Great film. I once crossed the restricted area during a live exercise - the sentry said I had 30 minutes to get across during a pause in the firing - I thought that was plenty and went for it. Got a front blow-out at the bottom of the first hill, never changed a tube so quickly in my life.
Allen Bordoley. Beautifully filmed and the haunting beauty of Cape Wrath and the Sea. The background music was just right. It captured everything about being in wild country and in canoeing. .
I think Kirk should share some of his camera tricks? a Go-pro on a stick rattles to much. I was hooked throughout thank's so much for sharing it Ritchie from Northumberland
Was a great work but such a shame that the community of people who commented were treated with such contempt. No interaction with their very tribe ! Love your work though.
@@plusbonus1165 Apologies for that. I haven't looked at this for years and I don't get notifications when a comment is posted. apart from this one as you replied to me:) Glad you enjoyed it though:)
Excellent Adventure! Thanks for the effort to create this!! My friends and I typically mountain bike down the west highland way each year, north to south these day.. Since seeing this we had this great idea to get our rafts sent to Inversnaid Hotel and then when we get there by bikes, inflate them and paddle them to Balmaha down Loch Lomond to finish the ride into Milngavie.. Are we over-simplifying anything? :) You guys made it look so seamless! :)
you guys are awesome!! I'm taking my girlfriend on her first camping trip this weekend to wales. Will hopefully get her comfortable idea of pack-rafting camping and these fatbikes at some point.. Dreaming about it!! Thanks for the video.. looks like you've fused so many things perfectly.. Credit to your camera guy.. Love that last shot with the three of you paddling.. I was thinking the whole way through - how the hell did they get that shot? to think it was all done with the three of you.. very impressive. Imagined a crew of around ten at least..
Nice vid, bit too much product placement/ company logo shots, but if they let you try their stuff for a bit of advertising, in exchange for getting to do stuff like this, I can see how you'd go for it, most people who'd be watching stuff like this would know what gear you're using from already liking it, wanting it when funds allow, etc, the locations and scenery come across as the main star of the show :-)
Nice video. Beautiful scenery. What model Alpacka rafts are these? What bikes are you using and wheel size? I’m wondering how big the wheels and tyres can be to avoid paddle strike and to not block too much vision.
brilliant video and footage thanx so much for sharing..im gagging to get my arse on my fatbike.. as built 2 last year to sell one to pay for both,,and it worked..just curious what drone was used?
Love this! Packrafting timing the tides, fast fatbiking downhill along epic cliffs, and epic commentary, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed!
Your photographer is exceptional. This was great

Absolutely phenomenal filming, spectacular music choice, makes me wanna get out there and feel the wind and the rain.

hi, great video, just wondering which packraft you guys are using?
Backcountry.scot I found your website and dropped you an email about hire? cheers. Matt
cool who's doing the camera work for u
This comment is years old but was myself hahaha
Kirk Watson you must be bored to check all comments lol
Whats the best pack raft for river/loch crossings im 12 stone and usually have about 55lb of gear.
Backcountry.scot I think it would edge towards more exploring the waterways. I come for a look next time im up there try some out.
Thanks.
The 55lb is probably the first thing to sort out buddy. Wouldn't mind one of them pack rafts myself tho
