We got just a bit more info since I made this video: The game has been in development for 5 years! Obviously huge news and makes me eve more optimistic that this game will be solid when it releases hopefully some time next year or early 2025 at the latest!
In-game transformations are the biggest thing for me. It's a trademark of Tenkaichi games, and a no-brainer. Transformations sequences and DB go hand in hand and the community clearly loves them. So imagine how confused I was when all modern DBZ games had Cell, Frieza and Buu forms as separate characters.
BT3 had a huge claim to fame in part due to how sick the transformations were, and how they switched up the moves and sometimes even the playstyle of the character you chose on top of altering attributes. So the modern Dragon Ball games, in all their infinite wisdom, decided to _not_ do any of that and just make transformations slight visual changes with often minute stat buffs. And if a character's transformation changed their appearance too much? To the unrelated character slot it goes.
So excited to see what BT4/SZ has to offer cause if Bandai’s statements and the potential roster of characters is true it could be the best Dragon Ball game.
On the relase date subject, keep in mind that this game was getting dubbed as far back as 3 months ago which means that the development was already reaching the end considering dubbing in other languages for international games is one of the last things that game developers worry about

It's a mistake! On gamestop, they show that the game offline is 1-2 players, meaning we will have at least some form of local multiplayer! So clearly someone is wrong, either gamestop is wrong, or playstation and steam are wrong about the game only having online multiplayer.
I remember budokai tenkaichi 3 had characters from all eras (DB, DBZ, DBGT, movies), as well as giant characters (great ape, Dr Wheelo, Hirudegarn) so to hear Bandai Namco claim the roster will be “historic” makes me think that aside from Super, we may even get Xenoverse and Heroes characters as well
Heroes is unlikely due to it being almost completely separate to mainline dragon ball (mainly used as promotion for the mobile game) but not impossible as dlc. All I hope for is some characters from all series (DB, DBZ, DBGT, DBS and movies) along with added characters later as dlc

The biggest problem with the BT games were the uniqueness of the roster moves. Alot of them were copy paste. It kinda makes sense as some of them were not on screen alot, so it would make even more sense to just not include them. I just hope they put more work into that

it would be dope if they implement passive abilities for characters. That would help characters that play different. Like androids auto recharge ki or Broly doing more damage the longer a fight goes on so it resembles his fight with vegeta in the movie.

It is a bit weird that they keep low key back peddling with sparking zero saying it has the "spirit" of the budokai games. Hope they are confident in what they are releasing.

I am hoping they have the old way to select a character. Like how you showed if the video where you could select the transformation version of the character you want to play. Now it is one thing they didn't say. Which was if it was going to have online battles. I know a lot of people who play online wants this game to have that ability to fight others online. I think if they do that then they should have the martial arts tournament be online as well with the rules for it too. I think it would be fun to have something like tha against others.

About the ground shaking now im allowed to have an excuse for spamming grabs he only reason i used grabs in xv2 was cause its fun to just bring my opponent to the ground and seeing how long the grab would last as they look cool so now i have a reason to dk them and not just i like seeing the animation but instead i like seeing the ground shake

My expectations are low if I'm being honest. I loved the tenkaichi games so much, and would waste basically months just playing nothing but them growing up. So to not risk being disappointed, I'm trying to not expect too much. But my god, if we do truly get the next Tenkaichi as what it should be, then it will be the best day in gaming in YEARS for me!....but again my expectations are very low, looking at what games were mentioned since the merger... Jump Force didn't turn me off due to the visuals, it was the fact it felt very clunky and had a very lackluster hub

The smaller looking beams makes me thing it’s also like the raging blast games where you can charge beams.

Now it is one thing they didn't say. Which was if it was going to have online battles. I know a lot of people who play online wants this game to have that ability to fight others online. I think if they do that then they should have the martial arts tournament be online as well with the rules for it too. I think it would be fun to have something like tha against others.
I think the character models look great, but personally I HATE the trend of super realistic environments with the stylized characters
DONT PREORDER - always know this, don't do the dumb thing and FOMO impulse buy
sure it looks nice and next gen but again the meat of the game is very important:
- needs that attention to detail
- needs the obscure characters (super hercule, monaka, pepsi man, THE DOCTOR, copy Vegeta, etc)
- what ifs
- dragonball superheroes
- TEEN goten and trunks
- no CaC
- beam struggles
- PLAYS like BT not raging blast, xenoverse, etc

Leave 1v1 as its mode, but have a mp/party mode for friends like tenkaichi tag team or expand on that and make 2v2 or 3v3 with everyone on that field. have that and you got the greatest DB game of all time. Nano ik you got pull bro, tell them to do this PLEASE, imagine tenkaichi mechanics with 4-6 players on the field
About the ground shaking now im allowed to have an excuse for spamming grabs he only reason i used grabs in xv2 was cause its fun to just bring my opponent to the ground and seeing how long the grab would last as they look cool so now i have a reason to dk them and not just i like seeing the animation but instead i like seeing the ground shake
I miss the these 'super kamehameha', 'full power energy wave', 'full power energy ball', 'high power rush', 'high speed rush', 'full power energy barrage', 'full power energy blast volley', 'super explosive wave', 'explosive wave', 'psychokinesis', 'telekinesis', 'finish sign', 'false courage', 'instant transmission', 'afterimage strike', 'wild sense', 'full power charge', 'power up to the very limit', the stacking up 'kaio-ken' & a lot more iconic phrases used for different characters.

I feel like we should be able to basically confirm ssgss gogeta and ssgss vegito as they are fan favorites but I hope we can transform into them as it would be really cool

My expectations are low if I'm being honest. I loved the tenkaichi games so much, and would waste basically months just playing nothing but them growing up. So to not risk being disappointed, I'm trying to not expect too much. But my god, if we do truly get the next Tenkaichi as what it should be, then it will be the best day in gaming in YEARS for me!....but again my expectations are very low, looking at what games were mentioned since the merger... Jump Force didn't turn me off due to the visuals, it was the fact it felt very clunky and had a very lackluster hub

I hope they bring back the directional strong attacks and the ability to block every direction, its small but that littlle complexity could add alot to gameplay i just dont want it to be the same repetitive 2 button arena fighters we've been getting
Tenkaichi 3 is my favorite fighter game of all time me and my cousins would play for hours so hyped for this game !
Even though I never played the other dragon ball Boodakia Tinachi games I am so hyped for this version I’m so hyped for this I am just to amazed that another dragon ball game is coming out, I’m definitely getting this game for sure
If they would've put the functions in for Ultimate Tenkaichi and I hope that they have the transformation from Tenkaichi 3 where anybody would tell can transform when they look at the Moon

I REALLY doubt that it will come on 2025, considering that GTA VI will supposedly come out on Early 2025 and I don't think I need to explain why releasing it at that time would be a horrible idea
If they can mix the fluent movement and combos from kakarot and combos from xv2 with online play with with original gameplay this could be amazing

I THINK what they will do now is give us some characters trailers like monthly or weekly something like just like what they do with tekken 8 but like 4 characters or more each time and then show us a full game trailer including the story ofc and I just wish if it had a is completely unique original story like fighterz and a new original boss character
I still need a J-Stars Victory Vs 2. The only thing that held that game back was the lack of characters and maps. Gameplay was great for me.

Either they didn't add it or they just forgot to type local multiplayer in or they didnt add it into the website but has local multiplayer in tenkaichi 4
