I used their reinforcements, but the finish quality of Balkan's finest "professionals" cannot compare to Redish work ethic. I even gave them a laptop full of Redish videos to consult, helped none.
Thanks Ivan, it's really great to read such nice comments. We're so pleased you found it interesting. We love what we do, and we love creating videos and sharing our work with the world via our RUclips channel.
James have you never thought about opening a joining bodyshop? The respect your work ethic and level of detail must attract people who want body paint jobs with the famous Redish professional standards
Hi Chris, it's a great question and something I've considered many times over the years. Our Restoration Technician Dave was also a paint sprayer years ago so we even have a 'head start'. Just need to take the plunge and get a new building, plus an angel investor to get a high quality production setup! haha.
Great work! I’m about to repeat similar job on my Z3 and I have a question about those painted threaded bolt holes? Were you able to screw into the bolt holes easily after all? Any recommendations? This would be much appreciated .
Hi James, what is the product you use for the spray on seam sealer? Is this something I can purchase from you in the BMW e-coat colour? Thanks and hear vid
If you read scientific studies on rust converters you learn most are acid based which seeps into the microscopic pores of the metal and down the line causes new corrosion. It's a hard decision. However everyone always says once rust starts it will come back no matter what, so I guess all methods from that point on are just cyclical 10 year restorations.
Hi Tony, It's this sort of thing: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rivet-Stud-Bolt-Hexagon-Body-Steel-Choose-From-M5-M6-M8-Choose-Pack-Size-/173421071316 Please consider subscribing to our RUclips channel!
Absolutely fantastic quality of work, just surprised that you left the cavity bungs in and painted over them at the ends of the sills. Is there a reason for that? Not a moan, just an observation.
Thanks for the comment Julien, you're right - it wasn't until near the end I realised the same thing. I had a poke around the area with a pick and lifted the edge flaps of the grommet and was happy there was no hiding corrosion so deemed it acceptable. Good spot though. I've been doing some restoration work on a 325ti & your videos are inspiring me to keep at it. The standard of your work sets the bar very high! Where do you get sprayable seam sealer? I have searched everywhere but I can't find a suitable product. What brand is it? Is it called "seam sealer"? Thanks
Good questions Alimechs, we're about too actually. Obviously people know the name and can find us easily on Google, Facebook, RUclips, and Instagram etc, but we're recording some new content now during the Lockdown which including myself in front of the camera for a change.
Great vid with clearly photographed and described information, thank you for sharing 👍
I love this channel and this type of videos. Really apriciate you take your time to film this and post it to youtube. Cheers from Croatia

@@RedishMotorsportbmw I'm sure it would be successful, but i know what you mean about new ventures
all this nice work and you put again old rusty bolts???
as he said, the customer is getting the outer sills redone at a body shop..👍
and didnt even wash the original mud off the sills ,,, thats attention to authenticity .
I love a good Redish video, but they don't half make you worry and depressed about your 4 wheeled baby
You can’t use a car you care about in winter in the UK.
Great and thorough job I’m impressed only thing I would do is remove the plastic screw grommets as rust as you know likes to hide
Hi Anthony, thanks for the kind words. Yes, good recommendation. We'll do that next time. Thanks.

Wax was cool
Thanks Cameron. Glad you liked it. Yeah we think it's a cool thing to video too!

Hi can you tell me how much would that cost to do a job like that and that is great video
roughly , as a guide , what would a job like that cost ?
Great video thanks. How much would a proffessional job like this cost?
What brand of cavity wax are ye using?
How much does such of service cost roughly? I'm aware that it will be case-by-case dependant but just to get an idea?
Hi James, what is the product you use for the spray on seam sealer? Is this something I can purchase from you in the BMW e-coat colour? Thanks and hear vid
How much would all this cost?
Think I saw on another channel it was £1400
Great.....something else to tack on to my long-term list of things to do
You can do it!
Have you tried hammerite rust remover gel , i was really surprised at the result for what is in effect a diy product

Compared to a M3 e46 this is magnificent in build quality
Very true Mani!

Did you check the Wurth catalog? I'd bet they use something from Wurth.
I believe the sprayable seam sealer is proprietary to Redish Motorsport.
16:46 I thought it was spanish
Two things I've realised in life. 1. Perfection is expensive. 2. Everything has it's time.
Good comment!
Why not reveal you and your garage.

I'm afraid to discover the full extent of the corrosion on my cars, I must bring them down to you 2 x E34s and 1 x E39
You can’t use a car you care about in winter in the UK. There’s just too much salt on the roads.
Seal sections lol I presume he means sill sections..?
Typical UK car...
True
Ask your self, do I leave in an area where it snows? Then rust is inevitable an any car. Its a Z3, not a zed 3.
Z is pronounced Zed in Europe.
thats totally lost in typing ,,,
In the country that invented english, ENGLAND, the Z is pronounced "Zed". Americans pronounce it 'zee" for some reason😅
