So many superlatives come to mind for this video, difficult to choose one...this is one of your most unique videos yet. The part I liked best was Vincent interacting and playing with the kids in the house. Wish you'd shown more of that, and your family's reaction to this amazing house as well.

    Til Gul = ( Sesame seeds + jaggery )
Til Gul Poli = ( sesame seeds + jaggery + wheat flour )
Khichadi bhaat ( yellow comfort food made from combination of rice n dal along with some spices.... khichadi bhaat is also the preferred food when someone is sick/ ill. )
Usually the woods used in old houses are sagwan ( teak ) ...it's very expensive quality of wood .... the older the wood the higher its price....just a cubic foot of wood can cost 150-200$

Have more fun, great content! :D

I live in Nagpur, i have seen so many such old Heritage houses but most of them are in sorry state like this house, imagine this house was well maintained, walls were painted and grills were not rusty, wood was polished, floor was painted or Decorated and had carpets, furniture was good, and garden was well maintained, this house would look and feel just like dreamlike, it would be a heaven for me ❤, im not that luck that my grandparents left something for me, but if i had owned a house like this, i would have preserved that with every penny i had earned.

Nagpur was the capital of 1 of the Maratha Kingdoms. The Brahmin-caste were patronized by Kings (warrior caste) & granted land near the temples, paid by the state.
The reason the house survived would be because it was near the temple & passed down the generations of Brahmins.

You can rather get a PG/hostel/rented house from suggestions through locals or private hotels

I don't know why people hate Egypt as a travel destination?
I remember there was a vlogger who was exploring slums of Alexandria and he said Egypt sucks.
Those areas in Alexandria were so bad that if a Hollywood director goes there then he will use a yellow tinted screen and show it as Benghazi under ISIS.
    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Then there was an Estonian vlogger who said Georgia sucks and India is awesome.
He said so because in India he visited Mumbai and Goa and he found it warm and vibrant.
He found Georgia cold and gloomy.
But I know that Georgia in terms of population, GDP and topography is like Himachal Pradesh. Georgia has Svaneti while Himachal has Parvati valley. So I take his opinion with a bucket of salt.
However, what I observed is that so many vloggers had good time in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and India. Some of them even went to Pakistan and Iraq and had a good time but in Egypt they were feeling dejected.
Even in your vlogs in Egypt you look dejected and drained.
However the reputation of Egypt has been squashed 😂😂😂 ever since Sonny from Best Food Review made vlogs about it.
What is your take on what I am saying?

    • @yvesthesleeve
      @yvesthesleeve  11 месяцев назад

Well it is a tough one, I kind of like Egypt and the Egyptian people in general, but there are so many scammers in tourist places that nobody will like in the end... for me no problem as I eat these scammers for breakfast but regular people... no so sure. What definitely is bad is the internet that the government controls and that is a reason why vloggers do not like it, it is nearly impossible to upload videos. But this shows you the true character of the government, they want to stay in control which is of course very non democratic, or actually it is more and more democratic what democracy has turned into since the pandemic, more like a fascist control state. It really has absolutely turned, the whole left right thing

Good to see you making an effort at making friends :) .... getting to know the culture is the advantage. Just a couple of points which you did not understand and she got wrong.
    1. Once a Temple is established, the temple and its land belong to god. The people who built it become the 'trustees" of that land and temple i.e. care taker.
    2. As per Indian law and Hindu law, the presiding deity owns the land and temple which is literally his House. (Hence the term, house of god)
    3. Its a joint family and they want to go for redevelopment but some members are reluctant and probably want more money. Its a typical problem with joint families and holdings.
    4. The "Kula" devi she mentioned is the Family Deity. Its the Guardian deity of this particular family. What you would call the guardian sprit. (Kula= family in sanskrit)
    5. Sanskrit and Hindi share the same SCRIPT, just like Latin and English. But just because you speak English does not mean you can speak or understand Latin. Same with Sanskrit.
    6. She can read the sanskrit shlokas written on the wall, but won't understand what she has read just like how you would not understand latin.
    7. The Nav "Nath" she mentioned are the Gurus of the "Nath sampradaya" or "Nath order". Nav=9, so Nav Nath = 9 Gurus from Nath order.
    8. The Nath order is a VERY ancient monastic order. The current UP chief minister is from that order. Yogi AdityaNATH (From Gorakpur city in UP). Legend and Nath history says that his order was started by Shiva himself (Adi Nath = First Nath). But was spread by Lord Dattatray and his famous disciple MatsendraNath (Well know and worshipped in Mongolia) and then his disciple Goraknath (after whom Gorakpur is named and so is the Gorkha's of Nepal).
    9. By looking at the Samadhi site in the temple (foot symbol), its looks like the temple was established by some great Rishi (sage) of the Nath samradaya and their ancestors must have offered him residence there and worshipped him as their family Guru.
    10. Also Looks like their ancestors were associated with Maratha Empire, probably as a commander or a Minister hence this large house. The Grand wooden entrance and reception area indicates that. I would guess they are Marathas.
    11. The bell in the temple is like a calling bell in u'r house. Its to let the god know you are visiting him in his house. Also traditionally the bell is made of Ashtadhatu (ashta=8, dhatu=metal). The frequency of their ringing is supposed to be the same frequency as "OM" and is supposed to "Tune" your body in alignment with the cosmos / Solar system.

    100 thousand (100,000) = 1 Lakh
    100 Lakhs (100,00,000) = 1 Crore. (same as . . .10 million).
    100 Crores (100,00,00,000) = 1 Arab (same as . . . 1 billion).
