Sam Houston was a great time for me. I remember when they integrated the dorms for the first time back in January of this year. I lived on the 3rd floor. Forgot which room though. I graduated from there back in April. I used to be one of the faces for the drill team there. I hear the Col coined the drill team one or two weeks ago. Are you a rope? I'm being careful not to say anything that would compromise what it is we do, but once you graduate and earn that badge, you will feel so accomplished. Hope you're having a great time there. Plenty of activities to do around the area you're in. Best of wishes to you! AIM HIGH!
Also, if you haven't already and you're willing to walk there, I'd recommend eating at the Rocco's Dining Facility. The quality of the food at the DeFac is better than the one by the dorms.

Could you show or better explain how you styled your hair after you took your braids out after the first two weeks? We have very similar hair and im like freaking out because idk how to deal with it when i go because it has a mind of its own and I don't wanna get screamed at lol
I also wanted to ask this but more from the standpoint that my hair has taken a beating since I’ve started having it up all the time 😫 I’ve noticed a lot more dandruff and I have to have my hair down for 3 days to get back my curls fully

How was your transition from BMT to Tech School moving wise ? Did you have to throw a lot of stuff away or get bigger bags to put your uniforms in ? was it difficult packing ?!
It wasn't that bad! I threw away things I didn't need anymore. You'll learn the best way to pack your uniforms & in airmens week they give you a chance to buy bigger bags if you need them.
Hi there, I'm in the process of joining right now. my biggest fears are my hair (just went natural) so my hair isn't that long, it's about neck length. Plus my husband and I are stationed in Montana, and no one here knows how to do my hair😒. Also what happens when waking up in the morning? Like do you brush your teeth then go downstairs for pt? I heard you get up and just go. then I heard mti's bang on the door to wake you up. just a lot of different things in the morning process.

Thanks love!! I waited a good 5months before I found out my recruiter booked me as open general! Then I didn't leave for another 3-4 months.

Everyone goes to JBSA-(joint base San Antonio) Lackland & yes it's in Texas.

Look for some online practice tests. The math is what trips a lot of people up Bc its been so long since we have had to do math not using a calculator

Did you go to tech school right after you graduated from BMT?
Do you have to finish all your meals? What if you don't? I love food and enjoy eating but sometimes I can't eat a lot at the same time.
Did you have time to apply sunscreen being in all the heat and sun, also if you are menstruating how did you guys care for yourselves as far as like where you able to leave to go to a restroom or whatever was available to you when you needed and take care of everything
Hey your videos are super helpful boo! I leave Aug. 8th for BMT. If i have my nails done should I remove the polish before I go? And do you get to keep the workout gear and clothing they give you?
Take the polish off, soak them off if they're acrylic & yes everything they issue you is yours...they're your uniforms after all.
Can you debunk the open general please? Do they put you wherever they want or do you make a list and they can't put you somewhere that wasn't listed on your top 8?
SimplyTameia Lol 😂. No, they put you wherever they want. My first base was Minot North Dakota. Winter lasts nine months of the year in ND and it’s below zero for most of it.

Thank your for your informative videos !! really awesome :) was curious about the running in bmt.. was I pretty horrible. I've heard mix advice in not worrying about being a runner before you go to bmt.. that you can work on it while your there.. others have said be a runner before you get there.. I haven't run in years lol.. any advice ? thanks !
