Cocoon would reset the planet after each cycle looking for a suitable race to “Embrace”. The civilization of Luoxing was destroyed over a billion years ago after who knows how many cycles and all that was left was a simulation. Purusha was destroyed over 250 Million years ago by Cocoon after who knows how many cycles and all that was left was Sa and uploaded minds of their people, eventually one of the minds known as Marah would take the Cleaners, which would become known as the Sky People/Ones Above which would terrorize the cosmos for Millions of years. Earth would succeed where the other planets failed thanks to impossible circumstances. This is the plot of Part 1 of Honkai Impact 3rd. The Hoyoverse Games take place in one Cosmology known as the Hoyoverse which is made of two dimensions known as the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta. The setting of Star Rail is a series of worlds (not Planets, think of worlds as branches of space time on the Tree which are generally the size of a solar system) connected by the Paths and the Star Rails. Earth is not connected to the Star Rails and only recently as of part 2 did the Paths, Elation and Remembrance, reach the Solar System of Earth.
