out of the the parallel parking? Is there also an automatic assistance? Thanks
No, the system doesn't get you out of a parking space unfortunately.
So then I'm trapped in a spot I don't have the skills to escape from safely, lol.
Do you also keep your feet off the pedals? Or do you need to apply brake? .. Couldn't quite hear what u said
You have to do everything apart from the steering, so yes you do have to operate the pedals
Is this system in the 2019 Ford Ranger Wildtrak PX3
WOW I LOVE IT
@Ian Harrison Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video
Does the 2023 xlt ranger have this equipped
@oldmanJ No, only on Wildtrak, Platinum and Raptor models.
Would the park assist still work with a bullbar fitted to the vehicle?
Yes, as when a bull bar is fitted, all the factory sensors are swapped over onto it.
@@WebbyOnCarsMy bullbar sensors have never worked properly. Even after 2 visits to ARB. I would never trust the park assist. Never used it in the 4 years owning this Ranger.
Very impressive wow
It’s amazing how well it works!
Can park assist be retrofitted to a 2017 ranger wildtrak?
@tyronvangreunen No, it has to be installed when the car is built
Does Wildtrak 2018 have parking assist too?
If it was built towards the end of 2018 it would have. To be sure, it would have a sensor on the side of the front bumper.
Works well but very scary. Can you adjust the speed at which it reverse’s . PS thanks for the video
@stephen rayner because the driver controls everything apart from the steering, then you can control the speed with the accelerator pedal
Do you need to press the brake to stop??
@Terenzo Esau Yes, as the driver controls the pedals and the vehicle does the steering
@@WebbyOnCars Thanks
@@terenzoesau702 no worries at all
Good information, thanks for sharing

Why dose mine say parking spot found as soon as I press the button when there is no parking spot behind ?
@Mike Batterham Not sure. Might be worth taking it to your local dealership to get checked
you need to trust the system, funny it works works so well, although i always find it parks really close to the kerb

I've never heard of that at all. I'd talk to your local Ford dealership and get them to check it for you.
Hopefully it's nothing serious! 🤞
Is this 4×2?
No, this is a Wildtrak which is only available as a 4x4 here in Australia
Is the Wildtrack still available with the 6 speed manual?
Yes, but only with the 3.2 engine
@@WebbyOnCars thank you
Shame that colour isn’t available in the UK
Unless the sunlight is fooling my eyes
@Mehmet Guner the colour is called Aluminium and is very popular here in Australia
What about Ford Raptor?
The Raptor doesn’t get this feature, it’s standard on the Wildtrak and optional on XLT & FX4
A lot of "dry" steering for that manoeuvre.
True, although I don’t think it will cause any issues as I don’t imagine many owners will use the parking function on a regular basis
Why??? If you don’t know how to park stay off the road
@Adrian Ford Some people may want to use this feature. A lot of people shouldn’t be on the road regardless of their ability to park a car!🤣🤣
