      PSA time. Dear everyone who ever writes a story from now on:
      *MORTIFIED MEANS EMBARRASSED.* It is not a fancy way of saying terrified. It means humiliated, it means ashamed, it means you're blushing--IT DOES NOT MEAN that you are afraid. You ruin the impact of your story when you say mortified but mean terrified.

Why isn’t he in jail after the first kidnap? How did he get in your room? You were sleeping and had no idea? ...... I call bs 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I usually hate people calling the stories fake but honestly I couldn't suspend my disbelief for the first story. If it's fake, which it definitely seems to be, then I'm also more upset than I'd be with phony paranormal stories. Faking a ghost encounter won't hurt anyone, but badly faking a kidnapping and child abuse story is another thing altogether

    • @Caroline-tb8eh
      @Caroline-tb8eh 4 года назад +11

      Well every paranormal story is fake but I don't like people not suspending their disbelief for totally normal plausible stories. I hated that first story, immediately once I heard it keep going on after the guy got caught I just knew it was going to end on a bad, obviously fake note.

The worst was about some high school kid's friend gets kidnapped for months and he plays private detective and "helps" the police catch the guy (who couldn't have done it without his help, of course) and rescue the girl...just absolutely ridiculous.

      I like how it exists in the same universe as Minority Report apparently, since the cops randomly calirvoyantly showed up out of nowhere without being called to find the guy under her bed. Story sounds like it was made up in 5 minutes by a 12 year old that usually only writes Harry Potter fanfic.

    • @bigladsubaru3523
      @bigladsubaru3523 5 лет назад +22

      @@sparrowcunningham7637 Yeah, the police chief? He's telekinetically connected to the girl and knows what's going on. Also, the cops just dropped the girl off at home after months of abuse, instead of, oh, I don't know, taking her to the *hospital*? And they either let the kidnapper go after a year, despite the abduction, child abuse, and almost definitely pedophiliac behavior charges, or he escaped prison and was on the run. This story is just so full of holes, it reads like a fourth-grade creative writing project.

    To the writer of the first story, it's not cool to write about a fake a kidnapping for attention. That is a serious ordeal that leaves actual victims traumatized for years, if they get out of it alive. I want to belive you, cause I don't think anyone is that stupid to lie about such a matter, but there was a lot that didn't make sense in your story. If it was fabricated, you really need to evaluate yourself.

    I have never said this before but the first story sounds completely fake to me. It was full of implausible things including getting under the bed. Right because that’s totally possible. There is no way after being arrested at the store the kidnapper wouldn’t go on trial and go to prison for many years. I know someone who was a victim of a attempted kidnapping and the story came off as an insult to people like him

    Yeah, this first story really doesn’t sound believable, there are so many points that make me doubt it, the main ones:
    1. why wasn’t the guy in jail if it was only a year (I think sorry) after she got rescued?
    2. Why wasn’t her mum more careful about letting her go out without parental supervision?
    3. She would have been really young, ten I think, (sorry if I did the math wrong), when she was abducted since she mentioned being twelve when he found her again. Why would he want her to be his wife at such a young age? (I know he might have been a pedofile but it just doesn’t make sence)
    4. Everyone deals with trauma in different ways, but wouldn’t she know to immediately get her friend to text someone and alert the police? She seemed too relaxed about it, even when she realised it was him on the bridge she didn’t say anything

      Robin_Ryo8901 Sunryo You know how many kidnappers and pedophiles face very little jail time? There are some convicted child rapists that go to jail for less than a year. It sounds insane but it happens quite often. And there are also plenty of full grown men that marry/try to marry girls as young as that on a daily basis. Don’t believe me? Look it up.

      #3 isn't that weird. Some people are sick fucks, child brides were a thing and still are a thing in certain parts of the world. Pedophiles in general are a dime a dozen.

