I was stuck until I realized that there aren’t any problems in it. Wallah I have answered just about every question that I had lol, Alhamdulillah, they are science or nature in the Quran no doubt miracles, but it’s just one book from god not a book describing biology or something but Alhamdulillah it’s good too see these miracles because it increases knowledge and without a doubt was never wrong. I actually found a possible explanation of the first hadith:
In biology, at a cellular level, the female fluid (yellowish) is an acidic medium. This is important for the following reason. The male chromosome (y chromosome) is fast but has a weakness to acidity, while the female chromosome (x chromosme) is slower but more acid resistant. With this knowlege, one can infer that if the female fluid overcomes the male fluid, the weak male sperm will not survive in the highly acidic medium and the female x chromosome will reach the egg first thus a female will be born (XX). Similarly, if the male sperm overpowers the female fluid, the faster y chromosome will reach the female embryo first thus producing a male (XY). This methodology of thinking does explain the hadith in a scientific way. However this is just my hypothesis. I was a biology student in highschool. But id rather see a more knowlegeble person look into this. Barak allah to shaykh yasir for clarifying this debate because it once gave me doubts and my hypothesis helped me get rid of these doubts and hopefully for anyone else suffering from doubts.
what is the female fluid in biology ? and how does it have anything to do with genes? it is the egg of the female which has a role to play not a female fluid?

I like what you said about the scientific miracles of the Quran. They initially drew me towards Islam, but through the years I've come across some interpretations that are very far-fetched, or even outright incorrect. So I learned that you can't make these things the foundation of your faith.
obv people looking for miracles have to crack their heart and let Noor enter it then u will see miracles nonstop but won't base ur religion off it
Actually the growing opinion is that the egg “chooses” the sperm cell. The sperm cells crowd around the egg and the egg lets in a single sperm cell. There is also more than one way to influence sex at conception.

• In Sahi Muslim from Saubhan ( A freed slave)
• It(The Hadith) seems to suggest that gender of child both are responsible for!
• Now we know it is determined by the time of contraception.
• Modern Genetics know for a fact that woman plays no role in determining the gender.
• These Hadith that conflict is used by people who are used to cause doubt within the heart of people, and they demonstrate that people don’t know whether the Hadith is preserved or not for example like the Mautazli Strand.
This hadith seems to contract genetics so what is to be done?
1st - Check the authenticity of the chain.
This case the chain is flawless and is authentic hadith.
2nd - Once the isnad is authentic now the variations of the hadith are checked.
• Quran is narrated by Mutawatir unlike the hadith it is narrated by meaning not by wording. Earlier narrators they conveyed the meaning not the exact wording sometimes some narrator used to convey the meaning in a way that the Prophet(pbuh) did not intend.
• It seems to suggest that gender is decided by both the fluids and that is somewhat problematic as it is not decided by both ,so you compile all the other narrations.
• It occurred Infront of many people so another witness of this was Anas Ibn Malik and he has a much more detail of the narration and mentions a different wording.
• The hadith of Shauban was conveyed by meaning and one of its phrases was problematic and Anas ibn Malik was closer to the original it is in both Sahi Muslim & Bukhari. Bukhari is unique in it.
• Imam Bukhari choose the version of Anas ibn Malik. Rabi name Abdullah ibn Salam heard that Prophet(Pbuh) had came to Madina so he came to visit him. He said “I am going to ask you three things that no one knows other than a prophet.” The similarity was asked not the gender of the child. If his fluid wins the race than he will look like him and if her wins than it would be like her.
• Some say SABAQA means to mean first it also means to be dominant. (Dominant Genes)
• If his fluid is dominant than child will go on him and if her than it will go on her.
• Preference of Hadith of Bukhari over Muslim.
• Ibn Taymiyah was asked about this Hadith, and he said that he felt that wording that was more preserved was that of Bukhari!
• We Need To Be Careful And Not Read To Much Science In The Sacred Text Because These Things Are Meant For Our Spirituality ,Who HE Is , For Guidance It Is Not A Book Of Engineering And Medicine!
• Our Faith is not linked with science.
• There can be a perception of clash. Not an actual science.
• With the passage of time the critics would come up with certain things that would be in direct contradiction with our texts and we would be always defending it!
Mashaallah, absolutely right, because A child's gender is determined by only one person. male or female. The gender of the baby is determined by the bones. Adam as had 14 ribs. But Adam's left rib was removed and Bibi Eve was created. That is how Bibi Maryam gave birth to Jesus the Messiah.

Interesting. So the fact that a hadith is sahih doesn't mean that the hadith is reliably transmitted word for word 🤔
You need sometimes to check the wording of all narrations we have of that hadith.

Y sperm means male chromosome if dominate in fertilization result in male.
And X is female chromosome if dominate in fertilization result in female.
That is the first part if anomalies, more X or more Y fertilize or fail to in disjunction than anomalies
Than the hormones levels change the appearance and results.

Brother I was reading a research paper in which a study done in some Australian University concluded it's not XX and XY chromosome responsible for child gender they mentioned some gene number which I don't remember says if its comes in quantity it decided the gender regardless of the XX or XY chromosome and they called it as sex reversal which you can now Google and read.

Dr. Douglas Owsley, chief forensic anthropologist at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History, determined that the skull had undergone multiple blows and slices from at least three different sharp-edged metal implements. He concluded that these marks were made during a concerted effort to separate soft tissue and the brain from bone. Months of intensive scientific testing led Owsley to conclude that this treatment is clear evidence of cannibalism-the first forensic evidence of survival cannibalism at any early European colony in North America.
Very interesting. While women provide only X chromosome, and male sperm X or Y which will be the reason of male(XY) or female(XX).

