Maps have a CLIFF_GENERATION section that, as you might expect, is where you make the cliffs. Only cliffs have a hard-coded distance by which they avoid the centers of the player bases, so I couldn't use that to place the cliffs on this map. Instead I had to place them in OBJECTS_GENERATION, where I pick a specific (x, y) coordinate for each individual cliff and manually place it there. Each cliff object has a "rotation direction" (the same way you rotate units in the scenario editor) that determines which of the graphical sprites it uses, and I manually had to set those for each object. The map itself has 4 possible rotations, and I had to go through and make sure the cliffs all were positioned and rotated appropriately for each direction so they would appear between the players.

It's crazy how walling early just denies so much with how cramped the maps were. It was huge in a couple of matador's wins where ozone just literally couldnt build or go anywhere.

Love smallest maps!
I went to one of those small created towns as a kid. Like Epcot I suppose. This game fulfills that artistic urge. To model and play. That one in Hamburg you mentioned- Wunderland - has a computer controlling 4000 cars, trains and people. And that’s just one town in one corner. We control 200 units and it fries most low-ELO brains.

This is not evacuation, it's just stepping outside of the house.
This was the best one of them all, map wise. The game was rather static though, considering it was a smallest map
T90 the place you're thinking about could have been Roadside America in Shartlesville. It has since been closed and abandoned
@14:22 Miniature wonderland, I went to one in Spain and it was super epic. I don't remember where it was my exactly, my dad and I visited a bunch of places from his childhood for about a month or so long vacation, when I was getting out of the military. I really love how this community is truly global! maybe one day I'll stop lurking on smelly youtube and start playing!

I have watched 70% of hidden cup V and I just found out that buildings on cracked terrain receive extra damage

Restore their range as players advance through the ages.

Town centers 4, 4, 5, 6
Krepost 5, 7
Castle 6, 8

can you reduce the range of ALL Units?
because archers outrange towers. trebs and monks control the whole map.
It's possible I suppose. I would need a list of every individual unit that needs its range reduced so I can loop over it and generate lines for the map script to reduce their range. But then melee units might just dominate...

kinda sad that HC is over now but at the same time hopefully now there'll be a bit less of all the new players it brought in who keep doing shit like laming and knight rushing at ~600 ELO. I don't have the brainpower or the apm to deal with that, save it for the 1200s people please.

I'm surprised that turks aren't more prevalent on these maps, since gold is going to be much more prevalent on that map compared to other resources (so their gold bonus is more powerful), Jannisaries are a great castle unit, and the lack of crossbow usually doesn't matter
