Turned out so pretty! I dye with avocados a lot :~) you can also break apart the pits after they've soaked for a while (be careful tho cuz they're hot!) to let out more dye. I once used like 10 avocado skins and pits and let the yarn sit for several days in the dye to get a dark reddish peach color! I would love to see if you experiment with more dyes -- I tried with white onions and the resulting color was not very yellow of course -- use yellow onion skins if you do! Just be careful because if you venture into mordant territory you'll want to use a separate pot that you do not use for making food ~
Wow, the yarn turned out so pretty! I once died some fabric with tumeric, that also worked incredibly well, it produced such a gorgeous shade of yellow and the fabric smelled so nice for weeks after still. But I definitely want to dye some yarn as well. Maybe again using tumeric, maybe some avocados or onion peels as well
i found your channel a little while ago, and i've just been working my way through them as i knit. i love this video!!! it is one of my favourites thus far. definitely have inspired me to try dying my own yarn tooo
It turned out such a beautiful color! I follow some knitters/crocheters from european countries but I don’t know any from Portugal. I’m moving there next month and would like to explore materials to work with. Do you happen to know anyone there?
I don't really personally know any portuguese knitters, but some people did say that in Lisbon there are some really nice yarn shops! Maybe you can find some fellow knitters through there?

Thank you 🥰🥰 I'm planning on filming an apartment tour soon!
This looks beautiful. It kind of reminds me of Drops Paris Old Pink! Or probably the Dessert Rose after drying haha.
Yes a bit, I've always loved that color but never got around to buying it haha
This is giving me such an urge to try this too! I don't think my parents would appreciate it though 😂💗
Haha just go for it!
Soaking black beans will create a very nice stormy blue colour.
Ahh I really want to try that!
Nettles might be a good one to try. - Wouls different herbal teas work?
Nettles could be super cool! And for teas maybe yes, I’ll do some research on it
