Great video! I needed to watch someone take the lighter apart & reassemble it before i attempted it 😂 I have a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l monogas, perfect visual condition, but no spark. I think the wheel probably needs the TLC you gave the one in this video. I got this lighter from my late father-in-law's estate, and i'd truly love to get it back into working condition...means a lot to me. ❤ Thanks for the video...wish me luck!
This video helped me just finish restoring my kolibri kreisler, mine also has issues striking but its functional about 70% of the time. I was able to find the patent page on Google from the 1950s which helped me to date it as well as find out how it's supposed to work, since the spring inside mine was so rusted away, it was a single ringlet of the end of a spring.
Hi! I have a lighter like the one in your video, but I'm missing the metal part that goes together with the flint wheel... So the wheel doesn't spin. Do you think it can be replaced with some kind of washer or other solution? Thanks!
Hi, The wheel will not move without the clutch spring. It's difficult to make DIY, so I think it's a good idea to get a junk lighter on ebay. Good luck✨
hi i have a colibri slim i dont know if its vintage but i think it is.ghe problem is it has a leak when reffilling butane..i dont know how to repair it..
2 gaskets. Take one from a cheap plastic lighter refill valve. Same exact one. I used the other from a drip tip I had. But you can buy 10 of every one for $10 on eBay.

Hello,
What was the name of the dremmel tool you used to clean the flint wheel?
Thanks, Scott
Hi Scott,
I don't know the name. I searched for something like this and bought it.
Where can I get extra springs for the clicker? I accidentally stretched mined out trying to get it too hook back on
Not available as individual parts. You had better prepare a junk lighter.
