- The incredible remote island you can camp and 4WD on!
Welcome to the next episode of AuSolo - the show shot, edited and presented by Graham Cahill.
This episode he heads Dirk Hartog Island, Steep Point Western Australia.
This 4wd island is an Australian Bucket List item. Graham goes solo camping on a deserted island - he catches huge fish, and gives you an incredible insight into one of the most amazing campsites in Australia
Graham couldn't have done this trip without his well set up canopy from MITS Alloy. Learn more at mitsalloy.com.au/
Graham chose to run Bridgestone Dueler ATs for this trip. They have superior puncture resistance, heaps of traction, and still work very well on road. Learn more at www.bridgeston...
#4WD247 #4wd #westernaustralia
This is 100% on the bucket list - What's the 4WD hotspot or campsite that you've always wanted to go to? Tell us below!
I've always wanted to go to Gibb River Road. Location: Kununurra to Derby (WA)
That breakfast will not be on my bucket list.
CSR!!
cone Bay in the buccaneer archipelago in a 4x4 would be awesome. done it plenty by boat but iv heard the drive is a good one
Cape😫
Is it just me or are the aus solo videos really calming
It's the music
Thanks mate
The easy going tempo and amazing vision of what i see on the screen I find.
They are down right therapeutic. I have seen each one about 46 times.
Try it yourself. Seriously, spend 3 days solo camping. Particularly some where remote. You won't be the same person when you come back.
GREAT TO SEE AN EPISODE THAT ISNT JUST ADS, THANKS GRAHAM. now go have a man
Your not a man till you had a man
This is one of the best episode ever published on this channel (and I have watched all of them multiple times!). I love those solo episodes, a perfect way to showcase the beautiful country of Australia. And thanks Graham for those stories, I love learning about those places! And how cool is that the Island has no feral animals!! So many things to love in that episode!
Ah heck mate thank you so much!!!
Uhm Graham, You said DHI was the last place in Aus to get a sunset. I think you are wrong. What about Christmas Is.?
My partner and I spent a week on DHI back in 2017 on a 6 week 4wd trip whilst she was 20 weeks pregnant. Best time we ever had. We even spent a night in the shack ;) Can’t wait to go back there. Awesome video Graham. Brought back so many memories.
Graham "I only needed to winch half a car length" Cahill is back..... 😀
Better than Shaun this brand and that brand Whale
Mick Graham what was the name of the camper trailer they use again?
@@Baseballbjj scamper camper
Great Phrase: "Tyre Pressures are the number one modification" etc..
Totally underrated, that simple "mod"
I bet shuano would be craving for that fish in his hands
yep, since he never seems to manage to catch anything on camera XD
If only they Taught history this way when I was at school, would of made it a lot more interesting! Awesome work on the editing and the effort you go to!
Absolutely stoked we are seeing more aus solo, this style of video with more info about the areas would be great on any 4wd 247 episodes. Awesome work Graham
Struggle to watch the recent 4wd247 videos because of the spam of ads! This is refreshing though
uBlock Origin
@@astol87 I think he is meaning the "paid spots" "oh wow lets go to the mycoolman fridge and get a ice cold iron jack while using this particular LED torch, and turn on the lights using the redarc manager 30"
It does suck but if it keeps quality free content coming our way I can live with it.
Reason #32 why I love this series, no generic metal blokey 4x4 music. You are one of a kind Graham.
Does anyone else think Graham is turning into Russel Coight? Just going by those out takes at the end..
This guy cooks like my dad did when he got divorced.
🤣🤣🤣
😂
Lmao
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the first time you have drank your own beers on a trip
As a Dutch myself it gives you a kick that this island has a dutch name
and by the way i love your channel, because in the Netherlands we don`t have such tracks and because you are good presentators
Soon as i saw the notification I clicked the link to watch it. Made my day yeww love this show
We used instant potatoes for the same, they also work really good for coating chicken tenders and pan frying them
Whilst I'm loving the camera work and Graham makes me smile every time he opens his mouth I can't help but miss the older AuSolo episodes. Maybe it's just me but in this one I noticed every time a brand name was placed perfectly in front of the camera.
They gotta get paid somehow
123jakboy and without pay, we get nothing for free
Hey Mate love the solo trips it's why most of us own 4wds, not to do the hardest tracks but to go to places that only a 4wd will get you there!!
