I love how you casually make me feel completely stupid for navigating my file browser every time to access my S1 song folder instead of being aware of the Song - show in Explorer/Finger command. And then, all that Find Command feature (the point of this video!) comes as a cherry on top. Thanks again for making me feel stupid while making me less stupid.
Thank you for highlighting this new feature -- it's a huge addition that apparently has been largely (or possibly completely) overlooked since v6 rolled out. You've done a real service, Lukas.
Don't have V. 6 yet but one thing I realize is how much I don't know about SO yet. Most of the functions you described I've never used or I don't even know what they do. So I would call it inspirational. Thanks.
Good idea, too. What you can already do is add a shortcut to the "Keyboard Shortcuts" window, then press this after you run a command from the popup. It will show you the last executed command along with its keyboard shortcut...
Great find and highlight. ...thank you Lukas! I'm amazed considering how powerful S1 is in workflow optimization, that this was not highlighted by PreSonus (at least that I saw) This is right down Greggor's macro/shortcut/toolbar alley. As a long time S1 user, I'm on the fence regarding 6.0. Had this been highlighted early on, I might have been more convinced from the start. I'm in an editing session right now in 5 and I already wish I had this feature. My hope is that they intend to enhance this feature (maybe why they did not mention it now) with a little more functionality w/in the dialog box. For example, showing the command w/in its scrollable context , showing the associated toolbar, quick shortcut setup, tagging. There is so much under the hood w/in S1, that we can only hope. Thanks again for this and all your other great content!
Thanks! It was not shown because they did not know about it ;-) And yes, this feature is going to be enhanced further. My concept of this feature included much more... but it's a start :) Glad you already find it useful in its current state! I use it about 100x a day.
Indeed, a great option Lukas, the developer could have added a pop-out with the similar listings instead of scrolling. One might not have the knowledge to scroll or the memory.
just discovered this, I'm shocked Presonus doesn't advertise this more! This is a KILLER feature for power users! Would love to see them add even more customization to it - filter which options can or cannot show up, for example.
Glad to hear you like it. I created this feature together with PreSonus' dev team. Marketing does not know about it so they can't advertise it. More customizations might be added in the future!
@@studioonetutorials awesome, and thank you! I recently switched from Ableton as I'm doing more media composition work. I do not think I would chosen S1 if it weren't for this channel, which specifically shows that S1 can compete with Cubase.
Thanks. I'm not one of the devs although I have developped features for Studio One in the past. But primarily I'm a product specialist who also comes up with feature concepts (like this one).
Klasse, Lukas. Deine tips helfen. Version6. Die Videospur alleine war das Update wert. Ich wünschte, die Showpage hätte noch eine Live looping/recording Funktion. Könntest du das anregen?
@@studioonetutorials actually, it would’ve been more helpful if you’d mention that when you first show this at 1:30 instead of just saying “I only need to press any key”
@@MaduroMan Perhaps, but the key command can be different depending on the OS or version, so it's not really about the exact shortcut. But you're right, I could have mentioned it earlier.
@@studioonetutorials of course, I just informed that the default key command was Ctrl/Cmd+K; and I think the majority of users don't customize their key commands that much; there are but not the majority! Hence my comment ; )

Hahaha. You're welcome! I love making people feel stupid :D

That's great to hear :)
I had no idea this function existed. Will be using it a lot from now on. Thanks for the 'heads up'
Up to now i’ve used a key command to call up Keyboard shortcuts but this is much more straightforward. Thank you Lukas, I had no idea!? 🙂
Yes, hardly anyone knew about that feature :)
I'm amazed they didn't really show off with this. This is awesome! Thanks
Thanks! Yes, hardly anyone knows that this feature exists!
this is HUGE! Thanks for showing.
That’s simple but fantastic!
Nicely done Lukas. I am a little embarrassed to say I never knew this but glad you shared.
It's a new feature we have added in version 6, so hardly anyone knows it yet :)
Hi Lukas, This is a fantastic new feature. I would have never known it existed in S1Pro 6.
Thank You So Much for letting us know about it. 😎👍🏻
I use shift loop and loop back commands al the time so useful indeed!
Fantastic! Would even be better if it would show the keyboard shortcut, so you can start to memorize it.

great video Lukas

Hey Lukas I suppose you are one of the devs or close to them. Thanks for the hard work you guys put in.
It's so quickly overlooked 😉

Awesome
What is the key you pressed to display the Find dialog?
I explain that at 4:00. The default shortcut is Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on macOS).

I did write about it ; )
And it’s Ctrl/Cmd+K by default ; )
Yes, but many users have already assigned Ctrl/Cmd+K to another command so for them it won't be Ctrl/Cmd+K by default ;-)

Usually I go to the Help window and Mac highlights the command for me.
Which Help window?
What's the key command for find command?
Cmd/Ctrl+K by default. But: Go into the Help menu and look, as shown in the video ;-)
They kept this quiet. I don't even recall seeing it in the release notes. They should be publicising all this stuff 😅
It's true, it's not in the release notes... that's why I show some of the new stuff in my videos ;-)
@@studioonetutorials yea thanks for showing it. It just happened to pop up on my feed!
I found it [Ctrl] K
...or Cmd+K on Mac.
