Hope the rider who went down isn’t suffering too badly. Can’t wait for Saturday’s stage, looking forward to getting out into the Gloucestershire countryside to cheer the riders on.
@@PaulFoye I think he hit the ground hard with everything, they were going pretty full gas it seemed when it happened, did you see the other DSM rider as well? How he didn't come down at the same time.
@jackhills2713 I'll be there, heading over to Avening for about 12.30pm first to watch them head up Tetbury Hill and then going to high-tail it over to Uley to watch them get up Crawley or possibly across to Selsley to watch the descent past the Bell which will be a bit hairy I reckon.
@@RobinMWaiteyea! Eagled eyed there, didn’t spot that, as I was honed into the crash.. How the DSM rider didn’t pedal strike! 😮 That angle was 45deg. I’m ordering those tyres his using lol
@@RobinMWaitehaha, was just about to say, might actually see an improvement in the roads round here! Will be up at Chedworth this Saturday watching them go up
Was at the Great Orm a couple of years ago, also spent all week watching great racing in Glasgow and Stirling at the world's. Went to watch the start and finish on Sunday but I'm sorry to say with the race profile being so flat and predictable I don't have much interest until the Welsh stage.
Olav Kooij looks like he bears at least some of the blame for the DSM rider's crash, Kooij seemed to dip the shoulder and move right which forced him onto the kerb
Gaviria not wearing gloves, I never can understand why so many (VDP) today race without... We never did ! By the way : THIS COURSE IS NOT PROPERLY SECURED, THERE ARE PARKED CARS, ROAD WORKS, NO PROTECTION FOR THE RIDERS, A DISGRACE
There were roadworks in the Tour de France. At least the road wasn’t full of drunk fat men trying to outrun them and getting in the way with silly placards.
I've watched every Tour of Britain since 2013 but i must say this is the most boring so far i will keep watching hoping it will improve but i cant see it improving much with so many uneventful flat stages.
Dangerous unfair course First blind righthander directly into road furniture Later left w dust and gravel on fringe of road, causing x hard crash Riders union does zero in our sport
Rest dayat the Vuelta, there fore with more attention on the race. Boring flat stage.... After the cancellation debacle last year, the ToB is not covering itself in glory....
Sadly this race is utterly ruined by the inconsiderate amateur cyclists that turn up to watch. They leave tons of litter and use the road like a race track when it is re-opened to the public. Amateur cyclist should remember there are other road users and it is not an amateur cycle race track. If you want this banned your going about it the right way.
Van Aert going so fast in his leadout that Van Poppel just couldn't hold the wheel. What a madman
That was such an entertaining thing to watch!
Incredible save by the DSM rider at 3:43, covered the whole road!
At that speed, a save like that is unimaginable for me!
i just noticed that holy hell, if he didn't keep that fling going to the right in check, he might have crashed straight into the brick fence there
Won’t Van Aert leads out his sprinter, still gets podium for 2nd day in a row. Amazing.

Hope they did a full health check! Looks like he hit the ground hard with his head 😢

Me too….gonna get myself to Crawley Hill to get a good view!

3:40 Not so often we get to hear the sound of a crash.
It’s always sunny in Wrexham & the sun certainly beamed down on the cyclists today a fantastic race in front of a good crowd well done Wrexham
A reminder to wear gloves people.
Too late. I already got a real reminder two weeks ago.
That guy could have used an ejection seat.
Tour de no potholes ! Loads of new tarmac on all new routes!
You wait until they reach Gloucestershire!!!
I live in Wrexham and I can assure you that the route passed plenty of potholes

Go champs go for it never stop believe in, fans from home are pushing pedals next to you riders ❤

What happens with Bora's final leadout ?
Carlos Rodriguez has to be a fan of Primoz Roglic, with the amount of crashes he has had this year.
and G Thomas also...
Full speed crashed was nasty.. hope the rider is okay..

Fantastic weather for the race, shame about the boring, flat route.

'touching the shoulder' of Kooij? What you really mean Matt, is 'Kooij knocked him off, clearly'. There's no limit to the dirty riding of Jumbo.
except you dont have any other examples

Tour of Britain? Hardly 🏴
ToB was there last year & you just had World's no?
@@liam_c27 sorry, forgot it wasn’t in England at all last year, oh, hang on…
Clue is in the name 😉
It's great to have commentary, but jeez, it needs to be more enthusiastic & catching, than this guy.

This is not the Tour of Britain. It s in fact the Tour of England
Wrexham is in Wales
The finish is in Wales as is this stage.
OK. The Tour of England and Wales then.
The world championships didn’t visit every country in the world did they? Just Scotland
That doesn't make any sense. It's a different competition. All countries of the world can be invited to take part in the world championships.
