SeraphimSwordmaster, I agree with you about the music, for each game in the series it's always awesome, Motoi Sakuraba is my favorite composer, I also loved his work in other series like Star Ocean, Golden Sun, etc. And Tales has always been real good with character devolepment, and the skits also play a big role in letting you get to know the characters, that's one of the reasons I love this series.
I tried downloading the wrong but it doesnt work I dont know if its either the rom or the emulator thats the problem. If anyone who succeded would they mind telling me some good sites that could work or where they got theres?
She's Lilith, Stan's sister. It seems the game designers were going to make her a playable character, but for some reason stopped, and never added in a real way to get her. In the Japanese version of the game, there is a glitch you can do to get her in the party (see my Lilith Glitch videos). Unfortunately, they removed that glitch from the English version, so the only way to get her is with a Game Shark code.
Agreed, they really needed a Hard Mode for this game. Oh well.. at least they did make him into one of the hardest bosses in the series in the PS2 remake.
I felt like having everyone use some of their best moves for this fight, rather than having the CPUs deciding what to do, just for the fun of going all out on him, since it was the final fight and all.
oh come on people, 9 YEARS AGO, whole friggin 9 years, search around for that tales of destiny ps2 remake , that's what we called 'OMFG EYE CANDIES PWNED'
@aricain You will also need to set Stan to Auto, and the character in slot 2 to semi-auto or manual, otherwise Stan will not be controlled by a CPU, you can do this by pushing select in battle. You need to equip an item called a channeling to the other character to control them. You will be using controller 1 to move on the map, and controller 2 for battles. There is no other way to do it, since Stan is permanently in slot 1 for the entire game.
Definitely agree with that, very easy, but with a great story. I bet you could just set everyone to Auto, and have them fight & win every battle in the whole game for you if you wanted to. The remake made up for it though, it took the great story of ToD, and combined it with a challenging battle system, to make one of the greatest games in the series.
Equip a Channeling to the character you want to play as, put that character in slot 2, then when you're in battle press select on controller 1 until Stan is set to Auto, the press select on controller 2 and set that character to Semi-Auto/Manual. With this setup you'll use controller 1 to move on maps and controller 2 for battle, there is no other way to do this.
Yeah, you just need to get this item near the beginning of the game, called a Channeling, and equip it to the character you want to play as. (Make sure to put that character in the same slot as the controller you want to use. (i.e. character in slot 2 is controlled by controller 2)) Now just push select on the controller in battle to set the character to semi-auto or manual.
If you mean the Lion's Side game mode from the PS2 Director's Cut, then no that wasn't in here. But you can play as him in battle with a second controller.
@indarkness123 Yeah, you need to use a second controller to control any of the other characters. This is because you can't change which character is in slot 1.
You don't have to be rude and call others a noob. Jeffrey is a very accomplished gamer. Just because he isn't using quick selection (nice spelling btw) doesn't mean he's a noob. I wonder if you can show us a vid of your 8000 HP accomplishment, if it's true.
@benjamillion I suggest you buy the PS2 remake, this one's OK but the random battles come very quickly and the story progress is very tedious since you'll be constantly backtracking from place to place. The original version is one of those games with very fluid animations but *very* slow story. Slow to the point I even didn't bother to take a look at the game's timer.
Nope, one use and they are gone. I had gotten quite a few of them over the course of the game, and never bothered using any, so I just decided to waste all of them on the final boss, just for the fun of it. XD
how many hours can be put into playing through this game? my cousin is thinking about buying it
Really? o_O;;;
What level are you? ...
I’d love to see Reimu Hakurei face Miktran/Chronos. (I know what program I’d use)
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. :)
You'r don't have divine power spell for clemente (Phlia) ?

hi i read that you cant control your other characters like stahn is it true??
si are you using a second control to use themm??
Nice, using the Summon Items. :D Were those items unlimited use or something? :/
He does that during his hi-ougi. Koutenshouyoku (razing phoenix).
He turns into a phoenix, which is pretty big. o-o
question when does garr's swordian becomes revivable cuz it seems that hes dead and i cannot equip him .-.
"Space Steak has appeared. It is the enemy. Do not die."
I won't argue with that, his battle theme is one of the best in the entire Tales of series.
BTW, what's this quick select he was talking about?
Did I not notice a quicker way to tell my allies what moves to use?
No, Barbatos is originally from Tales of Destiny 2, he was just a cameo in the PS2 remake of Tales of Destiny.
He's just using all the summoning gems thinking "Ah what the hell it's the final battle" most of the time.
very nice vid man:)
Well this person is level 59.
Hmm... Try looking for it in your move list?
I haven't played in a long time either. x}
I tried downloading the wrong but it doesnt work I dont know if its either the rom or the emulator thats the problem.

