Good splitting session 👍 The close up shot around the 10:00 mark really shows the wedge "lift" you have talked about previously. Good luck with your busy week, and stay safe.
Yeah you can make a lot of wood fast when the logs are good sized. And yeah the small logs I can’t stand. No more of those after I get through what I have left. All the next loads I will refuse if I see small stuff.
@@Treestofirewood Today is the day I'm trying to get them unstuck. Finally had some time. The best way I've found to get them unstuck is to just run the boiler hard, which has been hard with how warm it is. Turned the heat off on one of the zones in my house this morning, and then this morning I cranked it back up so the boiler should run for awhile trying to keep up. Put some pretty good wood and will hopefully have it clean itself out (i did go through 2 rounds of cardboard in the lower reaction chamber prior to starting the run to help it along) Unfortunately, you can't really get lazy with these machines, the tubes are definitely stuck because I was loading way to much wood in + some giant pieces I didn't feel like splitting anymore and this is the result. Might need to this experiment a few times to clear it up, I'll be surprised if they are unstuck after just one run. I'm surprised yours are getting stuck with the dryness of the wood you put in plus the load the kiln must put on the machine even when it is warm out.
I just don't have the balls to spend 30k so I suffer! how are the PTO processors? I have a 50 eHp 6700lb tractor. is it worth putting hours on a 2022 tractor to run a processor??? any thoughts? nice vidja well I'm going to get something done, even if it is wrong! PS you only get a processor if you buy firewood poles right? the tree guys drop off wood for free. some is too big. I traded in the dirt bikes for tractors , chainsaws and guns. I'm too old , body is clapped out like a 10 year old 125 2-stroke
I’ve never run a pto processor but know a lot of guys who have them. You buy a tractor to use it and that’s a big tractor you have. So use it. Those diesel engines will run forever. And yeah if you buy a processor you better buy logs from a logger. You can run tree service wood in it but when we cut logs we cut whatever works for us. So knots splits and can be any size. Investing in a processor you better be producing a lot of wood to make money otherwise it is a complete waste.

Yeah it moves but when it stays in place boy can I fly through the wood.
Love that 8-way splitter! You can go through a poop load of wood with it.
With the right size wood you can make a lot in a hurry.
Very fast. Is the log advance stoping when it hits that bar or is it just a guide and you are stopping it?
It’s just a guide. I stop the log when it hits or gets close. And it is also adjustable as well if you choose to do longer or shorter splits.
@@Treestofirewood it works so well that it didn't slow you down at all. Nice Processor!
@adirondackwoodsman yeah it’s not bad. Might lose a second or two but who’s counting. For the money can’t beat it.
When you’re in the perfect size wood that thing flies through the logs I hate small logs they slow me down so much

Upgrade to a 18-24 diesel processor or a disc cleaner?
You sure can make a mountain of wood quickly when you have good sized logs
Yeah you can. How did it go for you getting your turbulators un stock. Mine I think by morning will be solid.

@richarddabkowski2896 wait till you see tomorrows video.
What ever the upgrade, or change is. I would say it should be interesting. If I was a betting man. Sponsored videos. Have a great week.
You may be onto something there. But lots to come.
I predict a boiler swap 😉

Im sure it has been mentioned already, but it looks like your pin on the cylinder is about to pop out.
Good eye. After we stopped filming it sure did. I was like what the hell.
check ur pin on push plate looks like its almost out
Good eye. After filming the pin did come out and lost that. Not sure how that came loose.

No protections on that machine. Dangerous! Get an Eastonmade.
What concerns do you have?
