I carry the apds first, and shoot for the gunner. On shot 2 I either choose solid or ds. Its like the early British tanks with solid an APHE, such as the A13 mk. II, where I carry the solid, then finish off the crippled tank with the filled round. In my experience, it’s better to get guaranteed pen than to get a possible one shot. britain gets fun after the centurion mk.3. Tanks like the vickers mk.1 are super fun to play, though the armour is lacking, the gun and maneuverability make up for it
British tanks can be quite powerful, you just need to employ and use tactics. as I say to many other players, only brits can play brit tanks. It requires specific mentality. once you figure out the ways of playing brit tanks, you'll be walking away with 5 kills 1 death. the death usually being from CAS
You’re actually right, British tanks can be played by British players or cold blooded players😂. It’s something away from the standard, you need to change the way you play and the places to hit. That’s why I’m really not doing well at all. Also, you need to be patient all the time.
So I play USA or Germany around 6.3 and was wondering why you would use the Comet over something like the Walker Bulldog. It has a really good APDS with 300 mm of pen point blank and decent mobility. Does the extra armour help with survivability? I’m currently grinding GBR right now, (I’m at a 3.3) and was wondering what the best tanks are in your opinion, so I know which ones to research first. Great gameplay, definitely subbing for more!
I honestly don’t know much about British tanks that’s why I’m trying to figure out what the best, the armor on the Comet is not useful at all especially if you’re facing Panthers and Tigers. Also, I recommend getting the Challenger at 5.3, it has better reload and decent gun but very poor armor. My advice is to get that 4.7 lineup, Avenger, Sherman firefly, Churchill and good CAS. for Comet 1 I recommend taking Solid Shot Mk 8 it has enough penetration for most tanks, but it has better spalling characteristics.

Funnily, I find my british winrate way above my german winrate. Britain having a bad reputation helps it in mid tier amazingly.
