I know I sound like a Gushing Fanboy, but you just keep the incredible videos coming! You take full advantage of one of the best things about kayaking-going places you can't reach without them. My local example is Lord's Cove in the Connecticut River. It can only be reached through an inlet that's only a couple of feet deep at low tide, keeping most or all powerboats out. I'm much bigger on kayaking than camping, but I have twice camped on Knight Island in Lake Champlain. Its a bigger island, not a "wild" as this, but only has 6 (?) designated campsites on a mile-long island. I used the one at the tip of the island, the only one without a lean-to, but by far the nicest-great views, my own gray sand beach, and probably a whole acre to myself! I'd LOVE to replicate you trip in the height of summer, but I'd think about permission. The clean, pristine condition probably is because the access is restricted. You may have gotten lucky by visiting in the fall, when no one really feels like coming out to the island to bust one camper.

Nice video. I lived on L.I. and Brought up in Brooklyn. I'm familiar with most places you go. I like the varieties of videos you do and the places you pick, whether camping. exploring, urban, etc. I requested this once before that you give us a real good tour of your gear, keyaki, cooking gear and most of all your camera set up on your keyaki with getting front, side and the way your camera pans sometimes. Love your videos man. You do a great job! I love the urban kayaking stuff but I know that type of content is limited. I think the most recent north brother island video was my favorite because it contained many different things in one video, abandoned buildings, history, urban kayaking and camping. Who knew owls were there? I suspect the trains were the Amtrak trains from Randell’s island? The fire island one was also really interesting. You do what makes you happy and we will continue to watch because we watch for you. Are you based in Long Island? All the best!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching and commenting. I'm always looking for new ideas and suggestions! I appreciate the fact that you watch for me and wherever I decide to go. I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos you mentioned. Those took a lot of work to create. A lot of people don't realize how difficult it is to create videos and film all these activities solo. Some people can be very critical of RUclipsrs as well. I really appreciate your support. Yes, I'm based on LI. I was born in Flushing, Queens. I've lived in Florida and Vermont for many years and back in NY now. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
Hi Matt! Another great adventure as we love watching you on these, I don't need to go camping to eat those feeze dried meals I keep some handy for when I'm in the dog house and she won't cook Lol😁 just kidding see you on here soon! Take care thanks for taking us along🙋❤️🐻
😅🤣😂 Thank you so much for watching and commenting. The freeze-dried meals are good when I need to travel light. They are pretty good. I enjoy them. Thanks again.
What a beautiful island. I can't imagine how quiet and peaceful it must be there. And the Snowy Owl (I believe a female) footage was incredible. Great job, Matt.
I love it all,but especially when you went hiking to fire Island. And on the sad side when you go kayaking in the city. The debris and junk that humans leave and pollute is sad.
Thank you! I love all my backpacking trips on Fire Island. Fire Island is my happy place for sure. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it.
Great vid Matt. Sunset footage absolutely beautiful. Showing the different types of garbage was interesting. I think you’re right on the mark doing many varied venues for your vids. IMO, some of your vids could be a little shorter. The Brothers I vid, for instance, was very interesting but a little longish with the exploration of the island. Your joy for life comes through in all your vids. Keep it up. Life is Good!
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate your feedback on the length of my videos. Funny thing is, I know this. Lol. I have a tendency to want to show everything. ALL the scenery and I can't stop myself. I need help. 😂😂😂 I'm still trying to find the sweet spot and master the skills of RUclips editing. It's tough because every viewer has a length and style they like. I definitely want to find the middle ground between documenting everything yet streamlining the videos / clips. Thank you for all the compliments as well. Again, I really appreciate you watching and commenting.
Love this camping stay on that island. Yeah, I for sure looked it up. The site says permission is required and restricted. You're smart and safe, so keep up the amazing channel.
@bx_cyclingchef Thank you. I appreciate you watching and commenting. I'm curious where you saw a site showing it's restricted. I'm not worried about it but haven't seen anything myself. Ignorance is bliss 😊 🤣
love seeing local (for me) Long Island Videos, but i also loved the Bronx River vids, the Flushing Vids and East river one just because I grew up there and love the perspective from the water. Basically keep doing what you like Matt, because its all awesome!
@wouldliketosleep.2845 Thank you! I appreciate you being open-minded and enjoy the varieties of videos that I make. Thank you for watching and commenting.
I like the kayaking and island discovery. Your abandon ship graveyard and ww2 submarine in jersey were great. Love the water expeditions the best! The ocean sunrises and sunsets are always beautiful. The seal sunning on the beach yawning was so cute. Land conservation picking up trash is cool. I think the ww2 submarine was my favorite. All of the different kayak trips have been super. More historical sights might be added. No psycho wards please! 🤣 Glad your over the covid! Driving on the beach was cool. You obviously love Long Island. Your past drone footage was great too. Its a lot of work. Thanks for taking us along. Happy Thanksgiving! GB
I really enjoy your exploration videos as well as camping videos. And taking us along to this isolated island, loved it! So serene, so gently quiet…wonderful 😊.

