I love to listen the interview from other religions background .
I growing up a Southern Baptist back in the Philippines 🇵🇭, I know the Mormon through my Baptist Pastor, why they hate to much the Mormons, and I became curious about it.
And because of my curiosity I became converted to the Church, I NEVER regret when I joined, to much blessing.

My mother was a lifelong Protestant, but was intelligent and did not keep quiet when the Baptist pastor replied: "that's the beauty of it.....the mysteries of the Bible". Nope, she kept searching all her life for a Pastor that could answer lifes most significant and basic questions. One time, a 14 year old girl sent the Mormon missionaries to our house. These young 18 year old men answered EVERY ONE OF HER DEEP BIBICAL QUESTIONS! (It took months). Our whole family was baptized. She even quit smoking; a habit shed had for 40 years - the Lord helped her and it was extremely hard. This was before it was discovered to cause all of the health issues that it has been researched to cause here in the year 2023!

That was for the levites, now we're after the order of Melchizodoch, NOT aaronic priesthood. You are not Jewish, or Levite, and the temple the Levites served in is gone.

Antonio, what a beauty testimony. As a convert I too had similar issues. My difference was I was an inactive/non church going Christian. But I KNEW that someday I would walk with Christ again as I had no doubt about his divinity. The missionaries found me and my girlfriend and long story short we got married, got baptized and 3 of our children got baptized also. I have been steadfast ever since. Currently I'm the Elder's quorum President but have been a Stake Clerk, a Stake High Councilor and Councilor in the Bishopric. All of these callings have reinforced by belief that God wants us to serve each other. Not go to Church only on Sunday and the occasional activity. However, I do believe we are all in a different place in our walk with Christ and I don't look down on people on those with less zeal than I have - I was once there. I'm so inspired by your faith thank you.

What a cool journey Antonio is having. His affinity for God is very interesting, such that his conversion to the LDS faith is more of an addition to him than a change. It teaches me that God works in many different ways. And it verifies to me my observation that some people are just naturally good, even if they are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ LDS. And so it speaks to hope, that no matter where we are, God can bring us to him in grace.

Saying there is one God is a very fundamental thing about Judaism and Christianity that distinguished it from the polytheistic religions around it throughout history. The Jews say the Shema twice a day:
"Hear, O Israel: YHWH is our God, YHWH is one", found in Deuteronomy 6:4
Isaiah says "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. [11] I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour."

God bless you brave hermano. I have familia close to where you're from. So it's more comforting to hear of your conversion being from there. Like many other traditional Mexicans who are catholic, nearly all of my relatives are catholic but I still love them. The church never ever tells its converts to turn on its family or to stop loving them. It's usually the other way around where our family turns on us like they never new us. Hence, I know it can be very hard to stand alone. Happy for your conversion hermano. The Book of Mormon is true. I find it very hard to believe God wasn't aware of His kids on the other side of the world till 1492. Not just up till then, but that God didn't reach out to His Kids ever in ancient America as well for the other well over 1000s of years before Christ's birth? No way. Total confidence in God that He tried and succeeded in reaching out to His kids not once, but several times in the ancient new world. The evidence I see is all this modern day mayhem that is completely identical to the vicious cycle of good vs evil throughout the book of mormon.

Thank you for sharing your inspiring and brave experience. It’s really a modern day miracle how the spirit works by helping a person see the light of Christ and having the wisdom to stand and be brave for what he/she believed. It’s not easy to stand especially when the world persecutes the gospel and the church but being brave and stand up for what you know is true is very admiring.... the Lord really works I a mysterious ways and right it is always on the Lords time table... ❤❤

It's strange to me to hear talk of the LDS gospel as a restoration of the gospel when so much of the LDS church is composed of newly patented things and procedures just since Joseph Smith came on the scene.

Thats what happened to me too. The Book Of Mormon is the records of the prophets on the American continent: the "other sheep that are not of this fold". Anyone who reads the Book of Mormon will know its the true record of the ancestors of the American Indians that greeted Columbus when he arrived in the New World!!!! Wow!!!

When i served in Salt Lake City i met a former southern baptist who joined the church who was a former minister.
Growing up in Florida, that is a miracle. I have many southern baptist friends.
Gladis knight also joined the church if you know her back ground remarkable conversation.

It is so easy when you allow the truth to be displayed to you and you're sincere to God and yourself. Another thin about the Priesthood; Imagine Paul after he got blind on the road to Damascus, Jesus told him to go and see Ananias the priest. Well, he had to be ordained and be set apart as an apostle of the Lord by the laying on of hands by the priest. So not like other denominations that they don't want to admit that the real Authority of the God on earth has been restored, yes the Priesthood! Yhe Melquisedek priesthood which in Salms tell us: and thou are ordained even the order of Melquisedek talking about Jesus. Same keys Jesus bestowed on Peter and the apostoles. Which I have been able to possess now as the Priesthood has been restored and I've blessed my family with it.

It's heartbreaking that we humans go from wind of doctrine to another wind. of doctrine
We need the finished and completed work of our Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. THAT is the only WAY God will accept for entrance into heaven

    What practices made sense?
    What teachings were inspiring??
How do you bring such a different type of worship into your new religious practice?
LDS worship quite differently a bit quiet or low key compared to charismatic evangelical churches??
