I would never own another Hanse after the 430e. Lots of quality issues. The eno cooker was completely useless. The main bulkhead was not glassed in properly, it in some places at all. The deck under the mast collapsed due to the bulkhead issue and the mast jumped off the step at sea. The furniture was delicate and needed continual repair. The fridge compressor was installed into a closed compartment with no way out for the heat so used lots of power and didn't cool properly. The decks leaked and all the hatches were installed with inadequate or no sealant. Fit for sea it certainly wasn't, though I did well over 10,000 miles in it. Never again.
We bought a new 505 in 2015. Put together like a cheap caravan, just rubbish. Some things were ok like the Selden mast and the Elvstrom sails. The rest was awful. Having said that this new 460 looks quite good, at least they got the French to design it.
@@PeroniPete I didn't have a problem with the Judel & Vrolyk design. Like you I had no problem with the rig, or the basic Jefa steering. Unlike Beneteau's with which I have had many steering problems. Almost everything else on the Hanse was problematic. They are a piece of sh*t. Never again.
@skillfuldabest many non-production boats are much better. Boats like Outbound 46, Kaufman 47, Adams 54, Morris 486, Sundeer 56 & 60 are much, much better. Even production boats like X-yachts while far from perfect are much better quality of build & much safer
Agreed the J&V design was good. I liked the oversized rudder. The Jefa steering was good but ruined by the Hanse incompetent autopilot installation. I have delivered tens of Beneteaus. Half of them had steering issues.
Which company supplies these solar panels?
