These two episodes have literally struck some tears for the beauty of those stories. Thank you for the opportunity to witness something I wouldn't have had the chance in my entire life. This was amazing..
I'm a Junior Designer/Developer/Start-Up founder. I'm loosing my mind over how nuanced design and business is but this channel has become my saving grace finding my process.
Bravo! You know you have great content when everyone's been sitting through an almost 60 minute video on RUclips. Really insightful interview. Kudos to the entire production team.
This was just awesome! I like how this interview alternates between going so broad and then so narrow. You can pick a lot of life lessons if you listen. And Chris, thank you for letting this interview go its own course, I know people had a lot of questions and you perhaps wanted this to be a specific thing but this felt so natural and it is just pure gold. Thumbs up for the whole The Futur crew!
I love how Kyle works from the back door when assets are slim. Being creative with limited money, time, or assets is the key to true creativity - often this is misunderstood or under appreciated. Love this interview. So refreshing. So egoless. Really great. Thank you.
Bought this book called "Motion By Design" 10+ years ago and that where I first knew about Kyle and also back when I first fell in love with motion graphics. I've been to a lot of startups.. name it. till circumstances brought me back to my old passion. found out about the futur just a year ago and while rooting back to some legends I used to look up to, I found this! And wow!!! all those shitty times I had that made me lose my faith, to whatever people want to call it (a god or whatever), I am thanking that, I am now seeing my way clearer to where my career should be going. Here's that quote from that book that build the values and behavior of my recent startup company: "Passion is what ignites and fuels the desire to create. It is the reason why we get up in the morning."
Before these videos, I didn't know Kyle. But now that I do, I've become a huge fan of him. I'm amazed that he's so humble and spiritual. That makes me admire his personality more.
I can't believe I just found this. Loved this video, and I'm feeling something... title design might be the category that I was looking for -what I want to specialize in the future....!
This was awesome. Great stories, hopefully Kyle is up for more in the futur. That negative self talk is a lingering BEAST. I guess I have to buy a FUTUR mug now.
Thank you & great job like always!! what resented with me from this episode is the topic MR Cooper brushed up on towards the end in regards to, EGO, Narcissism, negative self talk ..etc Would appreciate it if the futur takes on more self development topics that directly affect young creatives. Jose might be the guy for this :)
I worked at Prologue around the time of this interview. Ian called me and I answered the phone. Long days and hard work. Kyle looks at everything that every frame of all projects everyday.
The doubt at the end, the negative thoughts, are bad. I agree. But it's also been a powerful force throughout my career. It's that doubt that has made me push my work and not allowed me to become complacent. The Same self examination that means I have to stay humble because my work will never be perfect or good enough. I have to keep learning and growing. I have no choice
Super Cool discussion! I always thought it would be so cool to work on the movie titles. This all started with an obsessed with the Bourne Supremacy closing credits tying to figure out how it was done. In fact this turned in to a special project while at Art Institute in early 2004.
Finally! I'll have to watch this tomorrow though, it's 1am here and I've got a job interview at 9am haha! You'll hit 100,000 in 2 days! Mark my words Chris! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I haven't watched part one of the interview. I can still appreciate the insight that is given in the interview on how he got to this point. This made me think I could start a motion graphic studio in South Africa, but the thought of missing links. Might email him for points, if he answers

I'm a Junior Designer/Developer/Start-Up founder. I'm loosing my mind over how nuanced design and business is but this channel has become my saving grace finding my process.
there are just a few big ideas to learn, but then the application of which could take some time. but that's what we are here for.

wow. just wow. amazing interview. so much to think about. You can see that Kyle truly speaks from his heart. Did I see some tears in his eyes?
i didn't notice any tears. but if you put a timecode in here, i will double check for you.
Well, not tears but watery eyes, when he was talking about his regrets.
I love how Kyle works from the back door when assets are slim. Being creative with limited money, time, or assets is the key to true creativity - often this is misunderstood or under appreciated. Love this interview. So refreshing. So egoless. Really great. Thank you.

Awesome! Call it serendipitous, but this really helps me with what I'm doing right now. I have to "Listen to the work."
