SMOKING A PORK SHOULDER IN A GAS SMOKER

  • Smoking a Pork Shoulder (Boston Butt) using a Dura Glo gas smoker.
    Used hickory wood chips pre-soaked in water. Used apple juice ,instead of water, in the water pan.
    This pork shoulder was about 4 lbs. and smoked at a temperature of about 250 F for 9.5 hours.

    Good recipe, but don't waste your money on apple juice. Steam is steam. Apple juice does NOT make apple flavoured steam. It's the water in the apple juice that evaporates, nothing else.
