I feel like the way that the song is constructed, the fact that it sounds empty gives room to hear the vocal melodies they do which adds on to the haunting factor. It kinda gives me the same feeling as ditto by newjeans, it’s kinda like a nostalgia factor associated with it as well.

They uploaded the BTS of their first album's recording, in it you can see that the members, specifically Yunah,get told that they have to sing in a less strong manner, that their voice is too strong. idk why they do it, but I guess it's just how they want it to be, soft, sweet and nostalgic
