hello Jplayskeys, your lessons are quite excellent and i like the fatness of your chords. please is it possible to explain your use of the chords you choose? for example you use F, F sharp and C sharp on Eb for your 2 chord, whats the explanation for it? i would love to understand so i can apply to other keys. thank you very much
chords are nice, but the explanation of them can be improved. This is actually not a progression of C#, its actually F#. You started on a F# chord over C#. Also the key of C# , all notes are sharp. You are not in the key of C#.
Joel Ramos well in the key of c # , all notes are sharp. If so, he should have explained explained the enharmonics correctly. You can’t have an a flat in the key c#. Aflat is the same as g sharp. Aflat does not fit in the chord spelling.
@@TheDivaInOrange thas just a matter of preference in my opinion if you know that A flat is G# than you won't have a problem some people like to call them flat some # makes no difference as long as u get the note right imo....
Joel Ramos it’s not a matter of preference if you are trying to understand the chord progressions and how you can play them in different keys other than the key he is playing in. A flat has no relation to C sharp unless that scale degree is lowered a whole step. In this case, it was not. It was misnamed which can be confusing to people trying to understand what he is playing and transfer it to other keys. That’s all im saying! I love this progressing but it’s a bit confusing as to how it was explained. For example. The first chord could be considered an F# chord with the 5th (c#) in the bass. Theoretically speaking, the chord spelling is incorrect is all I’m saying in a nutshell 🤷🏾♀️

Renise Burton thank you.
With all do respect he is def in the key of C#....the basic....c#sus2 D#m7 Fm7 F# minor( which is the minor 4th)
