So for the Magic Attack tactics, you can move it up and put "Armored Enemies Present" and only target Armored. That way you won't have to micromanage it by activating it and deactivating it.
This is cool. But man did you use a lot of your best toys in 1 unit (2x Sniper Amber Lens, Gilbert). When I play I try and not to swap equips around and have each team operate well their own without taking equipment from other teams. You used a lot of oomph to make this work.
Yeah, you could probably build a team of all the worst units in the game and make them good enough to win fights if you put all the best items on them.
So my favorite Fencer team is fencer/doom knight up front with were owl. Fencer can protect owl somewhat with sylphic barrier, but the whole point is Evasion Impetus and Doom pact combined with Owls Restore and just keep going and going and going and going and going all day
Im def giving this a try. For my fencers I forged Phanton knights swords to hit 25 magic attack for Natures wrath nukes comboed with a familiars choker unit. It was expensive sure but fun af
actually kingsblade cornix gets you 35 atk (30 phys and 5 mag) so it has that over runic blade. great discussion on elven fencer here. Used to be down on them as a striker/nuker but i'm glad to see their row nukes doing well with proper optimization. would you say their phys + mag row nukes are better than the warrior's row smash vs. high def enemies? nice to see elven fencers doing double duty here as both evade tank and nuker. Personally, i'd turn on pure field (your initiative looks good enough without needing rapid order to go 1st) so that you dont need to do any equipment swapping to counter featherbows and the like. I also wouldnt bother with icicle/wind arrow and just use the elven fencer's AP on casting mystic conferral on the elven fencers. And since your virginia is doing nothing, replacing her with something else either for tanking or mobility purposes like a sainted knight is the better call.
So what I got from this; It can work, but they need an absurd amount of investment. The kind of investment that would make a less niche unit even *more* viable. The natural cycle of meta discussion lives on!
Nice but this is quite a niche built and also pretty close to late game then can assemble it. I just wish there is more weapons made for Elven in mind.
Me too. You get bad options. All the magical weapons are weak and the Physical weapons scale badly with Elven stats. Phantom Sword, Phantom bow help but they need a special line of weapons.
@almostontimehero5415 I don't really meant the weapons available for them are weak but for example, the great wood sword comes with 3 magical defense and spell steel sword is just slightly higher and only the runic sword comes with a skill and plus 3 magic defense. Even I upgrade them all the damage would be 10/20 which will make Runic sword the best. I do prefer more option in those weapons especially in better stats or skills.
Definitely going to make an iteration of this build for my elven fencer. I wish there were more methods besides row/board nukes to clear though. I really want to find a poison team comp with Dinah some viper weapons and pestilent staff (hopefully it doesn't suck but probably does)
board, row and great knight column nukes are simply the most efficient offense in the game. DOT and single-target is really just inferior. Dinah imo is best used as an evade tank while leveraging her shadow pursuit as inflicting blind is solid defensive strat.
Dinah, Thieves and Shaman poison works. Shaman poisons Rows, Thieves do extra damage on poisoned targets and Werefoxes have Follow Ups + Guard Seal. Problem is that you need the right items and weapons which can be found End Game.
@@kingofthejungle5338 i think in that situation its more about the lightning shaker doing work than the poison ticking which defeats the purpose. Just like ICG touting his angel sword dmg but when you look at the setup its really the gryphon master doing the work. This is a game where AOE is king. Bottomline, dmg now to multiples enemies>dmg later.
The mining in Albion has 10 maps, the 5 regular treasure maps then a map 6 for each region. That bow is one of those ones, I think it's the Bastorias Map 6 treasure.
I also have two in my run. If I remember If I remember either an enemy boss drop it, its in arena/divine shop, black market or a recrut come with it. (Which is the most plausoble theory)
You got to be kidding... you can replace two fencers with elf augur, and do ZERO faeries Elemental Roar turn 1 with no setup, just amber lens and gambler's coin, it still does more damage... The fully setup turn 1 elemental roar build is easily 200% more damage, to put into perspective how joke of a build this is, also it costs you all the amber lens/amethyst you have. Seriously, you can really do something better bro...
You are missing the point of these videos. I have made guides on the build you are describing and I am arguably one of the first streamers/YTers covering such builds as well as pushing board nuke meta. The point of these videos is to theory craft effective builds for other classes. Sure the best units in the game are the best units in the game, but Fencer can effectively kill despite some claiming their damage is bad. If a squad kills most to all enemy squads while taking little to no damage, it is a good build.
@@IcedCoffeeGaming That's not an effective build is exactly what I say. I list augur just as an example because it does mixed damage so is close in comparison. The point is you spend 2 amber lens/amethyst, and doing a generic amber lens + gambler's coin combo that's literally working for any dps' any aoe attack skill. It's such a low effort build that amount to nothing, and cost you 2 amber lens in the process. Say rogue also has a row attack, are you going to make 2 rogues doing amber lens + gambler's coin and call it a good build for rogue class? The build you make, Fencer is not the best user of it, and it also doesn't maximize or even show the uniqueness of Fencer. It's a no-point low effort generic build. My point is not about elemental roar.
It objectively is an effective build. It clears TZ content easily. There are MORE EFFECTIVE things that cost fewer resources, but you can't deny that this works as I proved it did. You don't need amethyst, I mention this in the video. The build literally doesn't need it at all and those are optional slots. Amber lens could be replaced with sniper lens + damage buffs, or running a druid to row debuff the front. You could also just run 1 fencer and Impetus it to row nuke front/back and now we have gone from 2 amber lens to 0-1 with the same result. Unfortunately this game is incredibly easy on TZ and almost anything will stomp content, pretending like effective builds are bad because MORE EFFECTIVE builds exist is a strange way to view the game. The difference between 2x row nuking before enemies do anything and board nuking enemies before they do anything is a matter of overkill rather than meeting breakpoints. In either scenario the enemy squad dies and returns little damage as a result. The uniquness of fencer is hybrid attacks, it has evade gimmick if the enemy is allowed to attack back, cleanse, can use tomes etc I covered it already in other team comps/guides. I am assuming you haven't seen those and are strawmanning this video as a fencer guide, which is is not.
He made the video because people were saying fencers were weak and bad. That's the point of the video to show if you make the correct team, they're GOOD.
You're slightly confused about Magic and Physical stats. All classes use either Highest Attack stat, not both. Physical or Magical. Weapons whether Physical or Magical have Potency Scaling, meaning the will do 50%, 75%, 100% and so on of your main attack stat Physical/Magical. All Elven classes have higher Magical attack over Physical.
no. just....no. this is 100% completely and absolutely wrong. attacks are based entirely on what potency they are checking, regardless of stats, if the attack is phys potency, its physical damage, even if the character has 9000 mag attack, Physical potency (only) is a physical attack. dual potency attacks, like most elven and also all Conferrals ( the tomes, the archer and witch) add additional magic potency either based on the caster of conferral or on the elves other stat. you are absolutely completely entirely 100000% wrong about what you stated.
Two back to back team comp showcase videos, absolutely killing it.
So for the Magic Attack tactics, you can move it up and put "Armored Enemies Present" and only target Armored. That way you won't have to micromanage it by activating it and deactivating it.