Awesome you took a morning plunge in the water… made the whole experience complete on that island. Matt, don't know why people pay $500 - thousands a night on hype up glamour camping when they can do almost the same but without linen / first class treatment service. view sunrise / sunset is always amazing when you go! I see you made simple meals this time - still look delicious Lol! I have your last video on save later for reference to cook the salmon the way you did Lol. 😉🍺🍺

Thank you. I live in Queens and I tried to explore the bays of Long Island on a SUP board, but it was very slow. I think I should get a canoe, following your example. Your videos are very motivating.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you think my videos are motivating. I love canoes. They can carry a lot of gear. It's definitely challenging to carry my gear in the kayak. It's doable, though. Years ago, I had a paddleboard. It was a 14 foot race board. It became difficult to transport and store so I sold it. I love my folding, Oru Kayak. So easy to transport and store. The main negative about the bay is that it can get very choppy. It definitely takes planning for the right conditions. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

@@TwoFeetOutdoors I hope it's reliable for you. Toyota has been having some problems with their engines and transmissions lately. What was the problem with the Taco?
@RonCox-f1r The AC evaporator box in the dashboard was cracked and leaking water on the driver's floorboard. Not a major problem, but they couldn't get the part. The Taco's were built in Mexico. The LC is built in Japan. I hope there's a difference and better manufacturing out of Japan. So far, so good. I'm in some LC forums, and everything seems good so far. I love it.

Yeah Matt I like most kinds of those meals to😋
I enjoyed this one. I do have a suggestion for a video, maybe out by Montauk? I'm sure you would see some seals out there. Keep up the great work.
Montauk would be cool. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you 😊
What a beautiful island. I can't imagine how quiet and peaceful it must be there. And the Snowy Owl (I believe a female) footage was incredible. Great job, Matt.
@@tombillotto6335 Thank you so much! I really appreciate you watching and commenting as always. Thank you for your support.

Backpacking, Camping and kayaking all are very relaxing to watch. Great video as always!💯👍
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Awesome 👌 I love all of it. 😊
love seeing local (for me) Long Island Videos, but i also loved the Bronx River vids, the Flushing Vids and East river one just because I grew up there and love the perspective from the water. Basically keep doing what you like Matt, because its all awesome!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching and commenting! I love exploring different parts of NYC and Long Island! Thank you for the support.
Good day . I'd say anything you like. All of it, really. You are in a unique area, so have at it. Be safe and take care. 🍻
GB
Happy Thanksgiving to you!! Thank you so much for this amazing comment. I really appreciate you watching and commenting 😀
I really enjoy your exploration videos as well as camping videos. And taking us along to this isolated island, loved it! So serene, so gently quiet…wonderful 😊.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you watching and commenting.
ww, seals and snowy owls, how wonderful. I hope you get to see interesting and beautiful wildlife on every trip you go.
I really appreciate you watching and commenting. It was a truly awesome trip. I love being out in nature, and any wildlife is a wonderful bonus.
Wow! I am thankful to you for showing us the most beautiful island with that amazing sunset. I am thankful at this Thanksgiving time for you and your family. I live in Brooklyn, and this video is wonderful, relaxing, and my meditation. I think you should do it all!! Thanks.
I appreciate your kind words! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Hey maybe we could do some duo bounty hunting videos outdoors lol.. I am down...What are you doing with all those fresh eggs? Love when you show the seals and those snowy owls were gorgeous.
@@duanedolitsky7203 I had to buy eggs this past week. ☹️☹️☹️ Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Thank you for sharing the video on Facebook.
I like the urban river exploring. How about the Hutchinson River through Mount Vernon?
I do have a video on the Hutchinson River, but it's down in the Bronx. I wasn't feeling great that day. I did some cool exploring, but I need to go back for more. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Thank you for the suggestion. ruclips.net/video/1AO06CPhspM/видео.htmlsi=2152ju8TeDi1lJp7

Wow, I'm not familiar with that, but I love it. What is it from?
Beautiful place to camp! What a luxury with the rising sun and your new sleeping bag! Greetings from the Netherlands :)
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. That sleeping bag is so comfy! Beautiful sunset and sunrise. Thanks again! 😀
Awesome you took a morning plunge in the water… made the whole experience complete on that island. Definitely looked real quiet out there… When I was a young kid we used to go fishing for Flounder in the Moriches Bay. As for future video ideas, would be cool to do some fishing and maybe clean and cook a fish… 🎣
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Didn't you watch my previous video? I mentioned catching and cooking. Or are you being funny? Lol 😆 🤣
That was awesome Matt!!! Thanks for the local content! Loved the 4 wheelen!
Thank you for watching and commenting! I appreciate it. You're welcome for the 4 wheeling. 😀
Another Great video adventure. Keep up the excellent content.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you watching and commenting 😀
Beautiful scenery, I thought that you were going to eat the nuts 😂
Hahaha. No, if I needed to for survival, I would eat them but, no thanks! 🤣 Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it.
See ya next time
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
Great video. Watch out for the great white sharks out in that area. They might confuse your kayak for a seal.
@@steveschwartz6138 Thank you 😊 I appreciate you watching and commenting. Definitely don't want to be lunch for a great white. 😀

