    For an easy way of describing getting behind of a potions effect; Think of the center as a light source and the effects as objects, you're gonna want to get in their shadow.

    Quick recommendation, @11:45 if you have a lvl 3 potion set, you can make the potion, and the rest of the path will not disappear, unlock the potion, then move forward to capture the experience books

    • @KillrobPlays

      Yes, very much the case! That is something I'm discussing in more detail and showing how to do effectively in general in the coming episodes :) indeed it is wise to always consider what could be done after the potion is "finished"

    I will post a part two next weekend i think, about more potions, on the outer rim.

    Why don't I see the compass above my inventory? It seems incredibly helpful and would love to have it. All I have is a way to sort by 4 different elements. I'm playing on Xbox gamepass if that makes a difference.

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  Год назад +1

      Ohh that is interesting! :o I don't know about the differences between the PC and console version, maybe that is a feature still missing from the version that you play? What you are describing is what was in the V0.5 beta version of the game.

    Hello there! May I ask if the ingredients are RNG or fixed after a fresh start?
    Since I keep starting with tutorial in game -for extra 12 gold-
    I saw you had Icefruit & Goblin Shroom which I didn't have each time I start the game, with tutorial

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  Год назад +2

      Yes, beyond the tutorial, the ingredients are RNG :) I think you do might have a a certain set of starting things growing in your garden when you start without tutorial (icefruit + mad mushroom) but then it is fully randomized. Cheers!

    I've got quite and oldish laptop which can still run Fallout 4 and GTA V (both around 15-20 fps which is fine for me.). I use it to develop software in VS 2021.
    Well, Potion Craft is nothing compared to Fallout 4, yet this evil piece of software crashes my laptop like I have never seen before. I literally need to hard restart my laptop 3 times before it comes to life again whenever I try to run this demonic program. What in actual phrack?
    The major problem, besides of course my oldish laptop, is that Potion Craft is developed in Unity. Apparently the people developing Potion Craft have a supercomputer with an infinite amount of the latest RAM, 1000's of the latest CPU's in parallel and 100's of GeForce RTX 4090's.
    They apparently fail to realize that Unity is unbelievably inefficient and ridiculously demanding for silly looking games like this. I can run Battlefield 4 (15 -20 FPS). But trying to make a Potion crashes my laptop completely and almost beyond repair.
    A shame because this game looks quite interesting. I would not be able to make something like the Unity platform, I am not good enough for that. But it does seem that the developers of Unity should be able to make it a lot less demanding for silly programs that mix potions?

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  Год назад

      Unfortunately that does sound like a hardware issue and is not the fault of the game. The symptoms you are describing are temperature related - your laptop has a safety switch-off for overheating and will only properly turn back on when the temperature has reached safe levels again. It could be the GPU, but the symptoms also could mean it is the CPU. So to "fix the game", you need to clean your laptop on the inside, and maybe have to refresh the thermal paste between cooler and CPU / GPU depending on what setup you have. :P

    • @ericvosselmans5657
      @ericvosselmans5657 Год назад +1

      @@KillrobPlays Thanks for your kind reply! I was kind of tongue-in-cheek , and your right of course, my 'rig' is the problem. Besides dirty on the inside, it jusn't is powerful enough anymore, no amount of cleaning is going to solve that I am afraid.
      .
      This does look like a simple but great game, so it's going to be cleaning or upgrading.
      Weirdly, I can still play quite a lot of decent 3d fps and rpg games (not the latest), but almost anything made in Unity is a no-go these days.

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  Год назад

      Interesting that Unity games tend to take more of a toll on your system :) maybe they are more CPU heavy (where the overheating problem may lie?).
      One thing we've noticed with Automation (running UE4) is that faster paced 3D games get away with a lot more shit, actually having worse graphics (that look better) than more static games. To the GPU a frame is a frame, and a draw call is a draw call. With things heavily in motion you need less fidelity to make it look good, but when it is static and maybe even simpler looking, it might not actually be less resource intensive. :)
      Cheers!

      @AlexandralessthanIII Год назад +1

      @@ericvosselmans5657 The problem is also the code of the game. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game and I do enjoy playing it. My laptop can run several different heavy games, but lags sometimes while playing this. It's a badly made game. Ofc, your PC might need an upgrade but a game like this shouldn't be heavier than Fallout 4.

    • @ericvosselmans5657
      @ericvosselmans5657 Год назад

      @@AlexandralessthanIII Yes, I got that impression. It's partly Unity, which almost always gives me problems , partly of course my laptop, but mostly very inefficient and resource-hungry code. I always have problems with Unity, but this game is by far the worst.
