Yes, thank you! I'm the type of person who has little to no common sense, so I need these things pointed out to me. Thanks for helping me avoid disaster!
Very nice aesthetically! One thing to boost its functionality would be a Redstone lamp display with comparators as an indicator for when the cauldrons are full. I've never really been good at combining form with function or keeping things as compact as possible, so the lamp-displays that I usually set up mean that the cauldrons have to have a 1 block space between them, making the farm way bigger than it has to be. Most would probably just go without the display because you can just go up to check if it's done, and the lava itself gives off light so you might spot it anyway if it's dark in your world. I mainly have it because I'm forgetful and I like to collect the lava as soon as it's done feeding into the cauldron so that I can build up a reserve of fuel as quickly as possible. I suppose what could be a middle-ground solution would be to have one lamp for all of the cauldrons: i.e. you'd have comparators feeding out of each cauldron and into one Redstone lamp either up on the roof of the build or nearby. But that would mean having a three-block space between the rows of cauldrons. Eh, next time I make one of these in survival I'll just have the lava farm in a dedicated smelting-room (or forge) in the base - maybe in a ring around the room with a big oven in the middle made up of mini blast-furnaces, that could look cool.
I feel like I can hear you think through your writing. It's interesting and your idea for the mini oven is cool! Feel free to share your build in the discord!
I remember My lava farm was with orange Crystal blocks on roof to see The lava flowing to de corners. Then it burned all my house next to the building hahaha. Love your desings and block combinations 🧱
Hey Nuvola, it's built on one of my island's. It's bigger than I realized, should standout nicely at night. As soon as I get a pathway drained will build your pickle farm. Thanks for the video you have a wonderful day!
Love making my world look a little better w/ builds like this, and a huge thanks for having the material list in the description!!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been following along a build only to find out that they’ve given the wrong material count💀
@@nuvolamc sweet, regardless though the build was amazing and I put it on me and my friends realm and it works perfectly! Also suuuuper easy to follow along w/ you while building
Had to fill in the empty blocks of the inside of the roof with random blocks (I used dirt) to keep the wood roof to keep from setting on fire - but I will continue to use this forever - Might swap out the roof for mud instead of wood but we will see!
Somehow it is not working for me, I used dripstone Block and a dripstone below, I can also see how the lava is dripping into the kettle but it is somehow not filling up. Anything I could have done wrong? Using a server on 1.20 Java
If you encase the lava completely can it still catch other blocks on fire nearby? Having trouble figuring this out online, and I don’t want to burn my house down.
Lava will burn wood blocks, so I highly recommend you use stone variant blocks. Otherwise, not really! Except for the dripstone. You will need those to drip the lava into your cauldrons.
@nuvolamc having done some extensive research while trying to automate my own lava farm design: it isn't possible. A dispenser cannot fill buckets from lava so it just throws them into it 😂
@@ettlinmartin9219 just replace them. I did replace mine once and jt works just fine now. I just dont know how it got caught on fire when the lava isnt touching anything
Yes, lava can burn wood blocks up to 3* blocks above the lava. This is something I learned after publishing this video. You can check the Wiki page for Lava and look at the Fire Spread section.
@@nuvolamc ahh its all fine i replaced wood from deepslate cobblestone stair and polished deepslate cobblestone and some leaves and it looks so good and thanks for your videos! i appreciate it
When he says you can use any variant of tile for the roof, he means any non-flammable variant.
Yes, did you find that out the hard way? 🙈
Lol

I changed it a little bit to add a smelting station to one end but looks very nice in our village

Nvm already ran out of 2 different materials.
Sorry about that. Still need to update some material lists. Will do in the next week or so. Finally got some time again.

Looks great and works effectively, ty so much for your effort!
Not only does this look good, but it uses a type of brick I never use but always want to… bricks.. I like it a lot.
really like the design
I was just collecting drip stone and cauldrons, and here I come across this beautiful build. Guess I'll also be collecting wood and stone🫣
F f f I was stupid enough to fall into the lava I'd placed... Byebye gear
Keep up the good work!

I think you can add in some copper blocks to make it cooler, then some vanes if interested
Thank you 😊
bedankt man
Perfect 👌
can you make a blaze farm i rlly need it thxx
That's definitely a challenge! I've put it on the idea list, thank you for the suggestion.
Hey, Awesome tutorial, but could you provide a short tour of the build before you start tutorials, please? Thank you!
In newer videos I do! :) thanks for the feedback, good idea.
is it necessary to use basalt block?
Nope! It's just for aesthetics 😉
If you place your fire place on top of a block of wheat, your smoke will go 3 times higher.
Doesn't seem to be working on my end on Realms, been sitting here for a half hour and no luck
Edit: nvmd It's just really really slow
Bruuhh which textured pack ara using in ur mc I liked ur patch...
Vanillatweaks
thanks man

I can take a while to fill up! If it's dripping, you should be good. Not sure if servers have different game rules though.
용암농장 필요했었는데 이거로 만들어야지
can i use an other block than the dripstone one
The pointed dripstone is a vital component of the farm. Surroubding the lava can be done with any block (wouldn't use wood though, as it will burn)
@@nuvolamc thx

If it's surrounded on all sides (not just up, down and the sides, but also the diagonal blocks) by blocks that cannot catch fire, you're good.
What resource pack do you use?
Vanillatweaks
does it have to be the exact blocks you place in the video?
Lava will burn wood blocks, so I highly recommend you use stone variant blocks. Otherwise, not really! Except for the dripstone. You will need those to drip the lava into your cauldrons.
what is your texture pack ? i love it
It's vanillatweaks and conplementary shaders. See video description ;)

Yes, it does!

you need basalt block or you can use other blocks
It's decorative, so not necessary
you dont need Dripstone Blocks for lava farm.

Yes!

There needs to be 1 block diagonally between the lava and the spruce. Mine doesn't burn down so maybe your dimensions are slightly off?
@@nuvolamc thank you it already worked. Plus I have a block diagonal like an T shape but with another line at the bottom.
does it work in pe?
Yes it should!
nice build! but out of curiosity, why is it you used basalt blocks?
Just decorative! It's stone formed by lava in reality so it feels fitting for this farm. 🙂

Klopt!
Why the lava doesn't drip
Is the problem still persisting?
no but it takes time to drip
