I bought my original Buck 110 just after finishing basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, in 1965. It traveled around the world with me since then. While working with EOD in the mid-70's I broke the tip (almost 1/4 inch) trying to pry a souvenir off an old tank target and I was heartbroken. I filed a new tip which turned out more rounded but the knife was still very effective as I used it to set up ordnance explosions. It is still in use today as part of my overland camping survival kit. Just recently I bought another Buck 110 and had it personalized; however, the scales are orange G10 and does not possess the familiar Buck 110 personality. When someone whips out an original 110 it is immediately recognizable. Thank you, Zac and Kurt, for your incredible presentations...great job!
I impulse bought the Kizer sheepdog XL too! I love that knife. I EDC a para2 but I get so many complements and seconds looks at the Kizer, its funny to see people do a double take when I snap that blade out! I didn't recognize Kurt till I heard him talk LOL!
I carry Cold Steel Luzon 6 inch or Ti-Lite 6 every day. They both have a quick deploy ability and carry great. I trust these 100% as a back-up to my 380.
don’t carry a 380 if you have literally any other choice. literally even a single stack glock 43 is a better choice than a 380. 380 is lethal but it’s objectively worse than literally any 9mm and when you can get so many small 9mms these days there’s no reason to primary carry a 380. a backup gun sure but not a primary.
I got my Cold Steel Recon 1 (spear point) 3 days ago. I've been easily carrying it in the cargo pocket of a pair of shorts ever since. I am amazed at how easy it is to discretely throw into a pocket, and how light it is for it's size. The lockup is SOLID. I don't know if I can go back to any of my smaller carry knives. :-)
I really enjoy these youtube vids that Blade HQ. I am a regular customer of BHQ and a collector of folders (tactical variety) and have nearly 500 pieces from all the major makers and a few Italian and German pieces as well. Choosing my EDC can be a chore with so many knives, but it is also a pleasure. Do I need all these knives - No. Will I use all of these knives as they are made to be used - No. You often review the knives I have and I really study these evaluations and reports - helping decide whether to purchase or not Keep up the good work!
Love this WOW! I've had a RAT-1 for about a year. Always dug it but have carried it a ton the last month or so. It has quickly become one of my of my favorites! Usually EDC a CRKT Caligo in D2, but my R-1 is stealing the show!
For the longest time, I’ve been carrying a SOG Trident in all black with partial serration. Absolutely love it. The blade itself doesn’t seem that large but trust me it’ll get just about any job done. It’s super light for its size also just disappears into my pocket. Whenever I just pluck it out my pocket tho people seem to freak out and I’m like “why?”.. like seriously I don’t even consider it that big but everyone says it’s a freaking huge knife. So yeah, I use the crap out of it have been for years and it just works awesome and it only cost like $80 I think. It’s a great knife.
I know this is months old but I just want to say I bought my 1st Cold Steel folder years ago and LOVE it it is a SPARTA. I have done every thing from opening boxes, chopped trees, and even skinned a bear, with my SPARTA.
Two suggestions for knife banters. Story time with Zac, including the knives he was carrying. I'd also love to see some videos featuring knives from different nationalities i.e. Japan, Switzerland, Australia etc.
*Zac holding a 4 Max Scout, walking up to a innocent shelf stocker* “Where is the location of the beans for my tacos I shall make tomorrow.” “Why are you running! I NEED MA BEANS”
When I was younger my sister found a big ole deer gutting liner lock folder and I took it home and it was so fun to play with I feel like it was smith and wesson but I'm not sure for some reason it ended up in a fireplace.
I've had an Adamas a while now and i've carried that beast in my pocket more than a few times. It is a heavy knife, but man that thing is an absolute beast!
I'm currently carrying a gerber flat iron with the g10 handle variant and it's pretty big. Along with a small buck knife to hand to non knife ppl if they need a knife.
Aw man! I missed the wow live! But, I had a good time camping with my Gerber flatiron, case large amber bone stockman, Mora garberg, and hatchet. Got a lot more use out of all three of the knives than I thought I would! It always feels good to put my knives through some work to see how they hold up!
