It's always fun and interesting when you are in NOLA. I got nervous when you were squeezing through those narrow corridors. whew. I wonder who was in that broken brick tomb? Also- I honestly don't know if any modern person could make that wrought iron today. It's so gorgeous.
@Teas.Louise gotta be small to squeeze thru there, lol. I'm not sure who's tomb that is. A lady off camera was talking to me about it she didn't wanna be on camera... was telling me a story behind it, and I forgot what she said.. this was filmed 3 months ago, hahaha. Yeah, the iron gates are probably very expensive today if you find someone to make.
I love NOLA, great food & cemeteries! I do wonder how they construct the Tom’s so close together, seems the builders would have trouble moving supplies & moving around. Great tour!
hello mate great seeing the views of new orleans cemetery and the mosuleum a lot of graves in this video go way back in time hope your doing well deadlyknot and by the looks in the back ground a storms approaching stay well and safe look forward to your next exploration.
I'm always in love with New Orleans sky line. They have one of the best cemeteries out there in America. I'm doing really good. How about yourself? Haha speaking of the weather. This was filmed back in June, 4 minutes after we got back in the car, the rain hit us hard. Thank you and hope to see you as well! Enjoy your day!
@@DeadlyKnot thanks mate yes im going ok and i thought you may had rain hitting your hard as the skies were very dark happy to hear you enjoy what you do specialy in new orleans here in brisbane australia we are coming into our hotter seasons look forward to seeing more of your explorations cheers my friend.
@@PeterMcginley77985621 I will say, i'm ready for the cooler weather... this heat in America is just too much. It did rain right after me and my friend Rick stepped into my car. Minutes later it stopped. Thank you and glad you had a chance to see this New Orleans cemetery thru this video.
I've been to New Orleans several times, but never had the chance to go to any of the cemeteries, and now those family members have moved from there, so I'll probably never get to go again.
They had it bricked because the horses and men used to put the coffin on the back of the wagon. The people would follow it and jazz bands would play. Well if it rains the muddy grass would make for a mess plus the horse poop. Now you can Just get a shovel and pick it up, so the people walking behind the coffin, they would get poop on their shoes.
Yeah, that one that she said was a different language that is unique I see that that person was a Reverend and they passed on October 30, 1892, So I see two different irreverent names, so I’m guessing those were two reverends😊 10:16
Have a great weekend everyone!
you too👍👍👋👋

They bury “above” ground due to how low they are to the sea level. During flooding, there were times people saw caskets floating down the road.

Orleans is the best! I use to live close by and would be down there every other weekend. Now I'm far from it :(
I mean, they’re alright… 😁 awesome vid dude!
Woahhhh. It's noladeej! Hiii
Been through some there....very somber. Still used by families. By the end of the year and day, the bodies are ash due to the heat it cooks.
Never dreamed of cemetery like this, very very different..
New orleans has style!
@@DeadlyKnot You said that right....
I’m obsessed with cemeteries in N.O. They’re so beautiful and so full of badass history!

That's interesting. I learned something new.
Sad some of those family mausoleums dont have perpetual care.
That blows.
That place is super tidy. I don’t think I even saw a weed.
I know right lol
