it is probably acceptable as spy video, but really though we can go without the catering and the sound of cutlery.

The food clanging is psychological warfare against North Korea. They don't have food.

Of all the possible futures regarding NK, there is only one that would absolutely have the support of the PRC, and that would be to have a NK that is non-belligerent, non-nuclear, economically stable, and aligned with the PRC. This is not an outcome that can be engineered by the USA, SK, or Japan, although they each can assist to differing degrees getting to this outcome. Only the PRC can engineer this outcome, and can do so without the regime change being perceived by the majority of the NK elite as a threat to their status. The PRC wants to preserve the division of Korea, to have a compliant regime in NK, to have a non-nuclear armed Japan and Korean peninsula, and have a region that is much more stable economically and politically. Such an outcome is in the interest of all the nations and involved parties of the region. It would also permit a slow transition of NK to a more economically modern and stable condition, and would enable such a transition without destabilizing the region. Which would the PRC prefer? To find itself dealing with a dangerous, unpredictable, belligerent and destabilizing NK for years or decades to come, if not a catastrophic military confrontation, or dealing with a NK that remains isolationist (but increasingly less so over time) which is generally subservient to the interests of the PRC and which does not threaten it neighbors nor destabilize the region on a regular basis?

but NK being the way it is is a boon to the PRC, like a buffer of crazy, sufficiently unpredictable so that the West won't poke and prod it to gain insight. Without China's backing, I feel the situation would quickly be defused one way or another, so the current standing is probably as intended imho

"A Conversation on North Korea" - people eating, dishes spoons banging.. My mind is blown by most of what ISM produces for free for us, im not complaining but this irony is wild. Warnings of 2021 90's famine in NK: www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-56685356

NK has a problem feeding it's army in peacetime so you can just imagine how it will be during wartime, after a week there would be cannibalism and the war would be over.
To the lady from the q&a: The Swedish embassy has successfully helped get American(s) out of Nk in the past and it's usually toned down as to save face, but in this game you can't win 'em all.
The biggest threat to the Kim dynasty are probably all the microsd cards going over the border from China, a issue dad and gramps didn't have.
Keep up the good work The spy museum, best quality over quantity yt channel!.

yeah it's all a giant smokescreen, they only get by on internationl aid, the amount of humanitarian aid that goes directly into supporting the regime yearly is astounding
