I love how she says Occupy "began on Wall Street and is spreading to other major *markets*."
For the 2008 tax year, the numbers pertaining to federal personal income taxes paid are as follows:
Top 1% pay 38% of federal personal income taxes
Top 5% pay 58.72%
Top 10% pay 69.94%
Top 25% pay 86.34%
Top 50% pay 97.3%
Bottom 50% pay 2.7% of federal personal income taxes. This number has been decreasing each year.
When presented with these facts, do you still beleive that the rich do not pay their fair share of taxes?
What do you think Eddy Grant meant when he sang; "We gotta walk on to Electric Avenue" and then we'll take it higher? Who is to blame and what country, never can get to the one! Dealing in multiplications, and they still can't feed everyone! This should be the rallying cry for the movement!

@CraftyMiscreant because it's hard to differentiate between "a new socioeconomic model based upon technically responsible Resource Management, Allocation and Distribution through what would be considered The Scientific Method" and a command and control centralized economy, ie. communism.
It didn't start in NYC. ADBUSTER started it by publishing from Vancouver.
Occupy Vancouver has already started. Cops are all over the place lol. I haven't seen this many cops around since the Vancouver canucks riot. And this protest is peaceful in nature.

Sorry if my comment have create impression that i support elite.
I don't support elite, but i have criticism toward occupy movement.
All proposal that make Occupy movement is trying to fix monetary system and it's extensions like politics, legal system, when then the system it self is flaw in his root.
System it self creates 1%, NOT 1% create it self.
We ALL are VICTIMS of system, system create problems (stratification, crime), not people. People isn't problem, system is.
@Really2013 It is not about killing off the dumb and weak..... it's about finding cures and lifting people up. Read a book instead of speaking out of ignorance and fear. I suggest reading "The best money can't buy".

How you proposing to achieve these solutions, for example:

That action must be taken to achieve this?
We are 100%, where is no 99%, we all are responsible that is happening.
Ask your self if you are 99%, how this will happen that 1% owing 40%?
