But then I realised the audience is different..None of the top IT crowd living in tier 1 cities will bother watching such interviews or even movies..People living in Kerala mostly see journalists who struggle to frame one sentence in English..eg:Mathu from Mathrubhumi..so they think very big of Supriya

Great interview, intellectually stimulating, to say the least. This is the first interview that I have ever seen of Supriya Menon & I would definitely watch more in the future, but you also need good interviewers like this

Yes... Cinema is the art form which can have the greatest impact in the society currently and of course there is business side to it... So where is the balance? Is it to the art form, impact on the society through the content it speaks, or to generate business or a balance in all these or do you see it from an entertainment perspective only..?.. This is the toughest challenge... I guess...

One word we can say about the articulation and her perception about the wide aspect of the tinsel world is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Being the better half of maverick prithvi, i hope, she leaves no stone unturned to explore the myriad avenues to satisfy the huge audience of prithviraj. What a mindboggling and an intellectual reply to all the queries. Interviewee outshone the interviewer and he might be well equiped than this to bring out more contemplation of Ms. Supria Menon. Expecting one more blockbuster after Aadujeevitham from prithvi.

Why is she being interviewed? I don't know what substantial contribution she has given to malayalam film industry. Just because she has got a powerful film personality backing her career, she could easily get media attention. Its told that she worked for BBC and has proved her mettle as a journalist. But nobody knew her untill she got married to prithviraj. Btwn, there are many great reporters and journalists working in BBC and nationals news arena who hardly get attention like this.

That’s the whole point of these interviews, she wants to be known as more than just her famous husband’s wife.. for some odd reason co-producing films and letting her work speak for itself just isn’t enough .. she wants to be out & about showing off her communication skills, explaining away how ambitious she is etc..

Yes exactly! If she was being interviewed bcs she is excelling in her journalism or is doing smthn without the support from her famous husband, one could understand the gravity nd purpose of taking her interviews. I'm not telling she shouldn't do what she is doing now. That's her business. But, the media celebrates her as though she has done stupendous array of films. How many independent new comers get such sort of attention? All these interviews only show its shallowness at volume.

@@daredevilmcu Gold was actually a really good entertainer with a strong plot and without cringe or unnecessary mass/masala filth, much more enjoyable than Premam. The unreal hype killed that movie.
Inflated self-opinion. Curious to know how long she worked as a reporter. Online sources say 4 years for BBC (only) and she has no Wiki page of her own. Would love to know more about the actual career of Ms Menon. Seems like Vishal has done more interviews than Ms Menon. Her biggest curse is the arrogant vibe, which can't be relabeled as assertive, independent or intelligent. Humble opinion.

At this point I’m convinced this is all PR stunt.. this woman needs the spotlight to shine on her from time to time to prove she’s doing as much work as her husband or even the other family members of Prithvi.
she comes across as a very insecure person, with a huge ego! The first time I felt that was when her mother in law said in an interview that Supriya is not as jovial and friendly as Poornima (her other daughter in law) is.. soon after, Supriya’s interview with Malayala Manorama came out, where she touched upon the very statement her MIL made.. I knew right then, the interview was set up to clarify some of the assumptions or misconceptions people had about her..later, more such interviews came..
All I’m saying is, there are many female INDEPENDENT producers AND directors, who do a great job but dont feel the need to brag about their accomplishments.

Absolutely right! These are exactly the impressions I had as well. She looks highly insecure and chooses interviewers who are less intimidating than she is. Sandra Thomas truly deserves to be called the best producer. The fun part is that she definitely reads all the comments, both positive and negative, and mentions them in her next interview. The way she uses fillers speaks volumes. In her attempt to project positivity and self-worth, she tries to convey that others feel the same about her (Drishyam style). However, there are a few perceptive individuals who can see through this facade.
The comments are not meant to demean her but to assert that we, as spectators, do not need proof of someone's worth or capabilities.
@@JER9369She reads the comments, and I believe she has appointed someone who responds to the negative ones. Her insecurity is evident when she walks up to a stage, as she always holds Prithviraj's hand. She seemed intimidated by Parvathy at Malavika's wedding. If you notice, she was clearly embarrassed and looked away to the audience for a moment when she realized she was being ignored. The problem is that she possibly isn't making an effort to get along with female celebrities outside her comfort zone.

For instance this interview could’ve easily been done in Malayalam, considering many malayalis don’t understand English but madam decided to have it in English, clearly she gets a kick out of all this.
Also she finally bought her way into Film companion.. usually Malayala Manorama is her go to channel when she feels deflated ..
Why is she being interviewed? She is the producer for the namesake as prithviraj is the producer? She was a junior reporter but everyone treats her like a royalty. I don't understand. Just an average woman but try to portray herself like someone superior.
A PR propaganda.. nothing else! I don’t see why people would be interested in interviewing her..
these interviews are set up by their PR. In fact Fahad and Nazriya have been producing amazing films over the years.. truly know the pulse of the Malayalam audience and run with it!
