0:37 reminds me a lot of the Mancer's Dilemma from Bastion. Enjoying this series so far as someone interested in wood working. Thanks.

The greatest intro I have ever received to tools/Wood working and what they do really appreciate your channel. built my first project today, made 2 ceder planter boxes.

Keeping a desert shop really would present a challenge. A few years ago, I went swimming in Phoenix- in January. If you were to lean a board against a wall in that sun, it would cup, crown, and split before you could plug in your planer. I commend you for your tenacity; being indigenous to a much more temperate climate, I admire that you could adapt to woodworking in a place with no trees. Saguaro is rather woody, but I prefer the fresh-cut, dripping wet black walnut logs sitting in my garage.

Enjoyed the video. Glad you were able to get the salad dressing out of your shirt. I was not as fortunate when my wife decided not to secure the top on a new gallon of red paint. When I picked the can up and began to shake it, the lid flew off and I was immediately covered with a half a gallon of red paint from head to toe.

Lol! This was a great video. Glad you posted it.
Something I noticed. While your shop and tools have changed... You haven't. That was... 2003??? You look the same. Your style is the same. The way you "teach" is the same. I like that over the years you've managed to move up... But you haven't changed. I really like that. Thanks for inspiring and teaching us... And entertaining us. Lol...now I gotta go build something!!!

I commandeered the family room for my castle/workshop and park my pickup truck in the adjacent garage. Next to the workshop, opposite the garage, is the all important kitchen. All three have doorways leading out onto the rear patio and yard (barbecue grill, extra work area, etc).

regarding the stain, I'd start with a low angle smoother right off the bat. It looks like the stain changes direction near the shoulder so be aware of tear-out. Or just buy some festool stuff.

Are there any brands to stay away from? For example a jigsaw, circular saw, plunge router and drill by Makita is $625 in total from Home Depot, which to me sounds like a reasonable price, but how does one know if it is poor quality. As a beginner, there isn't much to reference to. Thanks for the videos!

Very cool video, liked it and your teaching skills alot.
But dude, no need for the "Man vs. Woman" intro bit and comments about your wife mistakes and etc., there's no need for that.
You surely can do better to make comedic relief for viewers without doing unnecessary stuff like that.
But yeah, liked alot most of the video, subscribing to you.

It was meant to be a joke that lots of people can relate to. Sorry it hit a nerve with you for some reason. I do a lot of "unnecessary" joking around and I don't take things too seriously, so you probably want to get used to it if you plan to watch more. :)