I actually just got a xl sheepdog and omg I love it. I usually wear gym shorts too and it doesn’t even pull them down at all I barely notice it in my pocket
The Buck 110 and the Puma were big knives back in the day '68-'73. My buddy had the Puma, great for cutting Jarlsberg cheese and bread when we were drinking
You don't need three knifes, you don't need keys, you don't need a flashlight - if you carry an Espada XL. The blade has steel for three knifes, works as a goatfoot, and the light reflecting from the blade gives enough light to see in the darkest night.
My current edc is a cold steel ultimate hunter. Not really what I would consider a big knife but the contoured g10 handle is fantastic for hard use and I scored the knife for less than $100. Spectacular value.
Idk man, i carry the cold steel espada xl in my pocket and my phone sits in there right along side it, it is a snug fit but i can get my phone without issues and ive got just normal dude pants so idk i say big knives all the way!! Haha also love you guys!
I have a microtech ultratech that I just got today that I instantly fell in love with! I also have the crkt m16 and a cold steel recon1. I like big knives hahaha!
ZT 0350 is my EDC(stonewash). I loved so much I bought a 2nd 0350 once I heard they were discontinued. I usually have a Victorinox Hunter(olive green) in my other pocket.
I just pocket carry a fixed blade when I want to carry a larger blade. To me, one of the primary benefits of folders is a greater degree of concealment.
I’m loving my Civivi Naja and Cold Steel Ranger Lite. They are my big folders.....for now. Waiting for Cold Steel Spartan coming back in stock, Its on my wishlist which is up to around 250 knives.
I edc a Gerber flat iron .so at work I was talking to friend ( girl )about her Pepper spray and she said you better not mess with me oh and I have my knife (tiny folding boxcuter) and I said oh you got a knife let's go .and flicked out my flat iron . Her face.Priceless. Her friend called it a Sword.. I would never Hurt them and know we are good friends
Lol, I was able to fit my Espada XL, my smith and Wesson executive, my Victorinox tinker, my phone, my Zippo, and a mini Rubik's cube and a few other things all in my pocket, just normal Levi's jeans front pocket. Bam.
You know your a knife guy when you say « Actually, I’m the first one to ever cut myself on one of these knives. » (Zac) and your buddy (Kurt) goes « Niiice! » and you just play it cool and don’t react. 😂
@@03_austindrake88 He didn't, at all....I was like ..wait what lol.... then I cracked up... him not reacting at all made it even funnier... Kurt slipped that one in good 😆
I'm usually a 3.75 to 4 inch knife guy. It has more to do with the handle filling my hand than blade length but I've gotten used to it. I love the recon 1 and the 06 auto.
Buck 110: From the 1960's through the 1990's , the most purchased, most confiscated by chain of command locking knife in the US Army. Served us literally everywhere from the Korean and inter German borders, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama and Desert Storm.
Great video. Can you guys do a Knife Banter on knives that have Multiple Sizes of the same Knife? Or possibly knives that have a fixed blade and folder of the same knife style like the Kizer T1? That would be pretty cool. Thanks guys, have a great day.
Just getting into knives so far I have a Spyderco cheap from Walmart a Buck 110 with leather sheath a Cold Steel Counter Tac 2 and the CRKT Fossil. The Buck 110 is my favorite. I found out Dickies with the flat pocket is great for EDC knives
Can’t wait to get a Ben blue banter.... Ben is such an awesome guy 100% genuine (I’ve talked to him a few times) I really really pray his knife makes millions of dollars 🙏🏼🤙🏼
The obvious question is what is a small, medium, large, XL size EDC folder? I think of 4" or less as small. A medium would include some of the 6" folders I've carried. I would consider the Espada XL a large. XL means that I can not fit it in my pocket.
Crkt minimalist allen folts design drop point neck knife. Then COLDSTEEL Voyager large tanto in my front pocket then sometimes if i wear shorts i carry my Crkt 01ks instead. My light i carry is a CvLife xmL-T6
I was able to get one of the Spyderco Manix 2 XL D2 Natural G10 with black blade. I wish I could carry it but my work doesn’t allow knives to be carried so I EDC a Ranger Green Bugout
I've been running the kershaw blur s30v for a lil over a yr and I bought a cheap chopper knife off wish and liked it although it weighed about 15g lol, so I just bought the kizer sheepdog xl and can't wait to get ahold of it lol

