I'd love it if we could see a bit more of Katelyn's screen, especially since she's usually the one out and exploring. Feels like it's at least 75% Evan and while I get that base building can be really fun to do, it's honestly not the most engaging to watch.

It's cause Even forgets he switched to his screen at one point and Katelyn doesn't notice till quite a while later.

Evan likes to be the main character in every video game. He has to be the one to do things because if katelyn is doing it then hes missing out. He will often adventure infront of katelyn and rush to do things before her in other games so hes the one reacting to the situation and things. He ends up missing a lot and not seeing extremely obvious things and it almost ruins it for me. Also he makes some bad decisions because he has to be main screen and attention has to be on him he doesnt think about other things like katelyn enjoying the game and making sure shes unlocking just as much as he is whether thats gear, skills or doorways into new areas. Evan's usually gotta run ahead and try to do it first and/or upgrade himself without even caring if katelyn is or wants to be. Not trying to bash or diminish their relationship because thats between them and clearly their happy and if there is an issue then they should work on it together. Im just stating how evan acts. I gotta admit though when i first started watching them i thought evan was gay because the way he acts. I wouldve never guessed they were married if they didnt say it. But i guess that happens in relationships that you pick up your significant others mannerisms and stuff they say.

Nobody remembers but Pokemon was NOT the first creature collecting game. Most of the formula came from preexisting games. What Pokemon added was the ability to trade them with your friends.
Also some pokemons took "inspiration" from previous games creatures... all this pokemon fanboys just dont know
I used to be said Pokémon fan but lately I’ve gotten so much hate from them, groupthink is a powerful drug, this game looks lovely I do hope it works out and evenandkatelyn continues playing
Please please please show more of Katelyns screen play. I love you both but a lot of times ive noticed you forget or just dont switch when shes off exploring or doing something cool. Also try to work together and level up together she was level 9 when you hit level 12.
Ugh yeah. It’s a recurrent and frustrating issue. His level of consideration for her game play experience is always lacking.
I really wish their split like their minecraft play on 1 season. It's up and bottom. Not toggled but i can enjoy both 😂

Aaah, now I see what happened with the Boss Mau inside the cave; Evan's nightwing did the tornado attack thing and then dive bombed it, which knocked it temporarily unconscious and then off the map in a glitch close to the rock wall next to the gate/exit/loot room. Man, bad luck 😅
The organs don’t go bad, they just go out of tune 😂
You don't have to take out stuff from your storage crates manually, it will automatically depleat straight from your storage crates when you craft items and you both share the materials that way
Love when survival/crafting games have this feature!

@@k_boo8232actually there’s a workbench you can get so anything you make there can pull from adjacent chests! I think you buy it from Robin? It’s not all chests but it’s certainly helpful
I'm enjoying this game, and I'd definitely watch if you guys play it again.
It's almost a perfect blend of Pokémon and Ark. If you look at the cover art for the game, it's a perfect replica of the Ark cover art, just using their critters instead of dinos.
Still want to try Ark one day, it just seems so intimidating to start!
That's what I've noticed. I haven't played Palworld yet but me and my younger brother played so much Ark back in the day on various servers and lots of mods.. and this looks to be 90% Ark inspired but with a few elements from other survival, rpg, rougelike, etc games. I'm definitely looking forward to trying this game out myself in a few days!

Keys for some chests can drop from human enemies, and open world bosses that are out in the world can drop them, also by doing dungeons and tower dungeons when you complete them by beating the bosses you can get keys from the treasure chests at the end.

you can share pals, one person deploys the pal as a worker on base, then the other person can put it in their palbox. :) this is how I gifted my friend a giant boss melpaca.

To clear up some agregious misinfo spreading around from the twitter rumor mill:
-the dev never talked about "stealing fakemon to make ai generated pals": that was one of the devs talking about how buzzfeed did so in a completely unrelated matter to pals.
-this dev never said he used ai to make pals.
-it is also not possible to use ai to make good models yet: these models had to be made, weighted, rigged, and animated by hand. And all of the pals have multiple animations each. A lot of love were put in them.
- for the closest models: specifically the wolf and a few others, it's now recently came out that the twitter user that put out these falsified the models to make them look closer, and they ADMITTED that their reason to do so was because of the "pal abuse" in the game.
-pal abuse is. Completely avoidable, and never forced upon you. I'm doing a run right now where I've never felt forced to force my pals to slavish labor.
There is more debunking, but please don't use twitter right now, rumours are nasty right now.
This game reminds me of was it Ark (?) with the dinosaurs and Pokemon combined.
I love both of you guys and would love to see both of you playing maybe try setting up a 20-30 min timer and try to follow a person specifically for that 30min. The two different gaming styles you guys have is what made me love your gaming page

What I think would be neat is if this game had alternate ways to tame creatures.. like feeding and petting or gifting something to wild ones until they decide to be friends and join you. Vs the caveman method lol

Fyi You can dodge and roll your characters to avoid getting hit, you can also slide on the ground and you can duck down to stay low and hide. Also if you slide on a grassy hill you'll slide all the way down or till you jump/stand up.

Tip: you can heal you ko'd pal to full by sleeping thru the night which heals you and your party
also if you deploy cat *directly* next to what you want him to work on, he'll work on that (well. more likely to work on that)
This game is weird. You beat Fauxkémon into submission, make them your slaves, exploit the free labor they provide, and then eventually arm them with assault rifles and flame throwers... All so the cycle can continue.
I'm surprised PETA hasn't caught wind of this scandalous digital creature abuse and slavery!

Need to change max pals at base to 20 to...it helps alot ...and you still unlock slots as you go so no jumping forward or anything
I'm only an hour in, and maybe my question will be answered later in the vid, but did E or K try to capture the "dead" pals? Swirly eyes in other games and anime like this means knocked out, not dead. Dead is usually "X" eyes
No unfortunately. If it is flopping on the ground it is dead. It will fight you till it dies or you capture it

I played for almost 8 hours straight last night! It’s so fun
47:45 in Pokemon scarlet I got a Venemoth and named it Danger Fuzz

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO PLAY THIS! CLEARLY YOU DID NOT ENJOY POKEMON MUCH BUT WILL SURELY ENJOY THIS.

I'm only an hour into the video so some of these may already be know, here are some tips and tricks I've found in the last few days playing.
1) turn on keep inventory, since the game is still is beta there are parts of the map where you fall through and die so your stuff gets stuck under the map.
2) eggs spawn on a lot of cliffs but also on the top of the huge stone peaks in the distance
3) eggs and chests respawn over so much game time so be sure to mental note where they are for easy finds.
4) collect the green glowly things as they are limited so refinding them sucks, they are easier to see at night
5) build your base in a flat area as cliffs and water cause your pals to get stuck a lot.
6) the mammoth mini boss isn't an easy boss, if you wonder around easier mini bosses can be found. Start small to level up (also apparently bosses can be caught as well as regular pals)

A possible fix for forgetting who's on the screen is just have the stream split screen instead of one big and one little.

You have a good chance when I pal gets a status condition like being frozen or wrapped in vines or burned or paralyze

They get knocked out, I killed a lamb and pushed it off the cliff cause I could bare it in my base the next day I went down there to get rocks and it was alive chilling. They wake up 😂
I didn't get to watch the whole thing yet but did they ever figure out that they weren't killing them when their eyes go spiral? They just stunned them if you wait a minute they get back up so it's best to catch them when they are stunned like that
