My swift is still running in stock pads , and it is now 57000kms ...
You need to maintain the caliper slider pin, lubricate it. And never ask the service guys to clean pads with sandpaper, I always just wipe with a cloth containing brake cleaner.

For people wondering why tata harrier/safari has not been crash tested.
Tata harrier/safari has an engineering mistake where the engine components that are just behind the pedals can protrude into the cabin and injure the driver's ankle/leg due to the placement of the fuel filter of that engine in rhd markets in the event of an accident. In Ihd markets that's not an issue. Same goes for jeep compass & mg hector which shares the same engine, only Ihd has been tested. So not to ruin their reputation they simply did not crash test it. And gncap is a hypocritical scam.

The problem is the engine is designed for left hand drive as per sources .. Hopefully Tata will bring a new petrol engine and get a 5 star rating for safari and harrier
Tata really needs to improve their built quality and reliability. There's literally not a single harrier/safari owner that hasn't tried to claim warranty for a failed component.

@@doglover24689 nope, so many of their cars has started to rust within 1 year of ownership. Especially with altroz and harrier. Poor fit and finish of body lines and contaminated poor quality paint jobs from factory. Gnap safety is not everything.

Recently njan ente 5 year old tiago service cheytu .35000 km total run.Service cost expecially labour too high.Engine oil,air filter,break fluid ingane basic kaaryangal matram cheytittu thane 8200.Athil 3600 mato labour matram ayi.Service done from KVR Payyannur.bill venamengi share cheyam.But service experience valare nallath ayirunnu except for the thing avar thane parayunnu e tiago old ayi puthiya tiago nookikude enn lol...Major service ennu parayan polum ila still cost bayangara athikam anu.Just basic filters and fluids.coolant change cheytitum ila.

I believe none of the manufacturers offer warranty for more than 1 year for the first battery which comes with vehicle. At least that's my experience with Renault and Ford.

@@WalkWithNeff My friend have booked a Baleno AMT, 2023 Model in Pathanamthitta. It will be delivered by Feb 2023. As per the update that I got, they say it's way far better than the old Baleno. It has 6 airbags, rev Camera, 9 inch display and the list goes on. And the body shell is made with 53 % high grade steel. I believe it's a good choice.
Even, I am looking to buy the same, I did a Test drive for Altroz, Tiago, I20, but I liked Baleno, Baleno provides very good ride comfort during long journey, look wise and also for engine refinement, New Baleno is the best. I also heard the Mileage is best in the segment with 22.34 KMPL for both Manual and Automatic.
