I heard Indian Summer back in 1977 and I became a Poco fan. Saw them in concert once or twice. With Cimarron 615 the spirit of Poco is alive and well. But these guys aren't a tribute band, they're putting out original music - they're the real deal. Rusty and Paul can rest in peace, the Legend lives on. And I still say Poco belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Yeah, it's not Rusty. And it's not quite Poco. But gentlemen, you have done this song so so proud. Jack And Mike played it many, many times, and it would be surprising if something didn't change up a bit each time. So blessed to see and hear this, and looking forward to more. Long live Poco! By the way, congrats to be doing SXSW. Now on for a proper tour!
@Cimarron 615 Right now I'm listening to Brand New Distance. The whole album is a masterpiece. Seriously. Not a weak song on it. 5 brilliant singers, songwriters, and musicians. The Poco influence is obvious. But it's not Poco. It's not trying to be. I just saw that you guys will be at NAMM next week. I've been several times and was looking forward to this year. But alas, life (and health) got in the way. If you ever get up to Northern California I'll move mountains to see you!
sad that this version of the band did not last very long.......just like poco......randy & jimmy were gone from the original lineup within a couple of years.....
Love you guys!. To me, when you play these songs, to me, The Poco Spirit is in the area around you. Long live Poco. I miss them so much. Doug
