    Ah… We share the same tastes in Doxa watches: the Sub 200 Sharkhunter and the Sub 300T Aquamarine. The Sub 200 Sharkhunter is definitely on my short list. When it came time to purchase my first Sub 300T however, I went with the orange Professional because that was the choice of old school divers and, of course, Dirk Pitt! But why must I force myself to choose between the Professional and the Aquamarine, when I can eventually have both…? 🤔😉

    Thanks for reviewing the Doxa, I have the Carribean and love it, so I enjoyed your review a lot. The Doxa is so legible despite a small dial with a lot going on on it, its incredible. Its such a fun and friendly watch yet it packs the punch of a Sea Dweller. Congrats on your color choice, that turquoise really pops on the matching Isofrane. I like to wear mine with an Erika’s Originals, takes the heft off and super comfy.

    Excellent interview. I own a Sub6000T professional (no longer in production) . I met Jacques Cousteau’s son, Jean -Michel Cousteau , a couple years ago and he wears a well worn Doxa to this day.
    I have used mine when I dive in addition to a dive computer. My complaint is , on the big case 6000 series, the Iso Fran rubber strap is way to stiff and doesn’t fit right. With just the screw bars in, you can’t even get a nato strap to fit. And with the bracelet fitted to my wrist for every day wear, the extension is not sufficient to fit over a 5 mil wet suit. I can add a link to fit over a wet suit, but then it will be too loose for every day wear.
    Also, too anyone who is curious, a helium escape valve is only useful to a saturation diver during decompression in a pressure chamber. World wide, there are only a few thousand certified SAT divers, and far fewer who even work in that field. So a HRV is useless to the vast majority of people who actually get in the water.
    And that’s something you now know!👌

    • @whereRbearsTeeth
      @whereRbearsTeeth Год назад

    Maybe I copped out, but I purchased the Seestern version with the Seiko NH35 movement. I think if Doxa would have brought the price of their 300t more in line with the 200t, I would have gone for it. Also, I own some Christopher Wards with the SW-200 movements for about half the price each. While they are solid Swiss movements, they’re nothing spectacular. I hope I did get too many negative remarks, but I find my Seestern to be top notch in quality & looks.

The clasp has very sharp edges which is uncomfortable and mine is running around 25 secs slow . I don’t think this is really acceptable for a watch that costs nearly 1900 pounds .perhaps if I get it regulated and stick it on a rubber strap I may grow ro like it . I think I will bag an isofrane
