Holmes is indeed correct; the letter E is often the most repeated. For example, look how often E appears in the Show and Episode Title; ShErlock HolmEs in thE 22nd CEntury - 1x11 - ThE AdvEnturE of thE Dancing MEn It appears a total of 9 times, confirming Holmes's theory.
For the commenters who asked: I don't think they ever told us why Tennyson can't walk or talk. It's obvious that he doesn't have legs. Some of these stories are quite close to the originals, while others merely borrow the title. It would have been interesting if the writers had shown Holmes reminiscing about the 'original' cases during a couple of these.
Alphapkmn - You may have noticed that the people involved in these cases had the same names as in the original stories, also. It would have been a great way to introduce the audience to the source material.
I used to watch this too. Every morning before the school bus would show up. It actually started me reading the original books and stories. One of the greater cartoons of that generation. I miss the thought that went into them.
Also when you think about it, he was dead for two hundred years then reanimated so perhaps his memory is a little incomplete...Just summising though....
This series is fantastic; I never heard of it before now. I've been wondering, why does this show seem so much like _PHANTOM 2040?_ Both series are very well produced, but by different companies.
yeah, but you missed my point about saying that cocaine is an ILLEGAL substance now. he'd have to abide by the laws of today and not my the laws he knew back in his Hey-day. I just don't see him breaking a law....
Isaac Kim It's so sad that this is underrated if by some miracle it got an anime reboot I can totally see it being done in the same style and tone as Ghost in the Shell or Psycho-Pass.
Oh, yes, Ghost in the Shell style animation. Then they could get into the ethics of resurrecting Holmes (and upgrade Moriarity and Fenwick to the sort of threat that would lead to such an act).
Of course first episode establishes that she's a fan girl. Who is pursuing her ancestral relationship of being his professional contact as well as her cheat sheet when it comes to stuff that doesn't involve car chases.
Sigh. You're still missing the point entirely, it's a Illegal drug now and because the show is based in the 22 century they may have come up with something else to stimulate the mind. and not to mention there are other ways to stimulate the mind other than Illegal drugs. I.e DVD's videos, mystery books. besides two hundred years is a long time to reflect on the past. and plus his body was rejuvenated so perhaps he just doesn't crave cocaine or nicotine anymore...
One of two easy things for his drug habit 1 it's a kids show 2 if memory serves me correctly he got them out of Watson's medical bag and the current Watson is his police bug / leash so he's not dumb enough to try and get an illegal substance when he has an narc Nanny that thinks he's your best friend from Victorian period.
This is actually a very valid point. Since his body had gone through basically a hard reset all of his addictions probably got nullified and he was basically turned off from the stuff, and you are correct there are other ways to stimulate one's mind, movies, books, for me I go for a walk, get the blood pumping. Plus if I remember correctly I heard in the books when he needs to think he plays the violin, that's the detail I remember hearing the most in every form of media, from books to the internet. And you are correct, 200 years is a long time, laws change, some things become legal, some become illegal, and others are suck in limbo. Also on a side note in ep 1, he made a comment about women being in charge, I do believe he just insulted the queen herself.
Children's television has elements that would never fly in adult shows. The original Baker Street Irregulars were homeless (or simply poor) children that Holmes employed as spies, lookouts, and messengers.
Their stand-ins for the audience then being kids is a common trope in children's media. And the reasons why they have houses instead of being homeless again children's media ,it be too dark if some really revive gentleman from the past is employing homeless children. So they were allowed to make then is mentoring Club four would be young detectives. Instead of his homeless spy ring.
Well the coffee and smoking I don't mind so much (I don't support smoking though) but the cocaine is a bit much and considering when the books were written cocaine was a legal drug at the time. But I'm sure that now in this time and in the 22 c that cocaine is still an illegal drug and can only be obtained by dealers ad or making it you're self. I'm also certain that he wouldn't want to break the law by obtaining an illegal substance. Well that's just my feeling anyway. sorry about the rant XD
Yay we figured out a way to grow food in space!!! But what if this falls into the wrong hands???? Oh so it was rebels who wanted some independence from a facist government (episode 1 w. crypnosis and mandatory dna db) Yeah this show has a bit of a political slant.
I miss this show. I use to watch it early in the morning before i went to school
Myself too!!

That surprised me too! Considering the Dancing Men coode was used in the books, I was surprised Holmes didn't at least recognze the code.

0:05 What is that sound? What is he supposed to be saying?
I would love to see a more mature anime reboot of this show.
+Derrick Haggard You and me both.

Large problem is getting the okay from the doyle Estates holders. Because they hold the rights to the stories and the characters.
hehe yeah, ghost in the shell style with Watson as a tachicoma. XD
Lestrade is mean to everyone who tries to help except Sherlock.
Of course first episode establishes that she's a fan girl. Who is pursuing her ancestral relationship of being his professional contact as well as her cheat sheet when it comes to stuff that doesn't involve car chases.
I learned the e trick from this
Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century is supposedly on Paramount+ 🤦♂️

he still has a mouth, he just can't talk.
Either they were in the club during the off-hours, or it's the lamest club in New London.
😊
Forelock twenty two century
😢
Okay. So I can get Sherlock letting some kids from the Hood help him out. But Lestrade should know not to let children in on an investigation.
Yeah but they wanted to be detectives as well
