Thanks for posting, Brian. Great video. Trains were so much more interesting back then, and the liveries so much more attractive too. I must be getting old!
Another superb video Brian… I like the way that, unlike the 91/mk4 sets on the ECML, the 86/87/mk3 combos didn’t all have the loco at the “country” end…it was very mix and match. I’ve also noticed in your WCML videos from this era, a lot of locos seem to have been “ran around” and are leading from the DVT end. Did they have a lot of issues with the Mk3 DVT’s..?
I think they were built on the cheap and rather quickly. They were pouring everything in to the Mk4 stock and had some issues with that. It also could’ve been TDM issues as I know they had plenty of those on the Mk2/3 stock on the WCML.
Thanks Bob ,yes liveries were not kept at their best in the early mid 90s The weather didn't bring out their best either,i videoed in all weathers then regards Brian
90s was the best time for train spotting it was great

Couldn’t tell you , but it did seem to occur numerous times 🤔

It was certainly different back then.
Fastest way to get from Stafford to Euston via the Trent.
Another great compilation Brian, shame that corporate livery wasn't kept cleaner, as it was very attractive....Bob
