Amen. I love both versions depending on mood. Both really bloody cool. This version perfectly captures "if a 90s rock band covered Love My Way". Half step tuning and great mixing for a live gig! This is a rare occassion where I grew up with the original version and then heard the cover afterwards... yet I think they both sound amazing in their own unique way.
Highly underrated track. Bought this on the freaks single CD. So that was Freaks..Lakinis juice ..and this.. Went through 6 months blasting it through every crevice in the house!! Time well spent.
I think it was a bonus track on Secret Samadhi & they performed it on the that tour from what I've read & sadly i missed that tour - Freaks is one of my fave! I did see them Distance to Here tour which was amazing.
It was released as a B-side on the Freaks Single. I'm not sure exactly when this performance took place, but it's too late to have been possible to include it on Throwing Copper even if they wanted to.
This wasn't performed in 1994 at the Bottle and Cork. It was recorded in 1997 during Live's tour for Secret Samadhi. It appears on the CD single for "Freaks".
That's interesting you say that because it certainly sounds more like a Secret Samadhi song. I know it's a cover and all but it just matches that tone and way of playing that was +Live+ around Secret Samadhi.
Cool cover and grateful I got to hear this in concert more than once. They also do a great cover of "I Walk The Line". Such a shame Ed and the band had a rift and split up. They would have been gold for many years together.
BTW, for anyone who is curious, they were superb this past Saturday night. Played all their 'major' songs with the inclusion "I Walk The Line" and a tribute to Chris Cornell covering Soundgarden's "I Am The Highway" that sounded real good. Seems they're pretty much just doing festival shows for the Summer at this point, so check out if they'll be in your area.
Once Ed Kowalczyk pulls the rights out of Chad Taylor's sticky fingers, I'm sure it'll find it's way onto the "Anniversary Edition" of Secret Samadhi, along with Cheetah, Mallrat, and Photograph.
@@211tfahey There's more drama going on, and Ed recently announced that he purchased all legalities for Live, meaning he's in complete ownership of the band. And because of Chad Taylor's poor management, Ed, Chad Gracey, and Patrick Dahlheimer all agreed in unison to fire Chad from the band. Needless to say, Zak Loy is replacing Chad Taylor from here on out, and everything released by Live will be under Ed's discretion. And mind you, Ed loves his fans, so good things will happen now.
I searched "Love My Way Live"... I didn't mean literally by the band Live, but glad I clicked this is fantastic.
same
Not many covers beat the original. This one kicks its ass!!! Love it.
It is good but lacks melodic percussion...

Was lucky enough to see these wonderful guys 3 times in the 90s. My absolute favorite.
Great version
Terrific cover, adore it.
A Grunge Cover of a New Wave Classic, it doesn't get any better than this
Highly underrated track.

It's a cover of Psychedelic Furs
@@PeteNThat True. And I like what was done with it better.

Love this version! 🥰😍
This should've been on Throwing Copper and released as a Single
It's a cover of The Psychedelic Furs song from the 80's
@@punkrockpianoprincess262 I know that, but this should've been an extra track
This and "Hold me up" but still one of my all-time favorite albums
This was a bonus track on Secret Samadhi cd release in New Zealand.

That's my man 💪 in dreams if only I was not with another
Very grateful I was able to see them in concert when they were still together.
Lucky.
Pennsylvania REPRESENT!!!
one of my fav covers, from my fav band, love it
GREAT rendition! Love the power in the chorus...and the song in its essence.
Better than the original version. It's a shame it never got the play time it deserved...
Damn right ✅you do.
Chad is such a great drummer.
I think he's a better guitarist :-P
Classy cover. Live are all class, eh

Anyone know if this is purchasable or on any extended album release or possible to ask Pandora to add it?
It was released as a B-Side on the single for Freaks. Pretty hard to find nowadays.

Lol I wasn't aware it was a "sticky situation". Aren't they back together and getting along?

Simple: you must use a vir 2 mp3 coverter. Or...looking for this version on streaming platforms
cover versiyonu orjinalinden daha başarılı olmuş. bizde boynuz kulağı geçmiş denir.
HORRIBLE VERSION. WORST OF ALL TIME!!!!
I love Live, but I don't love this.
