Both Jim Davis and Barbara Bel Geddes will ALWAYS be Jock and Miss Ellie, you cant replace either one of them for those roles

I agree they were really perfect in these roles. :)

I just can't watch Dallas without Jock. Whenever we see him for the last time, going on the second honeymoon, I go back to the first episode. What a shame he wasn't there for at least 8-10 seasons.

I actually enjoy the years after his passing more. But the show certainly never was the same after Jock passed away. It's a shame he died so young but cancer sucks!

Thanks for watching. I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I agree that Jock and Miss Ellie had a good relationship. It's sad it ended so early... :(

Thanks Jessie. Yes they were amazing. I think they added a special quality to the show, especially since they had been acting in the "old hollywood" before doing tv. Also without Jock and Ellie there hadn't been a sense of family that I think a lot of people can relate to! :)

Clayton Farlow was a POS. She should've married Wes Parmalee, Jock or not. And he was.

Every time I watch this video I like it more and more, it´s so touching! I loved the song from the Dallas LP but your clip selection is great, as usual! Toni

Thank you so much Toni. I really like the song too. It said on the LP that it was Miss Ellie and Jock's song so it was quite obvious what I wanted to do with it. :) x

Bloody typical.Jim Davis waits most of his acting life to be famous, finally it happens and then he is taken from us.

I know. It doesn't seem fair. But at least he made it in his lifetime and was able to appreciate it. :)