That's why I don't own it. Just seeing the Monster-Dhaos battle slowing down every half a second would have driven me insane.
what was that black hole like magic? was it Gravity Well?
Yeah, this is the final boss of the game, but the ending scenes and credits are in the next video.
Can't argue with that.
It's okay Jeff, I don't mind. An idiot's an idiot, as they say.
Agreed, they really needed a Hard Mode for this game.

Mint: Pow-Pow Hammer! (Resist) Let's try that again...Pow Pow Hammer!
such good music for a final boss on the 2nd form...but too dam easy =\
and what's that one skill Stahn keeps using?
i don't have that skill o.o
havn't you got Satsugeki Bukouken for Stan??
oh come on people, 9 YEARS AGO, whole friggin 9 years, search around for that tales of destiny ps2 remake , that's what we called 'OMFG EYE CANDIES PWNED'

what is the name of the first boss song?
Definitely agree with that, very easy, but with a great story.

Kudos for admitting something like that to the public.
VEry good, you should make some infinite combo videos! ;P
how fast can you beat both bosses without commands
I'm not sure, I haven't done it without using commands.
I may try that later on to see how long it would take me.
Well there IS an option to turn the voices on and off in the config menu.
If you mean the Lion's Side game mode from the PS2 Director's Cut, then no that wasn't in here.
But you can play as him in battle with a second controller.

there is a way to do it. but it has problems from what i've heard
Yeah, I've ordered that one recently.
Yeah, he's even earned the name Steak Miktran from some fans. XD
Guess I just forgot to tell Stan to do it, oh well too late now...
No need to search around, I uploaded videos from the remake as well as the original (I wanted to play both).
well hey that is something my friend told me when he was one of the namco fourms when i was on the phone with him
I still have yet to play Tempest, but I heard that one didn't turn out as good as the rest.
So far I like all the Tales games I've played.
Haha, i remember playing this when i was a kid, got stuck with one puzzle, the pipe and water thing? :D
That's just for Rutee's skill Bloody Rose, I think it was in the English version as well.
Wait, I never knew Lilith could be used o.o Is this for japanese version only?
It was exactly what it looked like, Black Hole. ;)
But, I still love FF, especially VI, and VIII. VII and X are good too. I'm only just starting IV, but it seem real good.
@benjamillion
about 35-40, it intepends if you do all side-quests
so theys no Barbatos in the PS1 version?
wait which one? The one in the water?
Sorry about that guy, Flegan. I just blocked him, so he shouldn't be back.
@Leekeana
Its FATE, but first type GIFT for weapon

Yeah, he was a bit disappointing, I'm glad they made him way stronger in the remake.
@benjamillion I suggest you buy the PS2 remake, this one's OK but the random battles come very quickly and the story progress is very tedious since you'll be constantly backtracking from place to place. It's called "Sink into vise".
I got this game, and I don't really get it..
Its confusing, with the battle system, I hope I learn it soon..
Nice vid.
That would be stupid if he was called Prime Miktran. He does look like a alien stake though. XD
What's up with Stahn hulking out and turning ginormous?
Nope, one use and they are gone.
I had gotten quite a few of them over the course of the game, and never bothered using any, so I just decided to waste all of them on the final boss, just for the fun of it. XD
The whole game is easy, but luckily they upped the difficulty for the PS2 remake.
lulz, Neo-Miktran is a steak.
WHAT? I've never seen this before, And I thought I had got all sacred skills?
I've played and beat I-VI, X, and XII
Well its been a while since i've played but I've gotten up to level 68 before.
I always thought that tales of phantasia for snes was the best but this looks okay too
I wouldn't say that, this game is known for it's wimpy bosses, many of which are quite a bit weaker than Miktran.
this is a cool game i have this game in Eng on my PSP =) XD i wanna get the ps2 version tho...
I really wanna play this game since the director's cut isnt in english
Good luck kid, you've got a lot of growing up to do. Don't bother responding because your comments make me yawn.
No offense, but I'd go insane from how the action was constantly being slowed down.
lol cute graphics...makes me wanna play the game over again XD
Sink into vise.
I wish they made it harder, it's the easiest in the series.
guess wat namco of america is actually gonna bring the PS2 version of TOD and TOD2 over here to america!!!
no i don't exactly
Not sure who this is, but we don't need someone else flaming here, so I'll go ahead and block him just in case.
音楽いいなー
Chibis!!!!!!!!!
WOW 0.o i wasn't expecting BLOOD. Theres never blood in tales games. or maybe namco did it first, then decided not to in later versions...
tch yah right. i've only played ONE good tales game and thats tales of symphonia which gets boring easy if you don't play multiplayer.
one of the easiest final bosses in any rpg.
tales of destiny ITS tales os phantasia , but this one is not cool enoghghghghghgh
nope i can't read japanese xD
That had to be the most incoherent explanation I ever heard. Try sentence breaks, kid.
Opinions, opinions...
Besides, ToS is probably my least favorite out of the series, still a fun game though.