Hadith no kia hai
16:16 Woman's fluid doesnt contain genetic material. Its the egg that has to "overcome" man's fluid for the child to be more similar to the mother. So this still doesnt fit with our today's genetics theory.
In sex determination X and Y chromosomes are involved, not genes. Your clarification is wrong.
Well, the same hadith through another source seems to be about similarity and not sex. So you can see that it's not very reliable to be for a scientific investigation really.
Yeah chromosomes = genes, The X chromosome has about 900 genes while the Y chromosome has about 55. Nice try...
I like how YQ tackled this hadith however the last part of his video shows he's a little scared of conforming scientific truths in the Quran and leaving a record of saying 'Ive never said the Quran say such n such'.
it is understandable, science changes often, for example: they used to say there is dark energy, now they have evidence suggesting there is no such thing as dark energy, only dark matter exist, sciences keeps falsifying itself, and if we forcefully incorporate into Quran that can be used as falsifying Quran or a contradiction.

Thauban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said: While I was standing beside the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) one of the rabbis of the Jews came and said: Peace be upon you, O Muhammad. I pushed him backwith a push that he was going to fall. Upon this he said: Why do you push me? I said: Why don't you say: O Messenger of Allah? The Jew said: We call him by the name by which he was named by his family. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: My name is Muhammad with which I was named by my family. The Jew said: I have come to ask you (something). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Should that thing be of any benefit to you, if I tell you that? He (the Jew) said: I will lend my ears to it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) drew a line with the help of the stick that he had with him and then said: Ask (whatever you like). Thereupon the Jew said: Where would the human beings be on the Daywhen the earth would change into another earth and the heavens too (would change into other heavens)? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: They would be in darkness beside the Bridge. He (the Jew) again said: Who amongst people would be the first to cross (this bridge).? He said: They would be the poor amongst the refugees. The Jew said: What would constitute their breakfast when they would enter Paradise? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: A caul of the fish-liver. He (the Jew) said. What would be their food alter this? He (the Holy Prophet) said: A bullockwhich was fed in the different quarters of Paradise would be slaughtered for them. He (the Jew) said: What would be their drink? He (the Holy Prophet) said: They would be given drink from the fountain which is named" Salsabil". He (the Jew) said: I have come to ask you about a thing which no one amongst the people on the earth knows except an apostle or one or two men besides him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Would it benefit you if I tell you that? He (the Jew) said: I would lend ears to that. He then said: I have come to ask you about the child. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The reproductive substance of man is white and that of woman (i. e. ovum central portion) yellow, and when they have sexual intercourse and the male's substance (chromosomes and genes) prevails upon the female's substance (chromosomes and genes), it is the male child that is created by Allah's Decree, and when the substance of the female prevails upon the substance contributed by the male, a female child is formed by the Decree of Allah. The Jew said: What you have said is true; verily you are an Apostle. He then returned and went away. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He asked me about such and such things of which I have had no knowledge till Allah gave me that.

But fluid does not equate with DNA. This still is a scientific error. Yes, it is the dominant gene, but that does not equate with the fluid. SMH. Dr. Qadhi did an deep dive on this one and forgot to breathe.

This is an issue of language, rhetoric and context. In Arabic, as in many languages, the whole can refer to the part, like saying 'my head has gone grey' or 'I have gone grey' when one intends the hair only. This example is found in the Quran (Zachariah in chapter of Mary) and multiple places in hadith. You can't interpret these texts without deep knowledge of language and grammar and what is possible in terms of meaning and what is not, and that's what the Dr Qadhi has done. Finally context, the Prophet spoke in language his people would understand, he never elevated his language to sound more intelligent or confuse (despite this his language is beautifully eloquent), his task was to convey a message. Expecting details on DNA in a hadith is plainly absurd.

Narrated Anas:
When 'Abdullah ibn Salam heard the arrival of the Prophet at Medina, he came to him and said, "I am going to ask you about three things which nobody knows except a prophet: What is the first portent of the Hour? What will be the first meal taken by the people of Paradise? Why does a child resemble its father, and why does it resemble its maternal uncle" Allah's Apostle said, "Gabriel has just now told me of their answers." 'Abdullah said, "He (i.e. Gabriel), from amongst all the angels, is the enemy of the Jews." Allah's Apostle said, "The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring together the people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver. As for the resemblance of the child to its parents: If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first, the child will resemble the father, and if the woman gets discharge first, the child will resemble her." On that 'Abdullah ibn Salam said, "I testify that you are the Apostle of Allah." 'Abdullah ibn Salam further said, "O Allah's Apostle! The Jews are liars, and if they should come to know about my conversion to Islam before you ask them (about me), they would tell a lie about me." The Jews came to Allah's Apostle and 'Abdullah went inside the house. Allah's Apostle asked (the Jews), "What kind of man is 'Abdullah ibn Salam amongst you?" They replied, "He is the most learned person amongst us, and the best amongst us, and the son of the best amongst us." Allah's Apostle said, "What do you think if he embraces Islam (will you do as he does)?" The Jews said, "May Allah save him from it." Then 'Abdullah ibn Salam came out in front of them saying, "I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah." Thereupon they said, "He is the evilest among us, and the son of the evilest amongst us," and continued talking badly of him.