Keep it up mate your a legend!!
Let me preface this with, I am from the United States.
That breakfast sandwich graham made was the most Australian food I have ever seen in my life lol.
trapped in Cali.. dream of islands! thanks!
I never knew how pretty Western Australia could be! I think I have been living under a rock for to long. 100% on my bucket list can't wait to see more of Western Australia!
Check out Esperance if you haven't already.
feral4mr2 I have always wanted to go there! like I said I have been living under a rock...
@@bratzzz6217 make sure you go in summer. Winter will leave you a bad impression of the place... 🤣
Best beaches in Oz.
my favourite state, stunning
@@feral4mr2 Thanks I was just about to plan to go in winter! lol
Potatos (and sweet potato) done like this, cooked in peanut or sunflower oil , season with a bit of steak spice and chicken stock powder. I've cooked this for about 15 people. Everyone has loved them.
I reckon Shaun’s heart is pumping everything but goodwill..
This is epic..
Thank U Graham..
From a Saffa stuck in the northern Bushveld South Africa!
Am your fun from KENYA (EA)I would love to see you driving along with Shaun Jocko and your friends especially one with Nissan.can't wait to see you on track again.
That Aussie, European, Indian inspired breakfast will get some thumbs up mate.
Reminds me of the west coast of Baja California Mexico ! it's definitely awesome !
Who cares about fridays. Thursday afternoons is where it is at 🍻
Right on beer o'clock!
Its the pre party for Friday lol
After this week it's school holidays
@@HarteshwarG downer man
It’s Friday Eve.
Was on the bucket list when you said remote island! 👍👍👍 Best episode of 2020, seemed much shorter than 37 minutes. Spectacular!
Indeed an awesome episode!
Once again Graham @ecomuse absolutely killing it! So good my friend!
Thanks mate
Beautiful views and no crowds. Perfect!
yeahhhhhhhh needed this!! This kind of touring would be good with Roothy if you are all still on talking terms .. Get the old crew together for one more video.
Absolutely on my bucket list, first I have to make the long trip from Texas. I was way closer a couple of years ago when we went to Bora Bora, maybe we'll make that trip again and just keep heading west! The humor in this one was top notch!
One of the best episodes ever. Informative, historical, peaceful or soothing. Really sets the pace and gives an aura of inspiration to visit a nature site and just take in the views and the sounds and the smells.
in South Africa , now i wish i had moved years ago. great episode and i love the self editing, excellent.
Lionel du toit Totally agree. In the same position and it’s practically impossible to get out now.
People’s champion of the Aus Solo.. 👍🇦🇺🍻
That breakfast...you must have a cast iron stomach mate lol
Yeah I’m like a billy goat.
He has it from Shaunos cookin
That amount of vegemite alone would break lesser men!!
@@Slug-Anderson Incorrect, that was the perfect amount of vegemite, but I question his addition of canned spaghetti and curry powder.
More curry than bread
Graham.....what can i say mate. You're so lucky to be able to be going to places like this. What a dream to be able to visit that place. Amazing. Love your work mate, truly superb!
Thanks heaps Jimbo
@@EcoMuseImages_GrahamCahill my pleasure mate! One day hopefully we will cross paths once this lockdown is over here in Vic and have an Iron Jack or three. Stay safe mate.
Wish I had the courage and determination to do what you do Graham!
Mate, maaate your videos and storytelling are simply brilliant please even when the gates open up again please keep doing these!!
Thanks maaaaaate 👍🏻
relaxing country music that i love it so much combining with the gorgeous scene. great trip Graham.
This solo series really makes me understand the true vastness of Australia! (Watching from Canada)
Love the solos
You do a really good job Graham, this is what 4bying is about. Not the vehicle destroying smashing and crashing.
Again, way better filmed and edited ... Then Shauno’s 4wd247 uploads lately and he has a actual filming crew.
Hi from your Canadian friend. Wow so nice there . I like your solo video's. Keep up the great work. Be safe on the trails
I absolutely love this series graham well done on all the work you've done to bring it to us.
That sure aint a breakfast for beginners lol. The cab of that dmax will be needing an MAGIC magic tree after that. 🤣👍
Absolutely love this series. Graham doing social distancing right 👍🏻
Probably the only 1😂😂😂
Excellent well-done Graham and all alone fantastic content lets hope 4WD 24-7 keeps the content to touring and 4x4 Action..
