I blind bought Bal D’ Afrique and I had applied it for the first time and went out and I loveddddddd it’s wiffs here and there… it’s divine and addictive. I immediately ordered Gypsy water cuz if my experience with Byredo! Can’t wait for it to reach me… ❤️
I absolutely love Gypsy water but not the price tag. I find that Clean Reserve Solar bloom has that same creamy warmed sandalwood note, although Gypsy water is slightyly woodsier. They certainly have the same vibe. I think I might get the Divain 245 wich is supposed to be inspired by/ a dupe of Gypsy water
This one has been on my mind recently! I just bought bal d'afrique and I love it! I find it hard to put it down. Sucks that gypsy water is a skin scent though. Thanks for the review.
My favorite byredo scent so far is gypsy water. I personally prefer skin scents which I know is not a popular opinion in the perfume community. This one goes past being just a skin scent to the point that I can’t smell it sometimes for some reason. I haven’t bought a bottle due to the price point only. But I would if it was half the price.
Of you really like this one I would recommend trying Caron Pour Un Homme de Caron Sport. Not a dupe or clone but does give off the same vibe/smelll/feel to my noses. The Caron is cheaper last just as long and is from a quality house too. But I do like G water as well just the price to performance and the fact I have the Caron makes it a no go for me. Thanks for the review. I really like the oud Immortel from this house. Love the Limoncello note.
I love the fragrance of Gypsy water, but it doesn’t last on my skin...maybe 30 minutes. I would buy a full bottle if it lasted. I adore Bal D Afrique. One of my favorites!
I spray this on my scrubs, and I can smell it filter through my mask all day, which makes me happy. Yet, it is not loud enough for my patients to really detect. Perfect for the medical field! I also wear it when I just want to be cozy. I am absolutely mesmerized by this scent. Have you tried Soie Malaquais? It is magical in cool weather.
I love Gypsy Water. It's in my top 5 from Byredo. Beautiful for summer and turns into the most intoxicating skin scent. Glad you tried it and like it as well :)
Have a decant and love it... the juniper and creamy like base is so addictive to me, I want to just keep spraying but don’t want to run out😬thinking about saving up for it, but also wondering if anyone knows of things that smell like Gypsy Water or affordable dupes to it? I actually did try the Collette Tocca perfume listed on fragrantica as a close, it smells nice but unfortunately it doesn’t last AT ALL on my skin☹️ wondered if you have tried any of the Tocca brand?
Great review. I'm obsessed with the fragrance. Yet, it takes an enormous amount of fragrance to even smell the fragrance after 20 minutes. If it lasted longer and projected this would be The Signature Scent of the decade. Sadly, on me, I get about 10 minutes with my nose literally on my skin.
I got a sample of this and I think its beautiful. I wasnt sure if I'd like it just based on the notes. Didnt seem like something I'd like. So i was pleasantly surprised. That being said, like you i found the sillage lacking. I was barely able to smell it. So i wont be getting a full bottle. Thats something that's pretty important to me.😊
Hello Merlin, Very interesting video🎥 as always. I love watching your videos. I haven't tried Gypsy Water💧💦 but I have tried Ball D'Afrique and honestly I wasn't surprised. I guess I should give it more time and more chances. You talked about incense included in Gypsy Water and I was wondering whether you could talk about incense fragrances. Personally I ❤🌹it in perfumes.
@@DeliciousDelights Thank you! I went through your videos and found the one on incense perfumes and as I haven't heard of them you 've given me a good idea for future buys.
Gypsy Water is my favourite from Byredo. Went straight for the 100ml. I ended up selling my Bal D'Afrique and Mojave Ghost, both 50mls. I just don't use them at all. You have to check out their body wash, body lotion & hand cream for this one.
Have you tried The Saem's Urban Breeze, Vintage Water? It has similar top, middle and base notes. It smells like expensive paper, or somewhat like Kleenex tissues.
Gypsy water smells like it has a hint of manly BO in it on me. I so wanted to like it. Mojave Ghost disappointed me too. bal’ d’afrique smells better on me.

I love Gypsy Water. I bought ita couple of months ago. It was love at first sniff. Beautiful fragrance 🤩
citrusy, piny, sandal.....smooth....all my fav. would love to try this one

I prefer skin scents too!😊
Try Mercari. I just bought mine there
@@cindylund8299 I only buy there from people I trust because not everything is legit. I’ve had some mixed luck with mercari.
Love Byredo! My very favourite is Bibliotheque. I also own and love Gypsy Water.
Bibliotheque is lovely.
If you guys like Bal d'afrique try Initio Musk Therapy. So gorgeous!
Bald ass freak... 😂 it’s not for me.
I use the dupe of Oil Perfumery and spray the extract de parfum dupe of Oakcha over it. Last better than the original for a better price!
I love the smell of gypsy water but for me it's a bit of a rip off as the longevity does not match the price. It barely lasts on my skin 😔
DUA is releasing their version this weekend!
Definitely spray more on you. It will last all day!!
Try oil perfumery and Oakcha
I love Gipsy Water, but the longevity (2-3 hours) does not match the price tag.

I ADORE Gypsy Water. It is so gorgeous. Sometimes I layer it with Santal 33 for a more earthy vibe and longevity.

I’m sold. Adding it to my cart right now!
Mojave Ghost, Antique Vanilla and Gypsy Water my favorite
You need to try Mojave Ghost..It is beautiful and unique as well
I'll try to soon...looking forward to it! :)
That’s my scent from past 4-5 yrs 👍🏻😊

Hi Georgia. I released an incense video not too long ago, with my 3 fave incense perfumes :)
@@DeliciousDelights Thank you!
I went through your videos and found the one on incense perfumes and as I haven't heard of them you 've given me a good idea for future buys.
I haven’t tried Gypsy Water yet!
I layer with the body lotion and the perfume, the smell sticks longer 😉
I splurged on the hair fragrance $80.
I love the scent.

I'll definitely get my nose on that one soon :)
this one is my most favourite from byredo
Gypsy water as sample size to try can I order one. AM
Gypsy water is my everyday work scent
Have you tried The Saem's Urban Breeze, Vintage Water? It has similar top, middle and base notes. It smells like expensive paper, or somewhat like Kleenex tissues.
I don't think I've heard of that one. Sounds very nice :D
That price tag though 😩
Right?!
Byredo, please change the name of this perfume 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Sounds fantastic!
Incense is one of those notes that I just can't stand on my skin. It sounds really interesting, but not for me :)
is it like decent quality ?
i mean better than a usual designer scent ?
The dry down reminds me of Tam Dao EDT by Diptyque
Yes!! Its tam dao but fresher
I love it!
Im a gypsy from India I didn’t know that there is a gypsy perfume!😆
Gypsy water smells like it has a hint of manly BO in it on me. I so wanted to like it.
Mojave Ghost disappointed me too.
bal’ d’afrique smells better on me.
Amazing that it is so different per person. I love gypsy water and mojave ghost. B'aldafrique I cannot smell it, nothing, no smell at all.