I really wanted to see you fighting those squads that you couldnt beat
You just need to adjust the team/menu max them as with most negative matchups

A man a culture I see.🧐 awesome video, I wanted to use the fencers more
Whats the growth types on the elven fencers?
Sorry I guess I wasn't listening very well after a re-watch I saw it

The Quince Bow you have, I've played through the game completely 3 times and have never found it. Where is it located or what did I miss?
Treasure map 6 I think. Once u done all 1 to 5 treasure maps. Albion will offer treasure maps 6
I did not know that. Thank you.
So what I got from this; It can work, but they need an absurd amount of investment.

im trying this build out and i added a defence based great knight to replace mid front. and is working very well
Nice but this is quite a niche built and also pretty close to late game then can assemble it. I just wish there is more weapons made for Elven in mind.
aside from whats mentioned in the vid, theres also the greatwood stuff that you can forge later on.
@TheRobversion1 yeah I know. I said I wish there was more weapons made for them. There overall 3 weapons that have both physical and magical.

Tried this too but the returns werent worth it. Kept Fencers as buffers and support.
Is there any other way to buff dmg to an entire line? For exemple if you use Gilbert in another squad?
Definitely going to make an iteration of this build for my elven fencer.
I wish there were more methods besides row/board nukes to clear though. I really want to find a poison team comp with Dinah some viper weapons and pestilent staff (hopefully it doesn't suck but probably does)
Same. The issue is that dot damage just doesn't get prompted enough. It only really works if you can poison first on enemy units with a lot of actions
board, row and great knight column nukes are simply the most efficient offense in the game. DOT and single-target is really just inferior.

Dinah, Thieves and Shaman poison works. Shaman poisons Rows, Thieves do extra damage on poisoned targets and Werefoxes have Follow Ups + Guard Seal. Problem is that you need the right items and weapons which can be found End Game.
maybe if you get a poison comp going and throw a spear unit with a silver trident (i think?) for row stuns it might work

Wait a minute. Where'd you get the second amber lens? I swear I checked all the shops and only found one in furry land.

In Albion, Greige Town sells a second Sniper Amber Lens.
@@BaneGaiety4848 AH tyty. I'm blind
How did you recruit a light elf fencer? All of the ones that I have seen have been dark elf fencers.
When hiring mercenaries, you can select the aesthetics you want in the options
It's unfortunate this takes Amethyst Pendant to work out, even though it seems extremely consistent as far as I can tell.
good but 5 glads better