Love this show so much
AuSolo is a great format and well done by yourself Graham. Shaun and the boys are good but getting too commercial. Love your first two entertaining and informative videos and are looking forward to your next production.
What a beautiful island, love the little history lessons you tell along the way. 👍👍
Wherever Cahill is, it just doesn't get any better.

THAT SUNSET!!!!!!!!11 WHAT!!!!!
Work can wait
Awesome place mate. Definitely visiting ONE DAY
You guys have made me a tru Aussie and I’ve been here for 1-5 years and I’ve been to Fraser the tele track
Theirs lots of 4X4 channels out there in RUclips land, but only you teach the rich yet lost history of our beautiful country. Thanks for the extremely valuable education Graham, you make me proud to be Australian!
Just found out they sell Iron Jack at one of out local stores here in Midland Michigan 😀🍺🍻
It’s not that nice mate
Loco Bogan I figure any beer is at least worth trying once 😂
What can you say. Ausolo Is gold.👍
Or late Wednesday in Oregon, USA!
This man is living the life
I worked at Von Bibra car yards on the Gold Coast, Dudley Von Bibra stared it in Tasmania 🤘🏽
You forgot the lemon for your fish !! Looked good... and, believe it or not, I even guessed correctly that the secret ingredient was instant mashed taters. Sounds like a winner. Awesome scenery there.
Love this series Graham! Inspires me to get out and tour our big backyard properly! Can’t wait for the next one 👌🏻👌🏻
Hi Graham. Wow, I must applaud your unique skills to record beautiful views and story tell at the same time. It’s literally a true reflection of a lifestyle which you are enjoying. Please consider yourself successful because you, my friend, are living the best out of your life.
Looking forward to the next video 😎 . KG, from South Africa.
Just realised how addicted i am to this channel.. tops mate
Love story time with Graham! Makes me really want to move to Australia. Much love from America.
I have seen this episode approximately 80-100 times still love it and love to watch it again it gives you peace and calm 🫶🏽🫶🏽
let’s go
Congratulations on getting the first comment award 🏅
Looks Great, and makes me a bit sad, as i will never get there, great video
Beeoooordiful
Greetings from Guatemala. This was just beautiful. Love the fish and potatoes.
Never thought I would see Deb mash used to coat fish :D
This is the content you guys should making. Not the other 30 minute long infomercials about your sponsors.
If you can't Graham should go out alone he'd better off in the long run with content this good.
Those chips are called “smashed potatoes” and are a favorite in our family
My girls love them too, perfect with some fresh herbs and done on the BBQ with plenty of butter.
Graham, you bring so much positive energy, enthusiasm, knowledge and joy to the AUSolo video's mate. It makes them an absolute pleasure to watch and gives us all more places to explore and more reasons to get out there and explore. Keep it up mate.
Thanks so much mate 👍🏻
nice looking d-max graham
Smoking the game with this episode!
How long until ya get the new dmax mate? I see shaunos already been in and around em.
Absolutley froth when i see graham cahill putting out a new ep of aus solo breath of fresh air! Safe travels
Love the video! Keep it up!
another history lesson this week .... not the only one thinking it
Good to see you had your safety thongs when standing on the edge
One of ya best mate, what a place . Really wish I had of made the time when we were in W. A ....... next time.
You won’t regret it mate
The afn bar 👍🏻
Loving these solo trips Graham. Getting off the beaten path, discovering and experiencing new places. Keep up the great work!!!!
Been waiting all week
I actually love this series.
Its so nice to watch a series thats about 4wding but also a series thats teaching me a lot about the state i live in.
My ute still needs a few more mods and i need some time off work booked before i can explore these areas. But trust me when i can then i bloody will!
Anyone gonna notice how low the suspension is at 14:50 to 14:55
wow... and why ?
Didn't see this till i read the comment... but its true.
Great video Graham! The Aussolo episodes are a new favourite
Been waiting with a cold one for this!
10/10, please make this series a regular thing!!!
wheres your doggo?! Who looks after him while you're away?
Love the video!
No dogs allowed unfortunately
@@EcoMuseImages_GrahamCahill why did you stopped posting on you channel?
Graham, yours and salty's are my favourites. Your commentary about restocking DHI with native animals is in line with David Attenborough's message about rewilding our planet. We need this term to be part of our everyday vocabulary.
