Pretty smart adding both English and Japanese dubs in one video, it gets the video over ten minutes, and people don’t have to agree over sub or dub. It’s a win win
The biggest weakness though is watch time. RUclips's algorithm REALLY puts an emphasis on how much of a video you watch. So only watching half (or 60% if you watch the credits) can still hurt them.

Okay, so, as a big Cing fan, dataminer and archivist, I am torn. This is probably the greatest fan made Hotel Dusk content out there, yet at the same time, it's hard to recommend to my friends due to how lewdy it is, lol. While the characters's edges aren't always thick enough, it's unbelievable that even the 3D map was recreated. I can't congratulate you guys enough on this, and I quite glad that we got to see this scale of work.
I played the shit out of hotel dusk as a kid. I never expected to ever hear it referenced again. I dont even know anyone else who's heard of it. Pretty dope

One this I’ve always like about this series is how it blends the usual anime pacing and style with western jokes and references. It’s a delicate craft, one where it can easily come out as bad. However, you guys always make it so wonderful. Keep em coming, Vs! The sauce at 3:36 & 8:15 respectively is 389286 Jiyojizm autumn (as well as the rest of the series by uousoah) is a top tier and cultured Doujinshi. I recommend it for anyone who’s looking for something a bit more spicy with phenomenal art.

Just asking not hating on ether but if the original was done in English (like all of Otaku Vs stuff) and was later dubbed into Japanese as they have been doing recently. Wouldn’t that mean the videos English version is just called that the “English version” while the Japanese version is the dub and the sub, as it was later dubbed in Japanese and subbed in English? Just wondering as I saw another comment mention it and it got me thinking about it as well

I see those "ring for service" bells in some shops and motels but have never seen them for sale anywhere, not that I've went out of my way to look for one.
Bought one at a dollar store and set it outside my room for people to ring to get me to come to dinner, or get my attention when I was listening to music.

This was really good! I liked the increasing amount of cigarettes in her mouth. The humour really worked for me this time around. Maybe it's because the pacing was perfect. Not too fast. The actors/resses have gotten better. The script, timing, and execution are all great. Maybe a part of why "it hits different" is because you're parodying a game, so you have a fundamental base to work around.

I seriously don't understand how you guys don't get millions of views on every video you make. These are the highest production videos I think I've seen where there's proper aesthetically pleasing visuals and sound effects.
I just realized how smart it was when you rang the bell at the reception desk, you used the visual DS tap indicator as if it was us tapping it and then revealed that the whole episode was just a DS in the end. Brilliant attention to detail! 😯
Not a bad episode all things considered. I do sorta miss the more campy feel of the otachan show before the shift to full on 2d animation because it managed to be a bit more fast paced with the humor but this type of stuff is great

at 5:33 I don't why but that sound effect reminded me of an old ps2 video game that was like a final fantasy and detective games mix together been trying to find it the game for a while to play it again.
I feel like the "Otachan" phrase between cuts should also be English dub just like the section of the video its in. Kinda jarring to have it pronounced in Japanese when we've already heard "Otachan" in English before.
Music is smooth and colorful as usual, jokes hit, and the intermission screen aesthetics were great too. Love to see you guys confident enough try something new with this episode

That's not a 3DS, thats a DS Lite. You can tell from the placement of the buttons, where you slot the game card in, and the massive GBA slot on the underside with the cap-cartridge slotted into it. The entire artstyle of the episode was a reference to Hotel Dusk, a game for the DS, so it makes total sense.

Got out of bed to watch this today, really motivates me to see you succeed after having been a fan from the original animatic. This reminded me alot of that original style so nostalgia points as well.

Ota-chan ticks every box for me. Excellent humor, on point animation and god DAMN that synthwave slaps.
