Monster guide because I have nothing to do! It MIGHT be bad, so take it with salt grains. Crawler: this…whatever it is…it spawns during day and night. It’s best to stay near the entrance so you don’t get caught away from the cabin, AKA the possible death zone, especially if you haven’t been attacked by this in some time. You know it’s here via its ambient noise, AKA a violin. Get in the cabin if you know the Crawler is on the farm. Shadow Pumpkin: If the three candles near the bed go out, it’ll pop up. The longer it stays, the slower you get. Get out before all candles go out, or time your hiding so you don’t get trapped with two threats on the inside and outside. Wendeergo: Apparently that’s the deer monster’s name. It’ll disguise as a normal deer, although the monster ALWAYS follows you. Keep moving,and be careful when it’s night. Its other variant, the Albino Wendeergo, has a less believable disguise form, at the pro or not having a set path TO YOU. As such, you have to be VERY careful, especially during night, as this thing wanders around the place, and has a larger activation radius. CLOWNS: The clowns always spawn once during the nights. When you hear the tune, follow it. Get the balloon from the happy clown, and follow the somber tune to the sad clown and give him the balloon. Miss the happy clown *or* take too long to give the sad clown a balloon, and you might as well just accept fate. Well Monster: It’s just there to make you find another pair of pants. Octopi: This thing is near the docks. Just STAY. AWAY. FROM. BUBBLES. This thing tries to surprise attack, and if you go near the bubbles, it WILL try to attack. If you need to, juke its attack.
From these videos I've seen, Nightmare mode is truly difficult and frustrating to beat. Great job for beating it! I think I'll stick to normal mode, at least for now. 😅
Great job, I haven’t been able to make it past the first night. Edit: I finally did it yesterday!! I was honestly so pumped so it thought I would share. You definitely need the bat to make it through the nights, and you need to learn the Crawlers timing, but when you have those down it’s not too difficult. Took me probably 20 tries in total, don’t give up!
It took hours but I managed to finish it last night, felt borderline impossible, and now im trying to do it in under 35 minutes for the achievement and it sucks asssss
Henry the Crow gives you coins, Puddles the Frog helps you hold more water, don’t know about the others, but I think the bat would let you hear the warning sound (you don’t in nightmare) and the possum would help you see better. Their names are Squeaky and Peanut Edit: never mind, the bat echolocates when something is near, allowing you to see a purple glow around it and the possum makes you faster, making it easier to evade the crawler.
The only tip I can give you is to have a timer set for 1 minute and 30 seconds. From my experience the monster spawns between every 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes and 20 seconds. Just pick a time and wait by the house when it runs out.
why do you not buy the higher seeds like, WAY sooner? The gain from buying those seeds outweigh the benefits from upgrading seed value way better than sticking to tier 2 stuff for as long as you did (I would think, I haven't put the time/cost on a spreadsheet yet)
You are probably right, I should have done that sooner. I have no idea why I didn't do that, probably was too nervous about potentially loosing a good run to think about it.
You can get the rat by catching it once it spawns during the day on nightmare mode and you can get the bat by following it around during a night of nightmare mode.

You can catch the bat by finding it in 5 different locations during a single night of nightmare mode, hope it helps.

The bat warns you if they are close. Upgrade the lantern if you don’t have the bat unlocked