I would if it was a necessity. I'm not one to waste food. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
@ that’s cool but really genuinely generous good people love good content is valuable for a healthy life
Matt, don't know why people pay $500 - thousands a night on hype up glamour camping when they can do almost the same but without linen / first class treatment service. view sunrise / sunset is always amazing when you go! I see you made simple meals this time - still look delicious Lol! I have your last video on save later for reference to cook the salmon the way you did Lol. 😉🍺🍺
You’re right, the views are amazing, and there’s nothing better than a simple sunset with a good meal. Thank you for watching and commenting. I do plan my trips heavily around the weather to enjoy the added benefit of beautiful sunrises and sunsets. This experience for zero cost = priceless. 😀
Great views I know the bay great fluke fishing
Thank you 😊 I appreciate you watching and commenting. Tell me about your fishing charters. Might make great content for a future RUclips video.
Love your videos dude!
@@TheHobbsTV Thank you! I really appreciate you watching and commenting. 😀

Kayak, camping and cooking good meals. The one you made with the I think it was salmon, butter and a salad. You should take up smoking cigars. Great way to relax before bed.
Thanks, I loved that salmon and butter meal, too! 😄 Smoking anything is not for me. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
Another good video. Still watching it, but will get a full watch out of me and my dad. What brand dry suit did you get? I'm in the market for one and haven't landed on a solid pick yet.
Mine is Mustang Survival Hudson CCS dry suit. I bought it last winter. Thanks again for watching. I really appreciate it.
We love watching your channel, especially now we live near Buffalo, but we grew up on Long Island and the New York City area , a lot of my childhood was in Shirley so Smith point Beach was my summer hang out. We love watching you do urban kayaking in the New York City area, but a mix of all the above would be entertaining. Thanks for your cool channel.
@@livinthetorahlifeintheburb935 Thank you so much. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. I love Smith Point, Fire Island, etc. 😀 Thanks again!
West of the smiths point bridge is another island pretty straight out from Carmen’s river pretty cool to your gull island what we called 30 years ago me and my dad fished that area for years was fun to watch don’t forget Howard beach the train bridge south side there’s headstones all over would be cool to see used to with dad there to
Yes, John Boyle Island. I've paddled to it. Just haven't camped there. I'll put it on the list. Great idea. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

@ go to full in the summer 100s of boats it’s so different than it looks it looks exotic I mean it is forge river is not far from there the Indian reservation also near is the William Floyd estates old school stuff pretty battles occured there also by that Boyle island is another estate with cannons facing out into the great South Bay pretty cool
@user-S650GT Yeah, I always try to go to places when they're least popular or in the off-season. I go where people aren't. I love people but enjoy solitude on my adventures.

Kayaking, camping, and exploring are cool. It's getting cooler out. Don't know if you will explore in the NY area . Be safe.
Thanks, I appreciate you watching and commenting! I'm hoping to get some more exploring in, even as it gets colder. I dont let the weather stop me from adventures. It just takes a bit more planning. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. I love exploring NYC, LI, NJ etc.
I like you’re formula bro. I gotta admit, I always want to know what you’re gonna eat. Been to cape cod lately?
Thank you. I'm working hard to bring the best content I can. I'm having fun. I'm glad you liked the formula. I appreciate it. I have not been to Cape Cod.
I enjoyed your video and found the island on google maps. Do you make the police or Coast guard aware that you'll be camping on the island overnight?
@atassaro No, I don't. There's no requirement to do so, but I do have a float plan and someone else is always aware of where I am. I keep in contact with them throughout my trip. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
Maybe some kayaking from orient point to shelter island then to the south shore! I love the shelter Island area
Interestingly, I've never been to Shelter Island. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. I also appreciate the suggestion.
You should do a review on your Land Cruiser
@RonCox-f1r Good eye. It's new. I love it so far! It's my favorite vehicle ever. I had a 24 Tacoma but Toyota bought it back under the Lemon Law. There was a part they couldn't get for it. I'm happier with this.
I love it.
@@TwoFeetOutdoors They are cool....
Great video. If you go south, any of the Fla. Keys or Fla. Gulf Islands, esp. Cedar Key
I do have one video that I made in Florida. It was on the Hillsborough River in Tampa. Lots of alligators. I hope you'll check that video out. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate the suggestions as well.
You always fast forward your kayak assembly. How long does it actually take from the time you unzip the package?
You're right, I do. If I wasn't loading camping gear, assembly takes 5 to 8 minutes. It's pretty quick and easy. I just try to make the video flow faster. Packing the camping gear takes a little longer. I need to do a stand-alone video of the assembly process. Here's an assembly video of the kayak by the manufacturer, Oru Kayak. ruclips.net/video/_tCP7bYWWNk/видео.htmlsi=CzYsd9SNsAzhRYrb
@@TwoFeetOutdoors pretty quick, faster than I imagined.

I have seen some very good replicas, such as the bag I bought at kislux . The craftsmanship of modern replicas is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and they are within millimeters of each other. It is difficult to tell which ones are fake.
