I remember last season had one of these types of arena and I was able to get a full arena buff (I don't know what else to call it) at the expense of epic-rarity cookies (the ones that added to the arena buff for me were really low leveled, so I had to contend with Soda and Cherry) and whenever I destroyed a cluster of obstacles, my game began running at, like, 5 fps

No... Why why doughnut Is appearing again i don't have them leveled i can't do this! I leveled my scorpion to finally being able to use her! Why doughnut have to ruin It again!!?
