I pray for this work, and for the ones doing it, it is glory to God when the word of God is exalted.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
    (Colossians 3:16-17)"

I have honestly not come across any group like The Corner Room. Please never lose your unbelievably beautiful sound and ethos... I love singing the Bible text, the acoustic instrumentation... it's amazing. Thank you!

Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me!
    2
For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
    3
Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!
    4
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.
    5
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

Wow that is a glorious song. It's full and powerful with the orchestra but respectful and true to the psalm. Thank you 'The Corner Room' . Linda

Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
    my salvation and my God.
This verse is always the very first that comes to mind and singing out my mouth when I'm distressed. Oh, how I love God's Word and the power in it!

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I hear the concert of creation in the climb of Jesus to the Garden of Gethsemane in this song.
Did He sing Psalm 43, preparing His unknowing disciples for His betrayal and their abandonment after winning the victory of surrender in the bloody sweat of heart rending prayer?
I believe His flock shall all see moments of soul-fraying turmoil in the ragged faith to which we cling while His hope is born in our surrender and His faith becomes our praise.

That’s a great question. The song is definitely a ballad, but as for style? What do you think?

@@TheCornerRoomMusic I really don't know. It seems out of the 1920s, evoking a song I heard in a film long ago - a Yiddish lullaby? Something sung from someone's memory of their "Old Country"?
