    I'm going to use a apple/cherry blend. I've got some rib candy that I'm going to glaze one with and see how it turns out.

    Nothing wrong with letting these guys sit at 170 for an additional 15-25 mins , then Jack temp and glaze , will have a better texture inside

    I use hickory blend for chicken and it’s damn good. Not bitter I don’t think.

      You get the bitterness from real wood. To be honest I don’t think it matters in pellets.

    Thighs love great bro! I love ramping up the temp for that crispy skin and thighs are so forgiving

    I had to add another comment I just seen another way to make your barbecue sauce not so thick and pasty and still have it tasty thin it with apple cider vinegar you still get the flavor of the barbecue sauce but you don't have the sugary sticky sauce but you still have the flavor and you also get the benefits of apple cider vinegar which is very good for your body

      thats a good idea and would go great on pork . i also cook alot of my pork with it already to give it the flavor but some times we just like the OG sauce.

      It can be a lot. If you keep it clean it works better. But I have seen it get super hot.

    Sooooooo you don’t take off extra skin and fat?

    • @BuckeyeBackyardBBQ
      @BuckeyeBackyardBBQ  2 года назад +3

      If your referring to the bottom of the Thigh as the extra skin . Nope just left it. Don’t mean you have to eat it but it helps keep
      The chicken moist!