    If the 4th story is true - (I mean the one starting at ~23:51) - then the lack of protection by law enforcement feels a lot like some sort of "retaliation" of the drug cops, who had "generously offered" her to become a bait (and/or target) for that guy, they allegedly wanted to catch for distributing drugs so desperately/aka "an informant" and she'd refused this out of understandable fear.
    Theoretically, I might be completely wrong atm, but their entire lack of interest to protect her, AFTER he'd broken into her house and left her a note (& AFTER that guy also got noticed and described by her mom and her husband) sounded a lot like it to me, tbh.
    Imo, they were basically taunting her, by stating, "he didn't sign the note" - as let's face it, nowadays there're lots of other forensic methods, they could've tried to prove, he'd been in her house that day - like e.g. an analysis of the note, search for DNA, finger-, hand- and shoe-prints, asking for his alibi and trying to disprove it, investigating the fire properly,... etc.
    She was already pretty traumatized from his stalking and very understandably didn't feel comfortable enough, to help them too actively against someone, they themselves had labelled as someone along the lines of a "dangerous career criminal", so they had left her and her husband, to fend on their own against that guy; and I feel, that's why so many people rightfully don't always/so often distrust the cops entirely...
    & Yes I'm aware, they're doing a great job in other cases, but they really sucked horribly in this one ... I can't even begin to imagine, what terrible things could've happened to her under all these circumstances - especially, if she'd have been alone on her own (without a mom and any man/bf/husband also trying to protect her) - moving was likely her only and best option, as by doing so, she'd also leave this bunch of twisted cops behind her...
    PS.
    The authorities' refusal, to inform her of his release from prison is proof for this to me - or this story isn't true/only partially true (Idk tbh) - as I'd have thought, they ALWAYS have to inform victims/people unwillingly involved into crimes, when the perp gets released; this might differ from state to state though and I'm certainly no expert here.

      @@rileyz2874 I went there in August of 2018 they have a channel now on cable TV and I found it interesting to watch it talked about complex matters of human emotions and behavior. So I thought it was cool I took some of their online courses and tried to figure out a way to contact them. They had a customer service team that emailed and called me so I was excited at the time cause I wanted to learn so much more. I got some material mailed to me a free DVD on Dianetics. Which is L. Ron Hubbard's concept on how grief and emotions affect the mind. I watched it found an email service on the website of the DVD. Was told someone would be available to pick me up on arrival there I met alot of Scientologists and thought they seemed like nice people. I entrusted them to help me get over the grief I experienced in my life. You are interrogated with their emeter when you first arrive rather like a lie detector test and you have to take an over 300 personality quiz. So I was put on volunteer to help out with their auditing session files. Then they harassed me into joining staff they were gonna open a new org as they called it and needed more workers for their new swanky five star hotel looking building that went into renovation in 2017 I believe. They talked and anticipate over this grand opening and while I was on staff at the old building they made me take all these stupid courses. And finally I realized i was not getting the emotional support I wanted or needed. So I bailed due to a counselor I had at the time that was Catholic. She had a cousin that was married into Scientology down in Hawaii and had to leave town. All her funds from her jewelry making were embezzled
      And then when I decided to leave after coming down with a cold after a photoshoot in the rain one week I realized as I was recovering they were showing up uninvited at my house, calling my phone texting me ridiculous amount of times mailing me letters, and this one guy had been trying to persuade me to go to New York to Join their Sea Org and he stalked me when I refused. This went on for three whole months. I kid you not. Long story but yes

    I'm gonna say that story #1 is fake.
    1. This man literally kidnaps a girl and then just takes her word that she'll stay put while he's in the bathroom? Either he was incredibly stupid or somehow so delusional that he thought the girl actually *wanted* to stay with him.
    2. So after the girl escapes, her mom just lets her and another ten-year-old girl walk, unsupervised and alone, to the gas station? Is she dumb?
    3. How did the police know to come in? I suppose a neighbor could have seen the man break in, but the fact that they live fifty yards away from a gas station makes me feel like their neighbors aren't too close.
    4. I don't really understand the whole swimming thing. Where were they swimming? Also, if they knew the man was in the area, why would they *go, alone, to a creek or pool where they are completely vulnerable?*
    5. Why was the kidnapper out of prison after a year?

    • @NoctemAeternusMusic
      @NoctemAeternusMusic 5 лет назад

      1. A lot of kidnapped people develop a bond with their kidnappers. Surely you have heard of stockholm syndrome? He most likely thought that she had become attached to him in that way.
      2. This was over a year after the incident and you cannot smother and shelter kids forever, especially one that’s been through something like that, otherwise you risk them never moving past it. They’ll become an adult that is too scared to ever leave their house or be alone.
      3. If he was on a house arrest kind of parole then he left the allowed area then police probably tracked the gps on his ankle bracelet.
      4. Yea, this part is dumb.
      5. Plenty of kidnappers/rapists/child molesters serve less than a year in prison. It’s disgusting and proves how fucked the court system can be but it happens quite a lot.
      To be clear, I don’t think the story is true but most of the points you brought up are easily explained.
