He doesn't have strings that lead to stances, crazy plus frames, fast high crushing moves, quick ranged pokes, or that many strong lows, which is why it's up to the fear of throws to set up his game plan. That on top of his weaker movement and need to play in your face make him pretty balanced, but people that can't break throws, predict throws, duck and punish throws, will just whine and cry for nerfs. Hell id agree his heat smash does too much damage, but all of his launchers save for DF2, 1 are unsafe. Id trade heat smash damage for B1 counter hit again.

You have to do a microdash before doing the kicks. The timing is really hard, Majin is just that good that he nails the microdash every time.

In my experience, yes. I had to use powercrushes, backward jaguar step and SS 2+4 b constantly. His backdash feels worse than in T7 unfortunately.