Just received my order, thank you guys so much for shipping so quickly even nowadays.
I appreciate it guys!!!
I carry Cold Steel Luzon 6 inch or Ti-Lite 6 every day. They both have a quick deploy ability and carry great. I trust these 100% as a back-up to my 380.
Never bring a knife to a gunfight but it looks like you got that covered. 2nd Amendment bro.
don’t carry a 380 if you have literally any other choice. literally even a single stack glock 43 is a better choice than a 380. 380 is lethal but it’s objectively worse than literally any 9mm and when you can get so many small 9mms these days there’s no reason to primary carry a 380. a backup gun sure but not a primary.

Exactly my thoughts after the first week of carrying it. This knife will definitely stay in my pocket.
I still EDC my Cold Steel Recon 1 XL. Serrated edge because if your ready for zombies your ready for anything.
Ok you don't have to be like that. Because I'm jealous they don't sell those anymore.
No, but that seems like a awesome knife.
I know I want the recon 1 xl and the talwar areally great they should bring them back
I chose the CS Frenzy, it carries well & works with Snagletooth mod for out the pocket snag- deployment, & imo its the perfect zombie poking tool!
Serrated edge, for the XL pussies with legs in life like yourself
Someone's salty. @@VBCVeryBigChannel
I carry a spartan edc!! The only thing I’ve done to it is take the thumb stud off, and I open it by flicking my wrist, not recommended
I’m now carrying the LBF-01 from Halfbreed Blades. It’s a serious beast of a folder. S35VN materials and workmanship are excellent.
Got myself a cold steel large luzon couple of days ago, and I'm loving it. Almost too perfect to see more large folders I can get my grubby hands on
I have carried mine for over a year. The fact its under $50 is insane. If I were to recommend a defense folder to someone on a budget, this is it.

I got a shoutout on W.O.W. (Stales33 who requested the Manix 2 XL)! And people have thought 2020 has sucked so far......

That just sounds cool.
Right now I’m carrying the Cold Steel Recon 1 Tanto. My overall favorite knife
Jeremy Two yeah mine keep the large model. I’ve carried and beat this thing to death and all the scarring has done is give the knife “personality”
I love that it's a big knife video and Zac keeps saying "it's a good little knife". 😂😂

Not extremely huge, but I have a Gerber Gator Premium that I do love to EDC on a regular basis. Biggest folder I currently have anyway.
I'm currently carrying a gerber flat iron with the g10 handle variant and it's pretty big. Along with a small buck knife to hand to non knife ppl if they need a knife.
Omg stfu
Love my gator, edict, and prodigy🔪🔪
Can you take me over to shop large big knives
@@anonymous5t565 I EDC’d a flatiron for a while and really liked it. How did you like it?
The 6 inch ti lite and the SOG slimjim xl would have been some interesting additions to this line up.

You should make Curt a shirt saying “The Hams don’t speak they just do”
Joshua Sidwell
Good choice
i would give this 2 thumbs up if i could

Bark River in 3V is the holy grail of fixed blades. No tougher steel, no better knives. Delicious.

I bought the sandstone g-10 4max. Weekend carry, I love it, it fits in my pocket with my Dango wallet. I feel the wallet more than the knife.
I carried a Kershaw 1630 for about a decade, and I'm 5'11" 130. Now rocking a para 3 lightweight and a Bowie I made.

Yes for the zac & kershaw show!
Kurt almost finished it but, "is that an espada XL in your pocket or are you happy to see me" 😏
Must be a massive mandingo if you gonna be thinking it’s an espada XL!!
But it’s Zac (who has a tiny micropenis) so we know it must be an espada XL.
It's evil that you didn't include the Cold Steel Recon 1.
That’s a regular sized knife that I carry everyday, bring back the Recon 1 XL model. Now there’s a large.

The buck 110 was the fist propper knife given to me... still have it and use is after about 15 years
