as a diehard 800 user I am going for the 900 due to the ability to make it small enough to fit in the saddle bag of my bike. Also having a new warranty and the upgrade on water proofing is a plus . looks like the only other thing you need is a TubeTubb. Thanks for the vid.

Nice video and I'm considering buying a 900. But why are there no videos of it being used UNDER water. Completely submerged? That's important to me as I live on a lake.

The 900 is a great upgrade for 800 users. Actually, I am finding that the new SMF Xterra Elite Expedition Pack is a also a great value upgrade for 600/800 users, especially for waterproof issues / leaking that the 600/800 experienced.

The battery life sucks on the 900. Dies so much faster then the 800, not sure how you say it’s know different then the 800? I ordered another battery and it makes know different. I don’t use vibration and the screen light know different then I did with the 800.

Hi buddy ... My experience has been as i said, a 4 hour session at the beach leaves me with the same percent and recharge time {not that ive stop watched it!} as my 800 , im not sure why your unit maybe acting different to mine ? has the weather been cold in long island {im assuming this is long island ny state usa?} charging via a hi output charger ? the batterys dont really like low amp chargers . im suprised you where able to order another battery , as far as im aware they are not available yet , what did the battery cost? part number ? hopefully you returned the unit to minelab as if you did this yourself you may reduce the units water depth rating and/ or warranty . anyway if i can help in anyway let me know cheers B

I have been able to go to the beach and get at least 11 hours on 1 charge. Battery is perfectly sufficient. I've had multiple 9 hour hunts and still had plenty of Battery left

Hi Joe, the screen will only be red when you turn the screen backlight on.

Is it true that software updates for the 900 have ended, its all about the manticore now , updates for the ctx was ended 7 years ago, I'm getting pee off with minelabs, they don't even make coils for the sovereign,s, any longer , how much battery life do you get with the 900 while using wireless must drain the battery an owfull lot
